She did our engagement session as well which were equally as beautiful. If you are looking for a photographer, look no more. You will not regret having her as your photographer. When I had my first meeting with her I felt like we were old friends and when we met up for our engagement session she was so easy to talk to. She even had my fiancé relaxed and having a good time. By the way he hates his picture taken, but he actually didn't mind with Crystal. I will definitely be using her in the future if she does maternity, newborn and family photos because she was PERFECTION!!!!

Crystal does an incredible job going over her style of photography with you so that you know what to expect when it comes to your big day! Her questionnaire is very extensive, IN A GOOD WAY, because she wants to make sure she is capturing everything you want! We had a first look & Crystal executed flawlessly -- helping to ensure the groom was set up where he needed to be for the big reveal. Due to COVID, our plans for the wedding changed significantly & Crystal stayed on top of everything to make sure we were taken care of. She is incredibly organized! Towards the end of the night we used sparklers with all of our guests & Crystal & her partner photographer were so excited to capture many pictures for us! With the chaos of the day, she always checked in to make sure we had what we needed. We are so looking forward to getting our previews & pictures back! We recommend Crystal & her team 1,000% and we look forward to having the opportunity to work with her again!

or were older. She was very understanding and we really wanted to work with her, but the Blue Dress Barn venue wouldn’t let us change the date even with the current situation. The Blue Dress Barn offered zero flexibility. We really wanted to get married in Michigan at the Blue Dress Barn and the idea was to change the date for 2021 keeping Crystal Van Photography because I was looking forward to seeing her work. However, since the Blue Dress Barn venue decided not to work with us even by switching our date from a Saturday in 2020 to a Friday/Sunday in 2021, we had no other option but to cancel all vendors. Crystal Van photography was one of the only vendors easy to work with and fully understood the situation. Due to her professionalism, creativity and communication I highly recommend her for your wedding.

Lots of photographs to choose from and the editing she did complemented the moment. Crystal gave good direction, for getting us to get out of the normal smile pose, which led to some great moments. For me personally I would have liked a little more direction, but with the small amount of time we had with her (based on our budget) we really did manage to capture the ceremony well. We got the package with the 2nd photographer too, which I highly recommend getting. . I am not someone who enjoys taking pictures, but Crystal made this part of our wedding entirely stress free. She knew exactly what she was doing and seemed to always be in control of everyone in the room to move things along. Crystal was able to get all of the shots that we requested, even when they weren't the easiest of shots. ade us feel so comfortable throughout the entire session. This was the first time my husband and I ever had professional pictures taken, so we were a little nervous. I truly feel like she spent a ton of time with us and her excitement and positive energy made us feel so much more comfortable. We got our engagement photos back vey quickly and they were all perfect! The day of the wedding it unfortunately rained almost the entire day, but Crystal did her best to get some great pictures despite the weather. At one point, she was standing in the rain for a long period of time trying to get pictures of us on the porch and did not complain one single time. I chose to get a second photographer which was her husband and they were both great. I have not yet received my wedding photos but I know they will be nothing short of amazing. She spent a lot of time getting pictures of the decorations/details and I cannot wait to see them all. She was so accommodating, communicative, and really cared about what we wanted. She was also not afraid to be direct when taking family photos which I loved because it made everything run more smoothly and quickly. Not only was she easy too work with, but she is SO GOOD at what she does. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!

She took amazing photos in an unobtrusive way, and she had them delivered earlier than expected. Overall, I have zero complaints and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. Though my husband and I were a little shy (and stiff) in front of the camera at first, Crystal made us feel comfortable and I loved the final product. Also, make sure you do get the engagement shoot with her because it makes it that much more comfortable for your actual wedding day! Thank you Crystal! We loved our photos!

a of what we were looking for and on the day of the wedding, I trusted that she was capturing everything that I wanted and more and I didn't have to worry or even think about it. And the photos are evidence that my trust was well founded! We are thrilled with the images, they truly captured the day - from tiny details (all the tiny details that meant so much to me and that I want to remember forever and I am so happy that I now have held in beautiful, professional photos) to the big picture (large scale, wide-lens shots that take in the whole scene, which was really important to me as well as we had an outdoor wedding with gorgeous gardens in the foreground and a shimmering lake in the background and in any of the guests' photos it was impossible to capture the whole thing, but Crystal's professional shots take it all in and really do justice to the setting that we put so much effort (and money) in having for our ceremony and it means to much to have it all available to look back on) she really got it all. She also caught all of the moments in the reception, we enjoyed looking through the photos and seeing the parts of the party that we didn't even know were happening around us! She caught small personal moments in the garden grounds and big fun moments on the dance floor, she somehow managed to be everywhere! She even made sure to catch us at the right time to get some sunset photos, which we would not have thought of and would have missed without her. And she made sure that we got photos in all of the locations of the beautiful venue so that we were sure to have all of the scenes that we loved, which there were a lot of, both inside and out! Crystal was really easy to work with and she directed the posed photos with ease and simplicity and she caught a lot of candid moments as well. It was the perfect combination.
