I can't say enough good things about CT Photo Group! Mike shot my wedding photos in May 2024. From the start, he was friendly, organized, and communicative. On the day of the wedding, he showed up 10 minutes early (on an already early morning) and got right to work. He was calm and cheerful even in stressful situations. He turned around the photos extremely quickly, even sharing a few previews within 24 hours when my mom asked for them. It was a great experience to work with him.

Mike and his team were absolutely wonderful! From engagement photos to wedding day it was smooth,fun, and organized. My husband and I when looking for a photographer specifically asked for a lot of guidance as we don’t take many pictures - Mike was perfect and told us exactly what to do. The die hard shot is also amazing!

We could have not been happier with everything that CT Photo Group did for us! They were so helpful on our big day and helped make it so special and captured the magic! The return time was amazing! Watching the video back, I felt transported and wanted to cry of happiness again (this is the groom talking)! I would vouch for everyone to use them.

Gabby and Mike did an excellent job with the photography on our wedding day! They were attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and ensured that everything went smoothly. Absolutely fantastic! Mike was so efficient and spectacular, he knew exactly what to do and we got all the photos we wanted (and much more!) on a tight timeline. He was great with names, corralling all the guests, and working with the kids in our party. Most importantly, the photos came out beautiful.

We first learned of CT Photo Group while looking for a wedding venue where there were some albums on display. While that venue didn't work out, I'm grateful that we were able to find CT Photo Group there. We set up a meeting to meet Mike to discuss packages, pricing, etc. Upon leaving that meeting, we both knew that we wanted to work with Mike and team. Included in our package was an engagement session - this was great to work with Mike so we could all get to know each other before the big day. Mike really has an eye for capturing photos - including if it means he needs to lay on the ground to get the photo! Prior to our wedding, Mike and I chatted to discuss some of our must have photos. It was great the day of not needing to worry as I trusted that Mike (and his second photographer Nicole) would get the job done. He made us laugh throughout the day and was very attentive to make sure we were able to get all the photos we wanted. Not only did he capture great photos of us, but made sure that we had some great photos of our guests to remember the day by.

We had a phenomenal experience working with CT Photo Group. We met with many photographers before Mike, but each photographer was lacking in one area or another. Mike and his team checked all of the boxes for us. We really liked the style of his phots and found him to be very personable. We wanted to be sure we would be comfortable with our photographer, and Mike and his team were pleasant to work with. Our experience with CT Photo Group went beyond our expectations. Mike was great during our initial engagement shoot. We instantly felt comfortable with him and enjoyed the photo shoot at Silver Sands and the Duck Pond. The pictures were beautiful – and it was a great way to get to know Mike! We were fortunate to work with Mike and Gabby for our wedding day. They went above and beyond throughout the day. Their attention to detail was evident in the photos they took. Over 1,200 of them that utilized the grounds of our venue (The Waterview) perfectly! Narrowing down our favorite photos has been a challenge because we like so many of them. We cannot recommend CT Photo Group more highly! If you are looking for someone that can read your mind, take charge of the party and keep everything flowing seamlessly -- Gabby is your girl! She came in to my wedding day knowing my concerns and handled them like a champ. She took the most stunning pictures in the most time efficient manner, especially since we were all freezing outside! She had the best ideas for night photos, venue photos and group photos! I will be using her for every holiday and event that needs pictures. I could not have asked for a better photographer - you really captured all the special moments and we cannot say thank you enough!!!!

Where to even start! Mike and Gabby are fantastic! From setting up an initial meeting to the day of, they were great. Mike was accommodating with helping us find a good spot for our engagement photos and he did not steer us wrong! He kept in touch throughout the planning process and made sure we got all the shots that we were looking for day of. We didn't meet Gabby until day of, but everything was so seamless that it felt like we had known them both from the beginning. They were both great at remembering everyone's names and making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable (especially me and my husband since we never get our photos taken!). We got our teaser photos in about a week and to say I am obsessed with them is an understatement! They are phenomenal and I can't wait to see the rest of them! Where do I even begin?! Mike and Gabby are INCREDIBLE!! They make such an amazing team, and we absolutely adored working with them! From our 'get ready shots' to the end of our reception at The Candlewood Inn, Mike and Gabby were extremely professional, accommodating, and SO MUCH FUN to work with!! They don't make you feel awkward at all during photos. When we first met with Mike, we knew we wanted to book with him right away. He is genuine, reasonably priced, and understood our needs for the day of the wedding. He was very responsive the entire journey. When the big day finally arrived, Mike went with the Groom and Groomsmen, and Gabby came with me and my bridesmaids. We immediately clicked, which made the experience that much better. At the end of the night, Gabby told me to expect some 'wedding teasers' within 1 week... and 5 days later, we received an email with the teasers while on our honeymoon! We were absolutely blown away with the quality and quantity of photos we actually got! *Shout out to Gabby for all the veil shots* 100% RECOMMEND!!!

I wish I could make this a 20/5 star review, that is how happy we were! We first met Gabby and Marcia during our engagement photo session. Gabby's energy is palpable! She will do anything to get shot and we got some incredible ones! We were so excited to have them both back on the wedding day and they were incredible. Our families and bridal party also could not stop talking about how amazing they both were! Gabby even helped me steam my skirt before we walked out. The photos they both got were absolutely perfect, their excitement will keep you smiling all night. They are so hard working and creative, I promise all the photos will be amazing! I wish I could put more eloquently in to words how absolutely amazing they were but the absolute best!

CT Photo Group was fantastic to work with for the entire process! Both Mike and Gabby were very responsive and flexible. Gabby was our on-site photographer and she was incredible! Everything we wanted in a wedding photographer. She was fun to work with and also quick with photos while capturing everything we wanted - which left more time for fun with our guests! One consecutive compliment my wife and I keep getting about our wedding was our photographer! Mike and his team went above and beyond for us. All of our guests and other vendors loved him. They made things light and easy and fun. Everyone loved how prepared they were and knew everyone's names asking for everyone by name and even learning and remembering family members names. It was a very personal touch we highly recommend CT photo group!

Mike and Gabby were amazing to work with. They're incredibly talented, fun to be around and help strike a perfect balance between taking control and moving everything along if you want them to or just letting you set the pace and dictate everything on your special day. You're going to spend a LOT of time with your photographers, especially if you do a first look so you really want them to be easy-going, fun people and they absolutely are. Most importantly though, the photos are fantastic. They're really great at what they do and we ended up with about 900 incredible photos. They also delivered a small handful of some of the best photos within a day or two of the wedding which was great. Don't even hesitate to book these guys. There's a reason that every review on here is great. Hire them right now and give yourself one less thing to worry about. They're the best.

I've only got incredible things to say about Mike and Gabby!! my husband and i had an engagement shoot with Mike so we could get comfortable having our photos taken & oh my gosh, the photos turned out fantastic (and suped quick. I think I had them within a few weeks). we both felt incredibly comfortable with him and his co worker Gabby too. they were super professional, very funny & had some of the best ideas for pictures I never would have thought of (like adorable shoe pics & a great shot of my parents having a first look). I can't recommend either enough. our teaser photos came in (again, super quickly) and I teared up because of how beautiful they were. the way they both captured our big day is more than I could have wished for:)

Mike and Gabby were so fun and professional to work with! Even with a snow storm, they made the best of our day and got us some amazing shots. They made sure we kept to our schedule, and we’re well organized and on top of it. I would definitely hire them again down the road for other photography!!

We worked with Mike and Gabby for our 11/6/21 wedding day. Gabby spent the first part of the day with the bridal party and Mike spent the first part of the day with the groomsmen. Highly recommend! Mike and Gabby were amazing. Their creative ideas for photos really brought out our shy personalities. They worked well together and were very professional the whole night. Our guests loved the fun photo experience instead of wondering "How much longer?" We have already gotten a few proofs back (a day after the wedding! So fast!) and they are gorgeous.

I cannot say enough good things about them. They were professional, flexible, and had great knowledge about weddings and photography. I had issues with my bustle and my husband had issues with his boutonniere which Mike was able to help both. There was some family drama unfortunately, but Mike remained professional and got all our photos done without adding any stress to us. They go above and beyond! CT Photo group did an AMAZING job at my wedding June 2021. Mike and Gabby were such a pleasure to work with and put up with all of my husband & his groomsmen's craziness. They were genuinely excited about the shots they were taking, and their enthusiasm was contagious. And, I have to say, the results were GORGEOUS. They know exactly how to capture all the moments of your day beautifully. Photos came back quickly -- within 3 weeks -- and we had teasers just a week after the wedding! I loved that the package included a free album for my husband & I, and it was extremely high-quality and professional. Mike was also very helpful in answering all of my questions on what sizes to order for different prints. We also used a videographer from them and that came out great as well!! I’ve known Mike Evans, owner of CT Photo Group since back to bridal expos of 2014! He was originally hired to work my 2015 wedding that I chose not to go through with. He was very understanding and we kept a business relationship in case I was to get engaged again. When I did, he was over the moon to hear from me. I introduced him to my now husband Allan, and we knew this time we had a winner. When COVID happened, Mike and his company did everything in their power to stick with us while we waited for the world to get better. In the meantime, when my husband and I chose to have an elopement for just us, Mike had suggested Gabriel Marrero to shoot our special day. From the moment we were introduced to her energy, it made the tension of all chaos go away. Gabby was amazing with sunset photos at the state park we chose to elope at. Wonderful ideas and vision of how evenings photos should look! When things got better and we were back on track to have our original reception, Gabby and Mike were still with us the whole way. When we finally had our Happily Ever After party, Gabby even got into the Disney fun by dressing up as Lilo and took some beautiful shots of us in our official wedding attire. CT Photo Group is at a lot of the state’s bridal expos, find them brides to be and book them!

Mike went above and beyond for our engagement pictures and wedding day. My husband and I can confidently say, stop researching a photographer and book with Mike. Our wedding day ended up being pretty cold but that didn’t stop Mike from getting down on the frozen ground to capture the best shots. Let me first say that my now husband and I are not photo people. At all. We've been together for 4 years and have 4 photos of us together. Not anymore. Mike and Gabby did a fantastic job handling our stiff poses and reluctant smiles. We have loads of presentable (and even beautiful) photos of us now. It was a pleasure to work with them both- unobtrusive while also grabbing all of the important moments. Mike even got us to laugh.

We booked CT Photo Group a year and a half before our actual wedding. We met with Mike to decide if he was the right person to take our engagement and wedding photos. From the minute we met him, we instantly liked him. He made us feel very comfortable and showed us a variety of his work. His portfolio spoke for itself and we felt confident in our decision to go with CT Photo Group. Once we booked him, we waited about 6 months until our engagement photos. He accommodated us by taking us to two separate locations we wanted. The pictures came out beautiful. He is amazing at lighting (and back lighting) his subjects. We were beyond happy with our engagement photos, not to mention the quick turn around in getting them back to us. Fast forward 12 months to our wedding. We had the pleasure of having Mike and Gabby for photography, and Garrett for videography. The three of them fit in so well into the evening. At times we even forgot they were there because they are so talented at blending in and allowing you to experience the day for all it’s worth. Once we got our stunning wedding photos back, we were shocked to see that they got so many candid’s and angles. We felt comfortable while they were posing us for the formal pictures. They are literally the three nicest people and their personalities make you feel like you’ve known them forever. On the same note, they also went beyond and above what you would expect your photographers to do. It was extremely cold and windy on our wedding day. In addition, I was pretty sick. The three of them did their best to keep us warm (wrapping us in blankets between shots) and escorting us inside to get warm before we came back out for more photos. Gabby was especially kind to me, handing me tissues throughout my whole first look, because I was not feeling my best! Despite how lousy I felt, the pictures do not show that at all! They made me look like a superstar, even though I was not feeling it. I could not have asked for a better photography/videography team. They are patient and accommodating. They understand the importance of the day and are 100% reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you Mike, Gabby, and Garrett for everything you guys did for us. We had our wedding this past weekend, and I can honestly say I am so thankful for Mike and Garrett for being there! From the minute I sat down with Mike I felt comfortable and I knew he would be an amazing person to work with. Mike and Garrett were a blast! They know exactly how to get all the best angles, the perfect positioning, and the best colors to work with all pictures. And they seemed to have memorized my list of "must have" pictures with family and friends- which was so impressive to me because I didn't have to know ANYTHING other than where to stand. Not only this, but they even were willing to stay an extra few minutes over their time so they could grab a few extra important shots. These two were amazing to work with and I cannot recommend them enough!

Mike is a true professional. He did our engagement photo shoot and the pictures were breathtaking, and the turn around time was so fast. From the moment we hired Garrett as our photographer, we knew we made the right decision. He was always on point, always reachable, and treated us as if we were his favorite couple. Garrett noticed my nerves and calmed me down (as much as I possibly could calm down) before I walked down the aisle. A wedding is a big day - our biggest so far. We only wanted the best, and that's what we got. Garrett had my husband and I go outside during the sunset, and again when it was dark to take photos. Those were some of our favorites! Mike is an absolute gem! I LOVE photos! I treasure my photo albums and love to create memories with my family. To start Mike did an incredibly amazing engagement photo shoot for my husband and I. He took us to a park in Connecticut and immediately got a feel for us a couple. We had SOOO much fun! He was making my husband laugh and the pictures came out beautiful. I was afraid that the pictures would look to staged, but they came out natural and breath taking. I framed them for the wedding and placed them around the venue! Moving on to the wedding day, I cannot express my LOVE for the way that he captured every angle and every expression. It was a very emotional ceremony, and of course being the first to get married, the father and bride pictures were very emotional as well. Mike and his team caught every moment! The serious, emotional, funny, and sometimes crazy moments. Mike is so easy to work with, he even recommended our videographer who was equally as special to us. I was super impressed by both of their turn around times! I had the pictures faster than I could believe. Mike and his team were nothing short of delightful to work with! From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Mike bought right into our Star Wars theme and helped us think up creative and different photos we could get to incorporate our theme, without being tacky. They made all our guests feel welcomed on the wedding day and more importantly, were our companions when we wanted to take photos with people but continue to circulate throughout the room.

SO happy we chose CT Photo Group and Mike Evans to photograph our wedding! From the first meeting we had, we knew Mike would be perfect for the style of wedding we wanted... relaxed, flexible, fun, and willing to work with our ideas. The morning of the wedding, Mike was at the venue before us, getting organized and ready so that when we arrived, he was ready to go! Pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception shots were amazing and Mike and his assistant were on point the whole time. Our families were amazing at how Mike remembered everyone's names right away, and how inconspicuous he was throughout the whole event. Never did we feel that the photos interrupted moments, yet looking back at the pictures, all of the moments we were hoping to see were captured perfectly! Highly, highly recommend CT Photo Group!

We were thrilled with our experience working with CT Photogroup for our wedding, from prep through the final album. Matt and Garrett were our photographers, and they were fantastic. Matt guided us smoothly through photo planning, and he and Garrett were wonderful the day of. They took fabulous formal and candid photos, really capturing our friends and family. They were also a joy to work with on the day of-- fun, easy, and seemingly everywhere at once without ever being in the way. They also solved all sorts of odd problems, from Garrett smoothing out our rolled ketubah to Matt finding just the right spot to get an overhead view requested by the mother of the groom. Highly recommended.

The moment we met Garrett, we knew he was the perfect lead photographer for our special day. He was a combination of laid-back and professional that made it easy to work with. Garrett helped us tailor our team to our needs - which ended up including 2nd photographer (Catherine) and videographer (Dave). Despite the long day, Garrett arrived bright and early in a good mood and kept it up taking nearly 2000 photos between candid and posed! Besides being complete professionals and keeping on track of the day's schedule, everyone was extremely friendly and nice throughout the process from the initial planning meetings all the way through coordinating receipt of images and video after the wedding. The best part is we received everything back from the video to the photos in less than a month! We couldn't have asked for a better team to have captured our day and I would highly recommend CT Photo Group to every couple getting married in the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Mike and would recommend him to anyone in the area getting married! He was very professional and just a great guy. The turnaround on our photos was amazing as well - we were still on our honeymoon when our gallery was available to view! Mike was able to capture many beautiful and creative shots while also taking all of the group shots that were super important to me. My husband and I got married at the Candlewood Inn 10/6/2018. Mike and Matt were the ultimate tag team of photographers. They were able to divide and conquer and get the pre-ceremony shots of the ladies and the guys. They were able to get our First Look photos without a hitch! They just made us feel comfortable during some of the most nerve-wrecking hours leading up to the ceremony. Mike and Matt were such professionals - we would never regret the decision in booking them! My now husband and I had a destination wedding and we booked CT Photo Group for a more unconventional wedding "send-off reception" with family in friends in CT before we left. We are so happy we had Garrett Uhde to capture our party! He went ABOVE & BEYOND to capture the essence of what our send-off reception was about. Not only was it a really hot day, but we also had thunderstorms. When the rain let down to just a light sprinkle in the evening, Garrett had the best idea to grab an umbrella and captured the most beautiful photo of my husband and I outside under the rain drops. He didn't miss a beat. He really got to know us, and my family and friends to put everyone in the right poses and make everyone just have fun and be comfortable. What a wonderful experience! Mike Evans was patient, kind, professional, creative, and dedicated to capturing all of the special moments from our wedding; we couldn't be more pleased with how our photos turned out! We were supposed to take outdoor photos and have an outdoor ceremony, but needed to rearrange at the last minute due to rain. Mike talked with us through some indoor options and was very flexible and helpful in organizing new plans to take our photos. Everything turned out perfectly! Would highly recommend!

My wedding day was the best day of my life for many reasons and I have Mike and his team to thank for being such a big part. Mike and his team made my day amazing by making sure my veil was placed properly, my dress was falling just right, making sure they got every “money shot” I requested, and making my husband feel more than comfortable with his groomsmen in front of the camera. I am more than happy and pleased with my wedding photos. I have received many comments saying that they should be in a bridal magazine. I look at my pictures and remember every detail of that day because it was captured so perfectly. I would get married again and again for these pictures to be done over and over again.
