JJ and her whole team were incredible to work with for our unconventional wedding party. From the outset it was clear how important it was to her to understand what we wanted and t...
he vibe we were going for, and she drew on her expertise in food and entertainment to help us bring it to the next level! So many helpful ideas and options without ever being pushy in the slightest.
Every part of the process was met with great care and flexibility. From early planning to coordination day-of, it felt like we completely avoided the stress typically associated with a several-hour, eighty person event like this. That genuine spirit and passion for food really extended to her entire team, who were uniformly wonderful to work with during all portions of the event. If you're looking for delicious food and a nimble team with a solid ethos, look no further
We have only the most positive things to say about JJ and her team! They were extremely professional throughout the planning phase and the day-of, while also being so calm, warm, a...
nd friendly to communicate with. JJ is clearly extremely passionate about her craft and proposed a creative menu that featured local ingredients and had plenty of options for our guests with dietary restrictions. Each dish that JJ came up with was deliciously prepared, perfectly fresh, and arrived piping hot. The food was also very generously portioned for our buffet style wedding meal. Over the course of the evening our guests raved about each of the dishes. In the days that followed, we continued to hear from friends about how much they loved the lamb, lasagna, etc., even while we were still enjoying the leftovers!
JJ and her team went above and beyond in preparing food for our special day and for this we are extremely grateful. We would recommend JJ and her team to anyone without hesitation.

en come with ways to deliver on that which are creative and sustainable. And the results are delicious. Set up and take down impeccably done and staff always polite, interesting and interested. It feels as if they are an extension of family. I love being able to support a local business to boot. I look forward to returning to cuisine locale again the next time I need what they can deliver
JJ and the team at Cuisine en Locale were a pleasure throughout the whole process. They supplied a varied, fresh, and flavorful buffet for our reception. They worked creatively to ...
meet our budget and the restrictions of our location, easily accommodated a range of dietary restrictions, and even gave advice on other local vendors and the licensing process. During the event, they were incredibly helpful, ensuring that the presentation was professional, empty plates were cleared, and food stations were replenished as needed. Best of all, they were calm, friendly, and fun to work with.

We used Cuisine en Locale to cater our totally-in-the-middle-of-nowhere wedding in Maine; we only had 30 guests staying with us for a weekend and were finding the costs of getting ...
a local caterer (of which there were no real options anyway) to come on location and make dinner to be not appropriate to the smaller scale of our event. We live in Somerville and had used Cuisine en Locale many times for small family dinners, so we reached out to JJ to see if we could create a menu that could be picked up frozen and cooked onsite by friends. She was super flexible and happy to accommodate our request -- and we even had gluten-intolerant and lactose-intolerant people in our small group, so the whole menu was planned to be safe for all to eat. It was DELICIOUS, fun to have our own friends be the "cooking crew", the menu was creative and seasonal (none of this wedding stuffed chicken and soggy vegetables), and even more economical than we'd budgeted for. Honestly one of the easiest, no-brainer decisions we made about the wedding.
I've attended many events at Cuisine en Locale - from rock shows to holiday meals to drop-in taco nights to the Rock'n'Roll Rumble. Their staff - from door to bar to kitchen to sou...
nd to management - has always been exemplary, and their food thoughtfully conceived and beautifully presented.
My husband and I just had our belated DIY wedding reception there, after a delay related to a serious illness in my family. The staff of Cuisine en Locale made our special night incredibly easy to plan, organize, and execute. To make a wedding reception feel effortless - especially one delayed due to family health issues - this takes magical powers, and that's what Cuisine en Locale brought to our day.
Zero stress, tons of tacos, great sound (my band with my husband performed, as did other friends) - and both JJ & Sean went far above and beyond for us, for which we're truly grateful. The whole staff worked with us to make our wedding reception exactly what we wanted: warm, loving, delicious, danceable, and a little quirky.
Cuisine en Locale are a creative and supportive team who treat one another like family - a family we were so happy to be part of for the evening.
My husband and I would strongly recommend this venue to anyone planning a special event!
