We had a range of must-play genres and styles (tejano, 80s, country, and contemporary) and he was able to seamlessly mix those throughout the night. He did a wonderful job with our ceremony music and the timing of the songs and transitions. Another thing that I loved was his ability to host as well! For example, during the toasts, he announced my maid of honor, the best man, and my dad in a fun way to get everyone hyped up and excited. That small touch along with his overall enthusiasm throughout the night was the cherry on top. Even during the reception, he was dancing and jamming with us, and just had the best energy. He had everyone on the dance floor all night, and when things slowed down, he was awesome at reading the room and adapting the songs. We had SO MUCH FUN and so did all of our guests. Everyone kept raving about how amazing the DJ was and how much fun we all had on the dance floor. If you are looking for someone to actually DJ your wedding (not just press play on songs), he will deliver; he played several mashups of fun songs that the crowd loved. Our wedding would not have been as fun and memorable without him, so if that is what you are looking for, pick Mathias. We are so glad we did!

Mathias isn't a DJ that just plays songs, he was constantly doing creative mixes (Unwritten / Turn Down For What was particularly fun) that will keep the dance floor alive all night. In fact, he did too good of a job and our dance floor emptied out early because everyone was overheating. Unphased, he slowed it down and modified his setup on the fly, allowing us to spill outside and add some needed airflow, then ramped the energy back up and the night kept going like nothing happened. Aside from his excellent DJ skills, his setup was fantastic and he did a great job running through all the other elements of the wedding (ceremony / speeches / general flow, etc.). Reasonable rates are the icing on top and all-in-all I would wholeheartedly recommend Mathias to anyone who asked.

We had all sorts of music (from the ying yang twins to paramore) and somehow he made it work. It was the best night of our lives thanks to Mathias!

t the evening's soundtrack I mean...probably as annoying as you can get (sorry Mathias!!). But we had absolutely no reason to worry! Mathias took everything we said — all our obsessively curated playlists of song ideas — and knocked the ball out of the damn park (I'm confident that if yours is a more hands-off approach, he'd handle it just as well). Neither us nor our friends left the dance floor for a blissful few hours; they were all losing their minds about how awesome the music was, and we were too (one threatened to fly him to New York to DJ his baby's first birthday). Beyond the dancing portion of the evening, Mathias did everything in his power to make the ceremony, cocktail party, dinner and toasts run seamlessly. We couldn't have done it without him, and I can't imagine the party being as fabulous with anyone else on the 1s and 2s. Hire Mathias, and know that you'll have the night of your life (and the best wedding DJ of all your friends)!

I could not have had a better time with him. My venue group also recommended him because they know he is good at his job and does not need guidence or babysitting from them. I gave him my schedule and what I wanted and he made it better than I could have imagined. I know I had some weird taste in music but that did not stop him from helping put on a spectacular event. If you ever need a DJ, Mathias is hands down the best.
