My daughter was married at Currahee Club in Toccoa, Georgia, on April 11, 2026. When we asked the newlyweds about their wedding day, they both said, “The absolute perfect day! There was not one single thing they would change.” They truly had the wedding of their dreams. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Hartwell, the North Georgia mountains, and the beautifully maintained golf course. The scenery is absolutely stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. Every picture captured the beauty of the property and the magic of the day. The entire wedding weekend was flawless, and a huge part of that was thanks to Liz, the event coordinator. She was exceptional from start to finish, guiding us through every detail of the planning process and ensuring everything came together seamlessly. Liz coordinated every aspect of the wedding weekend, including the ceremony and reception setup, guest accommodations, flowers, décor, photographer, DJ, cake delivery, photo station, food and beverage selections, rehearsal dinner, and even Sunday morning breakfast. What stood out most was her willingness to go above and beyond to make our daughter’s fairy-tale wedding a reality. She even arranged to have the ceremony flowers moved from the outdoor ceremony site to the reception venue—a task that required significant effort and coordination. Her attention to detail, organization, and dedication made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable for our family. Every guest raved about the delicious menu from appetizers, salad, and meal prepared by a wonderful chef and staff. The choices in menu items were amazing. The only hard part was narrowing down which menu items to chose as all of outstanding culinary options. What stood out the most, though, was how accommodating everyone was, especially our wedding director Liz, throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question, wanted to adjust plans, or had a special request, the team was incredibly responsive and willing to help make it happen. They genuinely wanted our day to be exactly what we envisioned, and we never felt like "just another wedding." The flexibility they gave us made such a difference. Whether it was working with our timeline, coordinating with our vendors, or helping with little details we hadn't even thought of, they consistently went above and beyond. I am a trained wedding professional with AACWP and have executed over 50 weddings, ranging in size from 50 to 250 guests. Event planning is my specialty! Allow me to unload some stress by booking onsite lodging for your guests, transportation to/from airports, and arranging all of the meals for your wedding weekend. s, including the beautiful double stone fireplaces in the great room (where we had the dance floor). Liz was an all-around great communicator through every step of the wedding planning process. She worked with us for months to make the day exactly what we wanted including food, floor plan, and other accommodations. She stayed the entire day of our event and worked alongside our amazing wedding coordinator to make sure all plans were executed down to the last detail. A storm even knocked the power out for a few minutes during dinner and Liz and her team moved all of our outside dining to the inside space seamlessly. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive. We hosted about 185 people comfortably but would have been tight on space with more guests than that. Both the bridal party and groomsmen enjoyed the spacious locker rooms before the wedding. Currahee Club is an amazing venue and will always be special to us!

l the way from California, with guests traveling from California, New York City, and Alabama. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Lodging: Our guests absolutely loved their accommodations! Everyone commented on how beautiful and comfortable the lodging was. We stayed in the suites at the clubhouse, and they were stunning. Olivia Gunn and Liz went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from fire pits to fire pit kits, ensuring everyone felt at home. Wedding Day: Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful. The director and day-of coordinator, Liz Johnston, was phenomenal from the very first meeting. Despite the three-hour time difference, Liz always answered every call and email promptly. She helped us connect with vendors, met with us in person several times (even with our photographer and videographer), and even met some of our vendors ahead of time to make sure everything went smoothly. On the wedding day, Liz and our wedding party handled every detail flawlessly. I had zero worries. Liz continuously checked in on us in both the bridal and groom suites, and she made sure our marriage license was signed immediately after the ceremony. She truly went above and beyond, she made my dreams come true beyond what I ever imagined. The Venue: The view was absolutely breathtaking photos don’t do it justice. The entire venue is stunning, and the staff was so kind and professional. Our guests felt loved and respected by everyone they encountered. The Food & Drinks: Everything was delicious! Our guests are still talking about how good the food and drinks were a full month later, we’re still getting calls and compliments about how it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended. geous and spacious yet intimate wood and stone clubhouse and golf for my husband. Liz and the staff were efficient, dedicated and did everything to ensure the day ran as smoothly as possible. On our special day, no request was too great and all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The food was so wonderful we had trouble limiting our choices. Bar and wait staff were hospitable and professional. The space of the clubhouse allowed for plenty of room to dance and include tables or couches to include all family members in the fun. Many of our guests enjoyed the gorgeous views on the patio. Accommodations were offered and made for guests with limited mobility which was so helpful for our family. The priority availability to book Currahee owned lodgings was a lifesaver for us being from Ohio and our families being from all over. You can tell so much time is put in by the people at Currahee for every individual event they host and I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Johnston, the Wedding and Events Director, went above and beyond to understand our vision and made every step of the planning process feel effortless and enjoyable. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking — from the beautiful back lawn where our ceremony took place to the elegant reception space, every corner felt like it was made for our perfect day. Walking into the space on our wedding day, seeing everything come together exactly as we dreamed, was truly magical. All of the food for the wedding is made by the in house chef/culinary team with so many amazing options to choose from. I still have guests tell me how our wedding food was the best they have ever had. We also chose to use Chef Maddie at Currahee Club to make our 3-tier wedding cake which was more perfect than I ever could have imagined. What meant the most to us was the genuine kindness and care of the entire team. Liz helped me brainstorm details, answer all of my questions, create the day of timeline, and carried out every single detail flawlessly the day of the wedding. is top tier. Cody helped with our rooms and even spent time to deliver welcome bags to each of the rooms and houses prior to guests arrivals. Liz Johnston, the wedding coordinator, made sure everything from the beginning of planning to the end of the wedding went smoothly. She gave us excellent guidance throughout the process, but made sure we made all the final decisions. On our wedding day, she made sure everything went according to plan/timeline and even made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal, which most couples will tell you they never get a chance to eat at their own wedding! edding photographs with these gorgeous backdrops! The wedding was absolutely perfect! Liz, the event coordinator was amazing! She helped us through the entire process, from beginning to end, coordinating ceremony location, reception set up and accommodations. She organized flowers, decorations, photographer, DJ, cake delivery and candy bar set up, photo station (including moving the ceremony flower arch from the outside ceremony to the porch for the photo station, not a small task), food and bar menus, rehearsal dinner and Sunday morning breakfast! She made our vision come to life and when I asked my daughter and my new son in law if it was everything they dreamed it would be, they said, “Everything and so much more!”. Our guests loved the onsite accommodations for the weekend getaway! They have suites, cottages, homes and a cute little inn for out of town guests! rea. From the very first phone call, the staff was helpful, responsive, and quick to serve. Liz is the Wedding and Events Director and she was indispensable in making our reception a dream come true! She accommodated even the nitpicky requests only a perfectionist like myself could ask for. Her staff on the day kept everyone well taken care of and they genuinely cared if we were happy with everything. They were the best team a bride could ask for! Oh and don't get me started on the Chef! Liz took all of our requests and suggested things in our price range and Chef Maddie made it happen. I can't say enough good things about the club staff but on top of all that the view is TO DIE FOR! Liz even got us golf carts to take us to Hole 10 for an epic sunset photo... Do you need more? Let me tell you, I usually judge a place by their bathrooms and they are spotless!

The housing options and amenities our guests had access to helped make their weekend feel like a mini vacation for all. Our guests both local and out of towners continue to tell us how perfect the weekend was and how it was their most favorite wedding they have ever been to. Liz made sure every detail was perfect leading up to our wedding day and on our wedding day. Through the entire process Liz gave us guidance and support, we always felt like we were in good hands and everything would fall into place. And it did! Currahee recommended several local vendors that all played a role in making our special day perfect. We ended up selecting the Italian dinner and it was absolutely to die for. lan my special day! Beth listened and added opinions and shared local vendor information. Because of that, my wedding was absolutely beautiful! My guests stayed on the property in the beautiful condos and rooms below the clubhouse. Everyone enjoyed the weekend get away. The food was delicious! My guests continue to tell me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! The staff were all kind and friendly to make sure everyone had what they needed and was having a good time. Currahee's views speak for themselves and the building is beautiful as well, but nothing completes a venue like the staff! If you want to be treated like royalty by a professional staff that has pride in what they do, choose Currahee. The club already had a special place in our hearts and that's why we chose to get married there but now the memories of our wedding day surpass our prior thoughts of the club because the people just know what they are doing and make sure everything is top notch. I am forever grateful that I got married at Currahee Club.
