Curtis Whipple

The mark of a good DJ is somebody who keeps everybody on the dance floor the whole evening, and Curtis definitely accomplished that! We knew after one meeting that he was the man for the job because of his passion for his craft. And that same lively energy he had in that meeting is what he brought to our reception as well, even pulling out some rock and roll moves when the occasion called for it (without being over the top). We also had very specific requests for our bridal party introduction that he had no problem accommodating, which gave us those extra special and personal moments that were so important. While there were a few song choices where I could have suggested another one by the same artist, it’s hard to argue with the results. We highly recommend Curts for your wedding needs!

Curtis goes above and beyond for his events. He came to the rehearsal, took time to learn the correct pronunciation of names, played the piano during cocktail hour, and even provided lawn games!

After interviewing many DJs in the valley we found Curtis and after hearing how passionate he is about music and the attitude and environment of a party you will choose him also. Curtis seems obsessed with the flow of the event and dedicated to choosing the right music for our event. He gave us as much control over the music selection as we wanted; we chose all of the music for the ceremony and gave him ideas of dance music we like for the reception and he nailed it. He kept our guests on the floor for the entire night, including my wife and I. We had the best dance party because of Curtis’ talent and passion for music and entertainment. We also had Curtis play live piano music during the cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception and, although I didn’t hear because we were doing photos, my family raved about how the music really set the tone and elegance for the night. Curtis’ up-lighting and dance lighting are great. He even had a projector and screen to display a slideshow of my wife and I during dinner. The only disappointment we had was we were told we would have a GOBO light with our name on the dance floor, but never did. I think he might have just forgot and with how flawlessly he performed everything else, it would have been a nice touch but it wasn’t that big of a deal in the scheme of things. All-in-all we are extremely pleased with Curtis’ performance. If there’s one place to spend some money that will create memories for your event, the DJ is it, and Curtis will deliver a lifetime of memories.

Wow, Curtis went above and beyond to make our wedding special! He is so much more than a DJ, he is an awesome musician and a crowd pleaser! He played live music for our cocktail hour, which added a nice touch for our guests. I absolutely LOVED when he busted out onto the dance floor with his guitar and started playing along with songs at the reception! He is definitely who you want to help keep your party going with high energy! He is also so well-spoken and sincere, really commands your attention. Totally great for when it's time for speeches and special dances to focus all the guests towards the action. Totally love him!
