We were able to do 100 cupcakes in five different flavors (peanut butter cup, salted caramel, mint chocolate chip, wild strawberry, and red velvet) as well as a small cutting cake, and they were super flexible with us changing up small details and flavor combinations. The final product was even more beautiful and yummy than we could have imagined and delivery and setup was seamless. Our guests raved about all the flavors and we were lucky to have a couple extra to enjoy post wedding. The cutting cake was divine and we look forward to having more in a year!! we wanted to taste multiple flavors multiple times. My husband ended up dropping off flowers and the topper for the cake (with artistic liberty for the flowers) for them to put on and they did a fantastic job! Everyone raved about the cake flavors and couldn't stop taking photos and telling us how beautiful it was. All 3 tiers were moist and delicious! The only negative for us was we weren't super impressed with any of their icing choices and definitely weren't about to pay extra for icing we didn't love, so we went with the basic buttercream and we had mixed reviews about that at the wedding. It tasted very greasy to us and we ended up scraping it off our pieces, which was minor in the grand scheme of things!

My in-laws, hubby-to-be and I, spent a happy hour or so looking at cake designs and tasting about 13 different flavours! We were never rushed and enjoyed peacefully chomping away as happy customers came in and out of the store and picked up the most beautiful cakes. I was able to leave a swatch of the purple I wanted the sugar flowers for my cake to be and they were done beautifully. It was a tough decision but we ended up going for chocoloate raspberry with chocolate mousse filling which was delicious!

ng, we got to try over 10 different flavors of cake, each different and delicious - even flavors I didn't expect to like were delectable. We ended up going with a 3-tier cake along with a sheet cake for about 170 people. We chose the marbled chocolate and vanilla, raspberry chocolate and vanilla cakes. All of our guests raved about the cake. It was so fresh, moist and absolutely delicious. They were definitely reasonably priced for the quality and amount of cake we ordered and I would definitely recommend them for anyone's cake needs in the DMV.

e wedding cake was the most delicious almond dessert you could ever imagine and the groom's cake was a replica of my groom's favorite Colombian snack cake (like a Twinkie). Raquel is so immensely talented! We received so many rave reviews from our guests. Our cakes turned out exactly how we wanted and were beautiful! Our consultation before the wedding was also easy to schedule and the tasting of the cakes was helpful! The cake they made for us to take home was also so beautiful and best part is we don't have to freeze it and eat it in a year because we can get a new one made just like it for free! I am so happy we used Custom Cake Design and would highly recommend them!

But they were very professional and there were no issues working with them during the whole process, and the price was right! I would use Custom Cake Designs again.

onally picky yet not exactly a cake expert so I can tell you what I don't like but maybe not exactly what I do. The owner was able to ask me some very pointed questions, send me pictures to say "yes" or "no" for specific elements. She ended up creating exactly what I wanted. Her experience in the industry is evident. More than that, she gave me an amazing price. It was the ONE thing in my wedding that came in under budget. The taste was great (Almond was exactly what I had in mind). The only frustration in the whole process was when I attended the open house. Expect that you will have to wait a while for a consultation and that the queue isn't precisely managed. I was more sensitive to that because I had flown from out of town for it. However, when I spoke up everyone quickly accommodated me. The owner was a pleasure to work with. I even saw her slip out after delivering my cake and she happily smiled and waved with her delivery guy (who I assume is her husband?). I could not have had a better experience!

n Custom Cake Design. When I walked in I met the owner (lady who was in charged-feel terrible that I dont remember her name) she showed me pictures and display cakes, then provided me with samples. With only 30-45 days before the wedding -I wanted to be as simple as possible. So I choose quickly without trying to overthink it. Top tier- white raspberry, middle tier- carmel, bottom tier -white raspberry with raspberry filling. I had never tried these flavors before but it won over my orinigal thoughts of (lemon cake, carrort cake, or vanilla). The white raspberry-lets just say you have to try it to understand why its their signature cake. And the carmel was basically a vanilla cake but a little sweeter. When she came to deliver the cake on the day of the wedding she arrive on time- I mean early which is always a plus when you know things are in order before they start. And the cake looked absolutely beautiful (I was told it smelled good too). When it came to taste everyone raved about this cake 2 weeks after it was gone. Best wedding cake I've ever had- and when they say people will remember the cake its the truth. Can't wait until our anniversary to have another slice. Only thing I would suggest is that maybe they offer an anniversary cake instead of couples having to freeze it- I know its tradition but I'm a little unsure about eating year old cake. Roughly $530 but you have to pay for delivery - still a really good price.

decorated the cake with my flowers. I wanted roses on the top and going down the side. They did the top, but used baby’s breathe down the sides. Not what I was hoping for but that’s okay. I really recommend them and thank them for the delicious cake.
