We ended up doing two flavors for the cake - one for the tiered display cake and one for the sheet cake. Both were absolutely delicious and the quality of the cake was incredible! We both loved the flavor combos that what we picked. Additionally, our tiered cake looked so beautiful with the flowers Ann Marie decorated with. She was able to match the flowers with the rest of the wedding decor - it fit the venue and theme perfectly. She followed the inspirational photos for the design that we shared and nailed it! We definitely recommend Ann Marie for any other couple searching for a great wedding cake!

dual cake/ flavor combo. We did a lemon cake with raspberry buttercream tier, a white almond cake with almond buttercream tier, and a vanilla cake with banana cream buttercream filling. They were all 10/10!! My personal favorite was the almond—but I’m sure any flavor combo she creates you’d love! We received SO many compliments on the cake and how it was the best that some have ever had at a wedding!

t it was the best cake they’ve ever had, too. After consulting with Ann Marie, we chose a white cake with vanilla buttercream and blackberry mousse for the guests and the same plus a layer of almond cream for a smaller cutting cake. Clearly a planning pro, Ann Marie even came up with a backup plan in case blackberries weren’t available. By the time we took our last bite we were already trying to come up an excuse to order again. We can only give her the highest of recommendations and hope that after reading this you will trust her to make your cake – you won’t be disappointed. Will update with photos once we have them.

e of, was truly the best cake I’ve ever eaten, and a number of guests actually found me to say the same thing. It was full of flavor, and not too sweet. The fillings were the most delicious I've ever had. I’ve never heard guests rave about the cake so much. I’ve been baking from scratch my whole life, and I couldn’t ever come close to what Ann Marie created. I don’t know where you learned to bake like that, but you’re a master! Ann Marie should be first on your list to bake your cake for any event. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for the cake and also for the long distance delivery up a crazy hill to the venue.

In the end, I asked Ann Marie to take my design concept and make it work without sourcing additional vendors (florist, etc.) - the result was a breathtaking and unique cake that matched my vision explicitly. The exterior of the cake was beautiful. And did it taste good? Absolutely - it was moist and delicious - 3 tiered with 3 different cake & frosting flavors. We received so many comments from our guests that it was the BEST cake they had ever tasted - let alone at a wedding. Most of my wedding guests were NYC based gastronomes - they have had their fair share of cakes! I highly recommend working with Ann Marie on any cake project - especially if you require a top notched design, equally delivered with a 5-star, scrumptious tasting cake. For those that want the finer details, see below. I found Ann Marie's name after searching for highly rated bakeries serving the Catskills region. Ann Marie is 5-star, highly recommended by previous clients. After some initial email exchange - I knew she was the right person for me. We discussed my design requirements to have an extremely elegant/posh, black (!) wedding cake featuring a waterfall of fresh, color palette specific, flowers to cascade down a tiered cake. I shared my initial brief with a few concept images. Ann Marie was responsive, working within my brief to pull images as well, distilling down to a final cohesive design direction to move forward with. We discussed logistics, to establish cake sizing and tiering req. to serve my 80-90 guests. She was always willing to offer her expertise, to ensure my expectations were met. She didn't take shortcuts or make assumptions that would save her time, but may impact the vision. She truly cares about helping you execute your vision. There were a few challenges in my design that Ann Marie tackled headon to get solutions: #1: I wanted fresh flowers on the cake, #2: our reception was held in a barn-style space w/ movable walls to showcase the Catskills mountains. The barn didn't have AC provisions and our wedding day was to be a record high of 90+. Challenge #1 - I wasn't outsourcing my flowers to a florist, so I didn't have leverage to add a small fresh flower scope to a larger order. The flowers also needed to be non-toxic & organic. After having no luck w/ several florists, or insanely high mark-ups, AND being limited to flowers in peak bloom midsummer, Ann Marie created an alt solution w/ silk flowers. Hesitant to use fake flowers, Ann Marie went to the store to create a mock-up and it was stunning. She sourced silks that matched my color palette - and also selected alt. options to consider if she found an opt that worked better once seen in 3D. She sent images to review and finalized the flower selections. Challenge #2: Ann Marie coordinated all scheduling logistics to beat the heat: cake was delivered on time, on it's stand for guest arrival, and looking fresh for the photography session that soon followed. She handled all the details flawlessly. I'll see if I can post a photo of my cake. For timing, my first dialogue w/ AM was in late April, w/ the wedding on 7/20.

(I hope my daughter shares some of the top tier when it comes out of the freezer next September!) Ann Marie was very easy to work with and amenable to making changes to flavors over the months leading up to the wedding. Early on she and I traded photos and drawings of cake designs, and she executed the vision perfectly. The cake was a gift to the bride and groom from me, and I was very happy with the process and outcome. Very reasonably priced, too!

hen our outdoor reception had to be moved to another location due to forecasted rain she was so accommodating and moved the delivery location without any additional fees. She came in and set up the cake rather quickly, taking particular care to make sure that our cake topper would be well supported and not sink into the cake. I will admit, was a little bit worried when first looking into using Ann Marie because she does not do cake tastings--but rest assured this should not worry you one bit! The many many reviews I read all raved about her cake and now that our wedding has past, I 100% support all of those opinions. Our cake was moist, flavorful, and so so delicious! We had four tiers (cake for approximately 102 guests), each a different flavor combination (marble with hazelnut buttercream filling, spice with cinnamon buttercream filling, vanilla with raspberry and white chocolate mousse filling, and red velvet with almond buttercream filling). By the end of our reception, there was only 1 piece of cake left (good thing we had pieces of each layer set aside for us so we could enjoy them after the reception!). Since the reception, I've had many guests contact me to say the cake was amazing!! Both my husband and I are so happy with the cake we received from Ann Marie. It was everything we wanted in our wedding cake--gorgeous, tasty, and completely eaten by the end of the reception! I would certainly recommend you work with Ann Marie for your big day--I know we will be contacting her again in the future to celebrate other life events with another of her delicious cakes.
