Now, nearly a year later I find myself as an officiant of a ceremony for dearly beloved friends...who are also difficult to buy a wedding present for. The idea of a custom poem fits them perfectly. Using only the information I could provide (either from my knowledge of the two, or sneakily garnered from conversations with them), Marty was able to provide a piece so perfectly suited to the couple that you would think he knew them himself!
The process is about as smooth as one could expect. Marty not only uses the information you provide, but then works with you through an editing process. He is open and willing to make changes based on your input...where appropriate. In instances where he does not accept your suggestions his reasoning (poetic and literal) is well thought and always with purpose.
This is a truly unique gift, created with the requisite love and talent befitting a poet.

t. While talking with him, it was easy to see that he cared about who we were and writing something unique for us. When I first mentioned the idea of a wedding poem to my wife, she had some misgivings about what a poem would really be like – thinking it might read like a slightly profane limerick. When I surprised her with the poem Marty wrote, she cried and said right away that she wanted it read at our wedding. It was a great addition to our service too. Marty gave all of our guests a better chance to see who we were and why loved each other so much . . . more than a few guests cried. After our wedding, we hung the poem on our wall. We smile every time we read it, thinking both about our wedding and how lucky we are to have found each other.
