rything. He worked great with our venue coordinators to work at a venue that they had never been to before. This is all great, but the really five star review comes from the reception. They were FANTASTIC and truly made the night special. At certain times, I forgot there was even live music because they sounded so good. The band read the room greatly, but also wasn't up in everyone's face about what they were playing. This resulted in the night going seamlessly from one song to the next. Everyone had so much fun dancing and singing. I think I saw every single person at the reception get up and dance at one point. At the end of the night they got everyone together in a circle for a final dance that was so special so it ended on a high noted. Oh also, my dad quite the father/daughter dance halfway through because he hurt his knee and the band handled it very gracefully! True professionals who I can't thank enough for making my wedding a night to remember for everyone who was there.

They were the absolute highlight of our wedding, people kept asking us how we found Jacob and his team and everyone had a blast. I'm sure they get tired of playing the same songs over and over, but for the guests, it is an absolute treat. My mother commented on how good they were at reading the room and playing songs to get folks on the dance floor. Seriously...don't fall for a boring DJ...hire these guys immediately.

sure of seeing the guys perform before the wedding but I felt very confident after talking to Jacob that I was in great hands. We had the pleasure of having Jeff, Jo, and JW play at our wedding from Cutting Edge. The guys were the first vendors to arrive the day of the wedding, they were very early and greeted me warmly. They got right to setting up the piano for the ceremony and the reception space. An added bonus, they started warming up with beautiful ballots in the ceremony space that was located directly below my dressing room. The music filled the air and set the scene for a beautiful day! The music calmed my nerves as I was getting ready, I don’t think they know how appreciative I was of this. The ceremony music was absolutely beautiful! They played my requested music and their timing was perfection! Directly after the ceremony the guys quickly went to the reception hall and started playing for the cocktail hour. I was outside taking pictures but could hear the lively music bursting out of the hall. I was dancing in between shots and was very jealous I wasn’t in there! Finally, we were able to join the party and they gave us the most incredible entry to my requested song, “Come and get your Love”! Done exactly as I had imagined! The guys MC’d the whole reception, keeping things timely, fun, and energetic. They played my list of requested songs and any songs my guests requested. They play all genres and pulled them off so smoothly, they are such entertainers! I even asked them if my brother in law could take over the piano for one song, at a moments notice, and they immediately introduced him and backed him up on the second piano and the drums. These guys are the real deal, I never worried about them, they are professional, FUN, flexible, and genuinely entertaining! They had my guests all dancing at a daytime wedding! I had guests the next day trying to find a dueling piano bar because we couldn’t get enough. These guys deserve so much credit. Thank you for making our wedding day so seamless, unique, and memorable, my guests and I will be humming your tunes in our heads for a long time.

in Baltimore during our last year of college. I just had to have this unique and fun addition to my dream wedding, and it was well worth it! I found them on GigSalad and the whole process was seamless. Jacob, the CEO of the company is easygoing and makes the process run so smoothly. He was by far my most responsive vendor - quick, professional, efficient, and flexible with changes. He never made me feel like I was bothering him, which no bride should ever feel about their vendors but unfortunately it happens. I appreciated being able to pay and sign contracts electronically, especially considering that I was planning an out-of-town wedding, mostly over the internet. Jacob took my many suggestions, including my request for lounge-type piano music DURING dinner and assured me that his team could do everything that I requested. Night of, our lead musician was Jeff, who was absolutely wonderful to work with and incredibly talented. He stopped into the bridal suite during cocktail hour, ran through everything quickly, and made sure to pronounce everyone’s names 100% correctly which I really appreciated. The MCing, announcements, and included DJ services (aside from the 3-hour live music set) provided were just the icing on the cake with this group. Sad to say I did not catch the name of the other pianist or the drummer, but we were busy singing and dancing! Friends of all ages stopped us to comment on the music, we were told it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to, and even a bartender at the venue complimented my choice saying that it was a great change of pace from all the DJs they get. This is not a complaint in the slightest as the musicians are worth the cost, but more of a heads up to event planners/future brides, Cutting Edge Dueling Pianos will run you slightly more than the average (experienced) wedding band in terms of cost. They may blow your budget out of the water if you’re only considering DJs currently. However, their prices are competitive to other dueling piano companies, especially if you are local to the Baltimore area since there won’t be travel fees involved. Dueling piano companies from other states were quoting me $1,500 more, up to nearly double the cost of Cutting Edge. Although Cutting Edge may be a higher-budget music choice, you can absolutely omit any other gimmicky addition to your wedding reception if you choose them. We skipped out on photo booths, table games, candy bars and all other “extra” activities and it was perfectly fine as we had the song requests and the engagement of live music. Cutting Edge kept our friends and families dancing until the very last song. We couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys!

g their punctual responses to emails / phone calls was very important to me. They showed up early on the day-of, had everything set up on time, and even set up an outdoor sound system for my ceremony music (my family performed, but they came through with a full sound system, keyboard, and speakers). My family isn’t really a DJ family, so I was looking for something more unique and personal. I listened to a few multiple-piece bands, but I couldn’t really tell them apart. Then I found Cutting Edge – they were exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciated that they were interactive and read the audience very well. They played piano renditions of whatever songs were requested, which made it even better. There were songs that I never would’ve thought could’ve been played on the piano – but they were awesome versions, even better than the original! They did a lot of fun dueling pianos-things, and even made my husband stand up and sing the chorus to “Let It Go” from Frozen, because one of the toasts mentioned that he knew the words to the song. They played and sang, then put him on the spot when the chorus came and just stopped singing. Everyone loved it! You could never do that with a DJ! I got so many compliments on their performance, and really, I can’t emphasize enough how different it was that even my aunts and uncles were out on the floor dancing. It was so unique and fun; I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who’s interested.

throughout our reception, everybody had such a great time!! We have gotten so many incredible compliments on their creativity, and the way the interacted with our guests. They accommodated everybody's requests, and all we keep hearing is, 'How did you find such a talented group to work with?! They were awesome!' We had a tough time making the decision between a dj and a live band, and the Cutting Edge crew blew us away. There really isn't anything they can't do! Easily the best decision we made for our special day!! They were wonderful to work with, and made the planning process so simple. Timely response to inquiries and any questions we had, attentive to detail, and so talented!! Thank you guys for making sure our guests had THEE best time celebrating with us, and for being so accommodating to every request and need!
