Cutting Edge Entertainment

My Wedding-planner referred cutting edge entertainment to me as she has worked with them with her prior brides n grooms. The Dj we used was Rich Abrams very nice but not interactive with guests at all but he did play all my song requests from my guests . They were very affordable!

Richie was great to work with. The uplighting looked fantastic, he got everyone going as he emceed the start of our reception, and then he created exactly the dance floor vibe we wanted for over 5 hours. He also did a great job conferring with our photographer and head waiter from the start of the event to coordinate the entire night seamlessly. That communication is huge!

Richie was responsive to all our questions leading up to the wedding. Everyone loved the music and stayed on the dance floor all night.

Steve was amazing!! We made a lot of last minute changes and he was so accommodating and patient with me! He was great with knowing the next song to play to keep people on the dance floor.

We got married Labor Day weekend this year. Richie and his team made the whole process so easy the day of I had no worries. Richie was great, all of my guests kept telling me afterwards that they loved all the music that was playing. We added on a photo booth about 2 months before the event and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend working with this team!!

DJ Jared Mitchell was incredible! He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding reception ran as smoothly as possible! He did an exceptional job as an emcee and the music choices were perfect! Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we are so grateful!

We got married 8/31/2024. We had an absolute blast!!!! Communication with this company was easy from the get go. Our DJ, Joe was great and took our prior conversations about the music choices and ran with it!!! So many compliments on the music!!! Especially through cocktail hour (which was non traditional— think buzz cuts mixed CDs) and the last hour or so! We loved him! & his assistant! All good things here. 🤘 Thank you!!!!! Richie was an absolute pleasure to work with! Our ceremony was in a garden and used a wireless microphone. Sound was clear and everyone could hear what was said. We gave him full reign over the reception music, and he nailed it. Highly recommend—he was fantastic from start to finish!"

You can stop searching for your wedding DJ as you just found him. Joe Duggan was top tier and went above and beyond. He is such a talented MC, and he listened to what we wanted for music and captured the vibe we were going for perfectly. The dance floor was packed the whole time, and the photobooth was also a blast. The photo booth attendant was such a fun person. The scrapbook from the photo booth is something really special that we'll cherish forever. The only issue was that people had to decide between the photo booth and the dance floor and couldn't be both places at once. Richie at Cutting Edge provided reasonable prices and great organization and communication. Go with Joe at Cutting Edge if you want to have a great party!!

Richie was just absolutely incredible! We made a playlist but after speaking with him prior to wedding we decided to let him take full control of it and let mr just say he did not disappoint. Every age group was on the dance floor all night long!! There was not one song people weren’t singing or dancing to! All my guest texted me saying how amazing the music was. This is your sign to hire him if you want everyone to have the best time ever!

If I had to pick my DJ all over again, it would still be Cutting Edge Entertainment. From the start, they were amazing to work with. Upon reaching out, I received a transparent response with pricing/packages within hours. We perused their website and each of the DJs had video bios that helped us choose the DJ right for us. All of the DJs seemed to come with amazing energy, but we went with DJ Richie. His title of Chief of Customer Happiness did not disappoint! Leading up to the wedding, he offered us the option to meet in person or on zoom. Upon meeting with us, he made us feel instantly comfortable. We already had a lot of ideas for what we wanted, but he had awesome suggestions in the areas we were stuck. On the night of, he was key to getting our party started. His MC personality was immaculate! He helped each member of the bridal party shine for their entrances. His timing for each song was perfect. During our speciality dances, he was really able to take cues as to when it was time to fade out. He played songs for everyone-- our guests of all ages were out on the dance floor the entire time. I couldn't recommend any other company higher than I recommend this one. DJ Richie was awesome. He came with attention to detail, entertainment, professionalism and FUN!

He was super easy to communicate with and took the time before the wedding to find out our taste in music and make sure we had a good mix of our favorite music and well as guests favorites. He played a great mix of songs that kept guests of all ages out and dancing at the reception. We had Richie DJ for our wedding this past weekend and the dance floor did not stop the entire night!!! He read the room and was amazing. We had the most perfect day and the music was the highlight of the night. We need another excuse to call him now so we will recommending him to all of our friends and family.. thank you Richie!

Richie and Cutting Edge Entertainment was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our wedding. During the planning and organization of everything from song choices, to entrances, Richie was communicative and quick to respond. He played a variety of songs for everyone to enjoy, while finishing the night with songs that the younger crowd could go hard to! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making our wedding day extra special!

Overall we were very happy with Cutting Edge Entertainment. They were professional and timely and organized. They assisted us with a mashup to make our reception entrance exactly what we hoped for. The only feedback I'd give is that my husband and I spent about 10 hours curating a special playlist and we would have liked to hear more of those specific songs throughout the night, especially on the dance floor. However, Cutting Edge still played some fan favorites and everyone danced all night long!

Richie, Josh, and the Cutting Edge team were great to work with for our October 2023 wedding. Richie and Josh were very helpful in finalizing our timeline and itinerary for our wedding and ensuring we had all aspects of the day that we wanted, how we wanted. They worked well with our wedding venue to ensure everything went smoothly. Josh was a great MC for our reception and the music was great. Josh asked us for a “must play” list and a general idea of what type of music we like and wanted for the reception, and did a great job of building off of that to fill all of the reception hours with music we liked and kept people on the dance floor!

Joe was the DJ for our wedding in December 2023 and he was the BEST. He was super friendly and easy to coordinate with. There were people on the dance floor the entire night and it was a blast. We definitely attribute this to how great of job Joe did, from the songs he played to how he engaged with everyone. Thank you!!

We worked with Richie and he was AMAZING! Every step of the way he helped us pick the perfect songs, allowed us to share a playlist, and gave excellent suggestions. So many guests raved about our music and the dance floor was filled the entire night. Cannot recommend this team enough!!

WOW! Richie was the absolute best. He was helpful during the organization process, deciding on what to add to our package to make the day perfect. He made sure to ask all the right questions and answer all of our questions to calm our anxieties. Richie was professional and kind. The ceremony music was perfect as well as the microphone set up. The reception was an absolute blast. He played all songs that we asked and played music for all guests to enjoy. After months, the wedding guests are still talking about how amazing the music and DJ were. We were all dancing the whole night away thanks to Richie and his playlist.

We are so glad that we booked Cutting Edge Entertainment and DJ Richie for our wedding! Richie was super professional throughout the planning process and completely understood and executed the vibe we were going for during our wedding ceremony and reception. When we met with Richie to plan our final details, he offered great suggestions for the layout of the event and timing for things like speeches, parent dances, opening the dance floor between meal courses to allow for as much dancing time as possible, etc. During the reception, Richie did such a great job of balancing our "must play" requests from our meetings prior to the wedding, guest requests, and supplementing with other amazing songs that kept the dance floor packed throughout the whole reception! Our guests are still raving about how great the music was, and we wish we could have a playlist of all the songs DJ Richie played- it was absolutely perfect!

Richie knows how to get guests dancing and keep them on the dance floor! We had a wedding of about 120 guests with ages ranging from 3 years old to 85 years old and the dance floor was packed. Before the wedding, we had a meeting with Richie to discuss the details and to select songs for parts like our entrance. Richie took very detailed notes and sent us his notes afterwards for us to review and make sure we were on the same page about everything! We had our wedding at Jasna Polana and Richie was so organized during the set up, lighting, and music selection. We had told him that we wanted to have more of a club-like vibe so people would dance and he found the perfect balance of music and lighting. He played an excellent variety of songs and was truly an expert to get the party started and keep the party going!

Cutting Edge Entertainment provided DJs for my daughter’s wedding. Tony was great. He provided exactly the style that my daughter and her husband wanted. The dance floor was always full. A great time for all. Richie was great at communicating with us and made things perfect for the reception. I highly recommend them.

Joe was the DJ for our wedding in Oct 2023 and he KILLED IT! When I tell you we’re still getting compliments about how great he was, it’s no joke. Not only have people told us how much they loved our DJ, but we’ve also been told many times that they had never been to a wedding where so many people were dancing! I give Joe all the credit!! His music got groups of all ages engaged and up on the dance floor! 10/10 recommend cutting edge and Joe!

We used Steve as our DJ from cutting edge entertainment for our wedding and he was truly awesome! We sent him playlist ideas before our wedding and he really understood the vibe we were going for and he executed that the day of!! Many of our friends and family warned that DJs never listen to what the bride/groom have said they wanted before, but that could not have been more false for Steve! All of our friends and family are still raving about what a great night it was and how great the music was!

Joe was the BEST!!! We’ve had so many of our guests say how much fun they had at our wedding and we highly attribute that to the songs Joe selected and the energy he brought. He was such a pleasure to work with from the very beginning, we are so grateful!!

Cannot say enough great things about my correspondence with Richie and working with our DJ Michael! Richie immediately responded to any questions I had, and I loved that he helped me choose the right package for our venue. From our very first phone call with Michael, he was personable and enthusiastic while welcoming all of our requests. He was open to all of our ideas and executed them perfectly. We had 15+ individuals being announced during our Wedding Party introductions, each with their own song of choice. I was worried that this might be too much to ask for, but as soon as I proposed this idea to Michael, he said "Let's do it." When our wedding day arrived, I felt like we already knew him and were familiar and comfortable with him. We loved his expertise and professionalism, and he truly made all of our wishes come true. We booked Cutting Edge Entertainment for our wedding and our DJ was Jared. Jared took time to get to know us as a couple leading up to the wedding and what types of music wanted for our big day, and really ran with that through the entire evening. His choice of music for our cocktail hour and dinner was perfect for our upscale venue. He also worked with us to ensure our must-plays were included for the reception, and that special songs for ceremony were the right version and timestamp. Jared was great at hyping up the crowd and keeping people on the dance floor, and took time to announce the bridal party entrances, bride and groom entrance, special dances and speeches, cake cutting, and after party. We appreciate Jared's flexibility with some changes to our speech/toast schedule. Highly recommend working with Jared for your event. We also booked a photobooth add-on with Cutting Edge, which was a great addition!

DJ Richie was awesome! So many compliments from our family and friends. Music was perfect and he was organized from start to finish. He really listened to our personal style and implemented that into our day. Can't recommend him enough.

Joe (My DJ) was absolutely AMAZING. We danced from the ABSOLUTE minute the wedding started , until it ended. He followed every request we had, and everything went without one single issue. He knew how to read the crowd to make sure everyone was having a good time & felt included. Young & Old, all were on the dancefloor. My reception was SIX HOURS and noone left the dance floor ONCE other than to get a drink. We were definitely feeling it the next day. He allowed us to meet with him in person to go over details and make sure all requests were met & introductions were perfect. THANK YOU cutting edge. You made my wedding. Cant wait to hire for future parties!!!

Jared with cutting edge entertainment was fantastic to work with from start to finish. My husband, myself and the guests loved the music. He was able to mix in a great variety of music with our traditional Greek music and it was a huge hit. I will absolutely be booking any future events with him and can’t thank him enough for all his hard work ❤️❤️❤️

When we started planning our wedding, my husband and I agreed that we had to hire an awesome DJ. We both love music and wanted to make sure it set the right vibes for our wedding ceremony and reception. After getting off our initial call with Richie, we knew we wanted him to be at our wedding. It was clear from day one that Richie is not only is he great at what he does and has excellent musical taste, but really seeks to create an unforgettable atmosphere that engages guests of all ages. I also appreciated that he asked our opinions about the vibe we wanted to achieve musically---both for our ceremony and reception---and made sure to incorporate songs that were important to both of us into the set list. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and it was all because of Richie! When the night was over, we seriously contemplated scheduling a big party or event just so we could work with him and the team at Cutting Edge again. They truly are second to none!

Richie was an excellent DJ! He spoke to us on the phone in the beginning and answered any questions we had! As we got closer to the wedding, we were able to meet with him in person! He was very knowledgeable about weddings, music and the venue! He was able to work with us and our other vendors to create a timeline for our big day! Richie was even able to make song suggestions for moments that we didn't even think about! On the big day, he arrived with a second DJ and did an amazing job of keeping everyone entertained, happy and dancing! Once the dancing got started, there wasn't a moment where we didn't have music! He was able to incorporate songs that I suggested as well as similar ones that he knew would get people ready to dance and (once they started dancing) keep them dancing! We are so happy we went with Richie as our DJ!

Steve exceeded the expectations for our June wedding. He was personable, kind, and by far the easiest vendor to communicate with. During our video chat, he took notice to personal details about us and even suggested adding Disney music to our cocktail hour and dinner time. (I am pretty sure I am half Disney Princess). Let me just say, everyone was blown away by the Disney music details and it was talked about by so many guests! He fulfilled every music request that we had, chose music where guests were up and dancing, and really set the tone for our entire fairytale wedding. A million times, thank you, Steve! We are beyond happy to have had you celebrating with us.

Steve was our DJ and I can’t say enough great things about him!! I gave him a few must plays (including a random soundcloud mashup) and an overall vibe I was looking for and he absolutely crushed it. So many of our friends kept saying how great the music was throughout the night and I couldn’t agree more. He made things run seamlessly throughout the night and kept on schedule and was a great MC! The sound quality on the mic was also great and you could understand what people were actually saying. Steve was so professional, friendly and accommodating and I definitely recommend!

Music topped our list as the most important aspect of the wedding. We wanted everyone to be out on the dance floor having fun. From the moment that we met Richie, we knew that we wanted him to be our DJ. We did not consider anyone else and he validated that decision over and over. Richie took the time prior to the wedding to get to know us and our vision. When he presented his ideas to us, they matched exactly what we wanted. We had some unique requests - a birthday, a karaoke session with the ring bearer - and he was welcome to it all. The day itself could not have gone any better. Pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner - the music was perfect for our diverse crowd. From the moment dinner was over to the end of the night, the dance floor was packed. Perhaps we’re biased, but that was the best song selection we have ever heard at a wedding. Judging by the feedback that we received from some of our guests, it was a shared opinion. “I’ve never danced that much at a wedding”. “Every time I wanted to leave the dance floor for a moment to do something, another good song came on and I couldn’t”. The night was perfect; it was everything we could have wanted and more. RIchie was a big part of making that happen and we are so grateful to him and his team for all they did. Highly highly recommended!!

I wish I could give more stars! Richie Abrams did a phenomenal job and made our wedding day so special. He was highly organized, easy to reach, and professional. We had a few simple conversations about our music tastes, his DJ-ing style, and coordinating an extra song during one of the wedding speeches, and he took care of the rest. We received lots of compliments all night about him, and everyone had a blast. So grateful we chose Cutting Edge!

Steve was the DJ for our wedding last weekend, and he was awesome throughout every step of the process. He and Richie were both very responsive and accommodating, and they made sure that we had all of the necessary equipment for our day. We didn't have a day-of coordinator, but Steve was super helpful in announcing all of the important moments throughout the day and helping tell the guests when and where they needed to be. Richie from Cutting Edge was FANTASTIC! I cannot recommend him and his company enough! I was really worried about making sure our wedding was "fun" enough and that people had fun and danced. I literally didn't talk to some of our guests because they refused to leave the dance floor from the moment it opened up. Richie did a great job keeping everyone engaged and having fun throughout the whole night. Also, props to him for pronouncing some of the tougher names in our wedding party with ease. :) The planning process was very easy and straight forward - he took all of our suggestions and requests into account and the evening turned out amazing. Cutting Edge was recommended by our venue, the James Michener Museum, and we're so appreciative for this recommendation. If you're looking for a fun and engaging DJ with a wide range and library, you cannot go wrong with Cutting Edge. We will absolutely be using them for future events!
