Cynthia Abbott has photographed all three of our girls' weddings, the most recent in September 2023. She produced a 1000 gorgeous photos of each wedding with many many absolutely ...
superb photos. We are in the process of creating a photo album of the weekend and it is near impossible to narrow Cynthia's beautiful photos down to the 150 we need for the album. Cynthia is super independent and easy to work with, one of the best vendors across all three weddings. We can not recommend her highly enough.
Cynthia was wonderful to work with! She is very professional, has an excellent eye, and we were so pleased with our wedding photos. She has a knack for catching the perfect moment ...
in her photos and was very easy to work with. We highly recommend her as a wedding photographer!
I highly recommend Cynthia for your wedding photographer. She was amazing at capturing beautiful photos. I never feel pretty in photos and had a lot of concern about how my wedding...
pictures would turn out. At the same time, I really wanted that beautiful wedding photo to hang on the wall of our new home. Other family members had great photos of the whole family while they were together and I wanted to do that as well. Finally, we got married in the fall and I was hoping for some photos with the bright colors of fall. Cynthia did an amazing job capturing me and my husband so that we had several amazing photos to choose from to hang in our home. Additionally, I could tell her experience as a family photographer as she navigated nap time for my niece. Cynthia got stunning photos of family that rarely smile or are often not particularly photogenic. That was impressive!!
We chose to hire Cynthia for 9 hours. She first came to my home to take photos of me and my family, then to the church to take photos of my husband and his family, then the church ceremony, then formal photos with all wedding guests on the church grounds, then the bridal party and parents at the reception venue, cocktail hour, and finally the reception ending with dancing. My sisters both hired teams of photographers, so I was a little nervous that I would get all the photos I wanted with just Cynthia. Cynthia’s photos came out better than either of my sisters’ photographers.
We also had Cynthia do a set of engagement photos for us. We were getting married where I grew up and not where we currently live, so we had limited options on dates. We ended up settling on a holiday weekend, with Cynthia cutting out time from family events for us. The chosen time ended up being rainy. Since we didn’t have a lot of options to reschedule, we went ahead with the photos. They came out wonderful with beautiful colors and great lighting. She found just the right angles so that no one would ever know it was raining—except for the one with the umbrella on a bridge. :) While I was disappointed it rained, the fact the photos still came out great gave me a good feeling for our wedding day.
The only downside to Cynthia is that it did take the 6-8 weeks she told us it would for our photos. That was a long time to wait in the moment, but totally worth it in the end.
I hope to someday take family photos with Cynthia again.
We have had the privilege of working with Cynthia on multiple occasions, and highly recommend her services!
My husband and I first met Cynthia at my sister and brother-in-law's w...
edding a few years ago-- she was so wonderful to work with and produced beautiful photos ... we knew we had to hire her for our own wedding!
We started with an engagement session, which was the best idea, because my husband and I were a bit awkward in front of the camera to start. Cynthia was warm and personable, and helped coax us out of our shells. She worked with us and helped us figure out what "poses" felt most genuine to us. The resulting photos were beautiful- perfect for our save the dates.
We had a very small COVID wedding this past June, and Cynthia was very accommodating to work with during the craziness of the pandemic. Our ceremony was outside, only with immediate family. Cynthia did a wonderful job of capturing our special moment from afar (social distancing!) I really appreciate how she was able to capture beautiful photos without it feeling like she was intruding upon the intimate ceremony. We loved taking photos with her after the ceremony as well-- because we had done the engagement shoot, we felt very comfortable working with her, and were able to work better together as a team to capture the best photos for us.
We are looking forward to seeing the photos she captured of my new niece during a newborn shoot. And, we are excited to work with her again for wedding round 2 (aka, the celebration with more family and friends)! Thank you, Cynthia!
Cynthia Abbot Photography did a spectacular job of capturing the special details of our intimate ceremony. We hired her based on other reviews for our July 11th wedding. We had to...
cancel that big wedding due to COVID and settle for a civil ceremony. About 20 friends and family gathered to watch us tie the knot. Cynthia made a day that seemed somewhat underwhelming feel very special. S she took a lot of care to make sure we got all of the photos we needed and then had some suggestions for ones we hadn't thought about. The quality of the photos and timeliness and receiving them was more than I expected. We will definitely hire her for our "real" wedding whenever time will allow for that.
Cynthia did an incredible job photographing our August wedding! She was professional, creative, and most of all, patient (with the bride...haha!) We couldn't believe how many photo...
s she was able to capture! We didn't want to take any 'couple' photos before the ceremony, and she was able to easily accommodated our timeline. Cynthia captured every important moment with lots of romantic and fun candids as well as formal portraits. We couldn't be happier with the quality of her work and can't wait to order our prints and album! Cynthia Abbott Photography is highly recommended!

et amazing pictures, but she is also so fun to work with and really listened to what our vision was. Cynthia captured our wedding day from beginning to end. In looking at the pictures, she seemed to be everywhere but we hardly noticed her taking all of the candid pictures that she got! She also put us at ease in front of the camera while taking more posed pictures and she really captured who we are as a couple! From the beginning of the planning process to our wedding day, Cynthia was amazing to work with and we are so happy with our pictures.

magical combination of personality and professionalism. Ours was a beach wedding, with so many potential variables - and Cynthia was a calming presence in the whole process and extremely responsive to questions and changes. I knew I could totally rely on her, which felt really good... since you only get one shot at wedding photos! And needless to say, the photos were amazing - she has a great eye and I can't figure out how she got so many great shots when she was so un-intrusive during the wedding and reception. All-in-all a fantastic experience and so happy to recommend her!

nted photographed, including ones that I hadn't even considered, and her expertise was definitely helpful. As both my husband and I aren't super comfortable being photographed, Cynthia put us at ease and was able to capture moments in an unobtrusive way so the final results ended up capturing exactly what we wanted!

Once I received our pictures, I was absolutely blown away! The quality and moments she captured surpassed any expectations we had. I look forward to using Cynthia to document any future events for our family in the future!

t we were looking for. I just felt that instant trust and connection I needed. When we met for our engagement session, she put us right at ease, guiding us through the process and making the experience really fun too! Even my fiance, who hates having his pictures taken, admits he had a great time. And the photos were breathtaking, natural, and her use of light was stunning! Leading up to the wedding Cynthia went above and beyond in helping us figure out the timing of things and what works best. Her many years of experience really showed and helped things run smoothly. The day of the wedding she arrived and immediately jumped right in, putting me at ease, and captured all of these amazing moments - some I didn't even remember until looking back at the photos later. Our photos came out beautifully, and I will treasure them for a lifetime. I highly recommend Cynthia for your wedding. If you want gorgeous photographs and someone who goes above and beyond, look no further!

xactly what was happening in that moment without looking posed or planned, and it was so great to see all of the special moments that she captured when we couldn't be there to see them. We love our beautiful photos and we can't wait to share them with our family and friends!

the quality might not be what you are hoping for. Well with Cynthia you really feel like she is a friend who just happens to be an awesome photographer. She makes you feel so comfortable and gives a much or as little guidance as you would like while shooting. Her pricing is great especially for the Boston area (cost of everything in Boston =$$$$).
Cynthia combines quality, economy, and comfort all into an awesome experience. I love my wedding photos and would definitely use her again in the future. I honestly can't recommend her enough.
