The wedding was a success I married Justin Trudeau.
Fantastic! Bill and Veda were great throughout the wedding weekend. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very friendly and helpful.
The owners of the Inn, Veda and Bill made our dream day come true! Veda, was the day of coordinator and Bill helped set everything up including the chairs on the beach for the ceremony. I was initially worried because the inn isn’t on the beach but it’s right across the street so it was easily within walking distance for the ceremony and then back for the reception. Everything flowed smoothly and went perfect. Very affordable for those on a budget, the majority of the price we paid was for renting out the 5 rooms at the Inn, there is a small vendor fee and day of coordinator fee; this was definitely the most affordable of locations we looked at! Perfect for those with a smaller size wedding, we ended up having 26 guests but they could have accommodated more if needed. Other vendors know Veda which helped with last minute changes that needed to happen and she was great at giving me advice on the little things we needed that I didn't think about. Couldn't have been happier!!!
Rule number 1 is to not pick a vendor that does not provide anything (i.e. tables, chairs, etc) and I broke rule number 1 with this vendor. However, they do have a wrap around porch with 2 tables, chairs and a few benches that the guests could use if they wanted to roam from the tent. Also, you have to rent out the Inn (6 rooms) for 3 nights at a premium. It would've been cheaper to rent a beach house for a WEEK then to spend 3 nights there. The only thing I really liked about it was the location and that they provide a really nice breakfast. It was by far the biggest expense we had, very nice but in my opinion not worth all that money without getting something more for it. I will rate it high however because my guests loved it.
I had my wedding here last weekend and we could not be happier! The owners, Bill and Veda, are so kind and helpful. The decor is adorable and beachy without being overwhelmingly kitschy. The backyard and porch make for the perfect spot to have an intimate wedding reception (we had about 60 guests), though they could easily accommodate larger parties. All of the bridal party stayed in the Inn itself which was perfect for getting ready for the big event with everyone so close by while the guys stayed at the beach rental that the Peters own in Nags Head. It was an easy walk across the way to have the ceremony right on the beach. And the house is bright turquoise! Which I loved AND made it easy for guests to spot that were unfamiliar with the area. And the breakfast- honey and orange french toast- was scrumptious. Wins all around for the Cypress House Inn!
I stumbled upon the Cypress House Inn during one of my online searches. When we checked it out in person, we fell in love with it! It is quaint, steps from the beach, and a perfect beach wedding spot. The Inn keepers, Bill & Veda, could not be more welcoming and helpful. Their kindness and willingness to help with anything was unbelievable.
We had our ceremony on the beach and the reception at the Cypress House Inn. It worked out perectly since it is located on the beach access, has hotels across the street and they offer a weekend package so they entire Inn can be yours. Bill and Veda were amazing hosts. The breakfasts were to die for, the inn is absolutely gorgeous inside and they keep the lanscapinng so beautiful for your weddinng pictures. Veda also helps you find everything you need if you are planning a wedding from out of town like we were. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot. We will be back to celebrate our anniversary there next year!
I loved the Inn keepers Bill and Veda Peters! They were wonderful and helpful and flexible. They opened up their house to my friends and family. The landscaping was gorgeous too. The Cypress House Inn is located directly across the street from the beach so it was easy to get back from the ceremony.
