We booked D2 for our wedding at the Napoleon House in October. We were coming from out of town for the wedding, so we really relied on recommendations from the venue on who to book. D2 was at their top of their recommended DJs list, so we reached out and had awesome communication. Darryl is quick to reply, has all the information you'd ever need and helped answer any and all questions we had. He also has his own client portal that you can fill out with details about the wedding and enter in your song lists. We had a nice zoom meeting where he went over all the details and we were able to clarify our vision for the day. The day of the wedding we showed up early to the venue and Darryl was already there and ready to rock and roll. The lighting set up was awesome, he stuck to our song list, and the party was pumping all night long! He was so fun and great to talk with that I had 0 hesitations booking with D2 and would do it again in a heartbeat!

The best decision we ever made for our wedding was hiring Darryl. He was a referral from our wedding planner and after our first conversation, we didn't even shop around for other DJs – we knew he was the right fit. Starting with music selection – Darryl's software was super easy to use and it was helpful to sort our priorities for those "must play" songs, and even more so share our "do not play" list. The week before our wedding we hopped on a call together to go over the "vibes" of our wedding and Darryl got it right away as I told him my crowd also wanted a mix of some nostalgia emo tunes. Throughout the whole planning process Darryl was responsive and professional – not to mention fun to chat with! The wedding night the dance floor almost caved in we had it so packed – the night started off with tunes for all, but Darryl knew the right time to flip the switch. My one wish for the wedding was to have a dance floor that felt like a house party and it surely did! From 2000's rap, to our favorite middle school rap songs, to the songs that just make you want to go crazy – people were literally chanting DARRYL by the end of the night because every song was banger after banger. Seriously – this is your guy if you're looking for a lit dance floor. THANK YOU Darryl – you are the best!

My fiancé and I had one goal for our wedding, for everyone to have a blast. It has been a little over 2 weeks now and people are still telling us our wedding was the most fun they’ve had in a long time/ the best wedding they’ve been to. I definitely thank Mr. Daryl for that. He kept the dance floor full and read the crowd perfectly with song choices. We had a mix of older and young crowd and everyone had songs they felt comfortable dancing to. Mr. Daryl was actually a fill in when our original DJ got sick, but he kept me feeling confident the whole time with how professional and together he had everything. I cannot recommend him enough!! A good DJ can make all the difference and this one was so perfect for our wedding!

DJs in my opinion can make or break a wedding. I have been to plenty weddings were the music just killed the vibe so I was very concerned about finding the right one. Darryls reviews were great and after sitting down with him to see if he would be the right fit, every worry went away. Our wedding music was perfect and he kept the crowd going, lots of fun!

I am so glad that Darryl was a part of my wedding. Wedding planning for me was a bit stressful but Darryl made this part of it so laid back and easy. He was very professional but fun and made creating the playlists easy with his platform as well. I was also reassured with just how prepared he was and he made me feel like no matter what he could manage any situation that came up. Darryl was Amazing! I had a bunch of questions prior to the wedding and Darryl did a zoom call with myself and husband. Darryl was absolutely amazing to work with! I could not leave the dance floor the entire night because he made the wedding soooooo much fun! He worked so well with our venue and our photographer to make sure everyone was on the same page and was done perfectly. The online system he uses he so easy and his music selection is very big. There was two songs I couldn't find on his system and he was able to get them for the wedding and they sounded great! Anytime we had any questions, he would always respond so quickly and made sure that we had everything we wanted. My husband was so picky about the music and he was so blown away by all the services Darryl provided. The photobooth was awesome and everyone absolutely loved it. I love looking through all photos to see how much everyone had fun. The lighting he used was so pretty and I love the colors he used. The monogram that was on the wall was so pretty. My husband and I loved having Darryl DJ our ceremony and reception. He made sure everything was the way we asked and was so adaptable and accommodating during the process. The day of the event he just wanted to make sure we were happy and having fun. We had a jam packed reception but he kept us on schedule and all the guests commented on how much fun they had dancing! As my job calls for special events I would book him again and recommend him to any couple getting married! We were also excited to book him because as we were venue shopping and asking around about DJs he was always highly recommended by venues!

Darryl is THE Best! Our wedding was a destination so we booked based on reviews but after our first call we knew we needed to book D2. Darryl, was adamant on making our wedding the best possible and was willing to help in anyway. He explained the full process on the phone last year and was responsive via email/calls/texts until our wedding day. We met in person once to discuss reception timeline when we were in town and he assured us he would coordinate everything to our liking and time it based on the flow the day of. We were a little behind on the reception due to the 2nd line detour because of road closures. But he made our reception effortless and got through all speeches in a coordinated fashion with food courses. The music we selected he integrated in with some of his own playlist and kept the dance floor packed. So much so, we didn't get as much use out of the photo-booth he set up! But what we did get from the photo-booth was great and well worth it. I wish I could leave more stars and give a million more examples of how he went above and beyond and enhanced our wedding. Darryl was absolutely fantastic!!

I would honestly leave more stars if I could. The only complaint I had from guests were "we didn't get to eat that much at the reception because the DJ was so good, I just kept dancing!". Darryl has been an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding reception. We were a destination couple (which had it's own challenges with selecting vendors) from Connecticut and he has been so flexible and continuously made himself available for any question we had. He was also open to online video-chats since we could not meet in person which definitely made the process a lot smoother and in kind made us feel more comfortable. His online portal was very user-friendly and had an extensive music library; on top of being open to any special song request that he did not have beforehand. My husband and I had quite the variety of music genres on our music request and he nailed it. He also was very interactive with our guests and timed all events perfectly. We were continuously saying "we're not doing the traditional wedding" which he replied that there is no "traditional" anymore and every couple/wedding is different. The fact that he is able to maneuver around various requests and still put on a great performance with the bride, groom and their guests in mind speaks volumes. I would highly recommend Darryl and D2 Entertainment for your wedding reception! P.S.- WHO DAT!

Darryl was simply amazing. He tailored the music around our requests and kept the dance floor packed for the ENTIRE reception! The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, and that our reception was one of the best they had ever been to! There was a lot of contact prior to the wedding, ensuring we were all on the same page with every detail. From the load-in before the ceremony until the last dance, Darryl was on top of it all. D2 is full service, and also provided the photo booth and up-lighting (that was less expensive than the up-lighting we could have gotten from the venue) for our reception. All of the additional services were provided seamlessly. Additionally, knowing he had back-up gear on hand, we were confident there would be no surprises, and there weren't. Overall, I can't say enough about Darryl and D2 Entertainment!! Our wedding reception was truly A Night to Remember!!

I would definitely recommend D2 entertainment! They went above and beyond to make sure they were on time, and they had a separate microphone system set up for the ceremony. We also had a photo booth and it was so much fun! The pictures were readily available online the next day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I wish I had listened to my gut from the beginning. During our initial meeting, he left our table to approach another couple visiting the venue to pitch them on his services.The main issue was that he played songs that we had not requested-and that were songs that were not really wedding appropriate, in my opinion. He played the wrong song for our bridal party to go down the aisle, along with several other mistakes. When he was approached regarding playing the wrong songs- he had the audacity to interrupt the private dinner my husband and I had planned, just to scold me. So unprofessional. Definitely think long and hard before you book.

Darryl was so easy to work with and made me feel completely at ease through the whole planning process. Any questions I had or things I needed were always responded to quickly with either an answer or a "don't worry, I've got it." The website where you choose photo booth options and the lighted monogram had tons of choices for both style and layout. Darryl put everything together perfectly and everything he brought to my wedding was well done and stress free.

Darryl was great! We literally didn’t have to worry about a thing. He had everything ready to go and paced out everything really nicely. I’m a musician so I’m very conscious of how the crowd is feeling and make sure the mood is right. And he totally nailed it! My friends and family were dancing the whole time! We also gave him one frank Sinatra song to play for the money dance, and it ended up taking a lot longer than we thought, and he just kept cranking out the Sinatra tunes! The vibe was perfect. Darryl was so amazing!!! I didn't give him a big list of music, and he was able to play all of the best songs at all the right times. EVERYONE was dancing and having a blast. I was also very last minute about everything and he was very accommodating. He was also able to work very closely with our wedding planner to make sure everything went smoothly!

Darryl was great! He made the entire process stress-free from day one. I was able to choose the songs I wanted beforehand online, which was very convenient. We had our wedding out of state so were unable to meet with him beforehand to discuss details, but Darryl was nice enough to Skype with us and assure us that he had everything taken care of! He was very accommodating and even came to our rehearsal upon request last minute to make sure he had all of my images for the slideshow. I would 100% recommend Darryl for any wedding or event!

We contacted many DJs in the greater New Orleans area, and one that immediately stood out to us was Darryl at D2 Entertainment. He was quick to respond to our calls and texts, had great knowledge of the industry, was incredibly personable, and seemed like a fun person. We looked up his reviews on all of the websites (theknot, weddingwire, perfect wedding guide, Facebook, etc). Not only does he have 5-stars everywhere, but the reviews that people leave for him are thought out and outstanding — which I think points back to how great a job Darryl does for his clients. Once we put our deposit down Darryl set us up with an easy to use client portal where we were able to list the songs we wanted to be played throughout the ceremony and reception portions of our wedding. We were able to add songs to a “must play” list he had and we were able to add songs to a “definitely do not play” list. The portal made things incredibly easy for us, and ensured we would have a good time during the reception. From the time we retained Darryl’s services, he was basically available whenever we needed to discuss things. Honestly, he would respond to text messages within a few minutes no matter the time of day. He even came out to the French Quarter to meet us a year before our wedding date when we were in town to meet some other vendors. It’s always a pleasure to work with someone as responsive as Darryl. A few days before our wedding he setup a conference call with us to go over the specifics of the wedding one more time to make sure he had everything in order. Once the day came Darryl was awesome. He was at our venue a few hours before the ceremony setting things up. He coordinated everything with the venue himself, so he didn’t need to bother us with anything — which allowed my wife and I to focus on the things we needed to focus on. Darryl had the right music going during the ceremony and kicked us off to the reception in style. Once we got into the reception room he had his setup ready to go and he got the party started. Darryl played us all the hits we requested and there never seemed to be a dull moment during the reception. He was great at reading the crowed to see what people wanted played and he gave the people what they wanted — a great time! We highly recommend D2 Entertainment for your wedding or event. Darryl was AMAZING! We had a small destination wedding of 25 people on the Steamboat Natchez, so I wasn’t sure if I should book a DJ or not, but I am so glad I did! He took care of EVERYTHING, let me set up a playlist and took requests, he went completely out of his way to make our night perfect! All the guests loved him! I never had trouble getting ahold of him and he was right there for any questions we had! Best DJ ever!

Darryl was WONDERFUL! He was very professional from the very beginning. He was very resonsive to calls and emails and was always early for our meetings with him. He made it a priority to meet with us before the wedding so that he could get to know us. He also has an online platform with tons and tons of music that was very helpful when selecting our reception playlist. This platform also made it easy for us to set up a timeline for the reception. Darryl went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. He arrived 4 hours early to make sure that everything was set up properly. When our ceremony singer bailed on us less than 15 minutes before the wedding , he came to our rescue. He was able to quickly find and and have our song ready to play in time for the ceremony.  He also stepped in and assisted when other parts of our reception didn't go as planned. The music he played was excellent, everyone enjoyed themselves at the photobooth, and the uplights were vital in giving the reception hall a nice, classy ambiance. All that he did for us that day meant a lot to us. His service is definitely first class. If you are looking for a DJ, go with D2 Entertainment!

Daryl was our DJ and provided the photo booth for our wedding this past December. Not only was he exretemly accommodating with meeting us before hand to go over songs and other things but he also made our big day one to remember. I highly reccomend D2 entertainment for any occasion!

Darryl was an awesome DJ. We met a couple of times before the wedding and it was great getting to know him! He came up to our venue a day early and checked out the space and got his bearings since the wedding was at a private residence. It was great to see how much he cared about our big day. He brought his high school aged son to help out and he was very professional. On the day of the wedding he was set up and ready to go well before our decorations were even all up. He was cool under pressure when he realized I never sent him a definitive timeline... he only had the timeline we had made at one of our earlier meetings! During the ceremony he came and found me to check and confirm times for things like cake, bouquet toss etc. He got so many compliments from our friends and family about how he kept the party going. Everybody had so much fun. He was able to get everybody moving and he even threw in a song that I mentioned in my vows. It showed how much attention he was paying! I would definitely recommend D2 entertainment to anyone for any event.

Darryl was a real professional during my interactions planning our wedding. We are out of state, so he was really helpful working with us on logistics and making sure everything was pinned down. He checked out the venue before hand to make sure he had space for his equipment, the hook ups, and had everything set up well before the ceremony. During the ceremony, he was able to keep the music going while coordinating with the photographers and guiding the guests through the program. He did it all without us noticing, and without breaking a sweat. Plus, he and his son were just fun people, bringing their own brand of joy to the wedding reception. I really appreciated him taking the time to ask about pronouncing names, the cultural parts of the reception, and the ease of his online interface for picking good music. Go ahead and book with him.

Married 3/18/2017. We had a small wedding of about 40 guest in the French Quarter. D2 treated us as if we were a million dollar event! Great music and personalized service. Oh! They even Facebook Live at my request! They get what this day can be like for the Bride.

My (now) husband is very patriotic and in the Army, and Daryl played a special song for him ("Proud to be an American") and had special red, white, and blue lighting during the song.
