The First Look
Couples looking for a unique and historic wedding venue in the Tampa Bay area should be sure to check out the Dade City Woman's Club in Dade City, Florida. The historic building was built in 1926 and is on the National Record of Historic Places. It features period details while also offering the convenience of modern amenities. Take photos of the wedding party flanked by the property's lush tropical foliage, capture pictures of the newlyweds under the wooden arbor that's draped in greenery or enjoy a fun play on words and take a photo in front of the stone marker that states "First Union."
The Grounds. Ceremonies can be held on the club's manicured grounds, with many couples choosing to get married right on the front lawn. Use fairy lights, lanterns or over-sized pom poms to decorate the space and say "I do" beneath one of the property's stately trees. Cocktail hour can be held inside or outdoors, on the stone patio, with the historic building serving as a picturesque backdrop.
Clubhouse. Receptions for up to 150 people can be held in the clubhouse, which features original heart of pine wood flooring, high ceilings with exposed beams and ornate Tudor-style windows with warm wooden trim. The decorative brick fireplace serves as a ideal spot to display a wedding monogram or pictures of the new Mr. and Mrs. and the raised stage is a nice space for a DJ or live band. The room's warm and inviting feel creates a cozy atmosphere that is sure to inspire guests to celebrate, no matter what the Florida weather has in store for them outside.

Communication is lacking, but beautiful (and affordable) venueReviewed on 6/02/2014 Brittany L
We chose to have our wedding on a Thursday because the cost was about half the price on a weekday as it was on a weekend. I had a really hard time getting in touch with anyone anytime I had a question. In the end, it all worked out. The keys were left for us on Wednesday afternoon and we left them in the dropbox when we left on Thursday night at 11pm. My deposit was returned quickly. Tables and chairs are included, as well as use of the kitchen.
