Dahl Dance

We worked with April from Dahl Dance to take lessons for our first dance at our wedding, and it was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made across the wedding planning process. We both started as novices with very little experience, skill, or talent. From the moment we first met April, we knew that we were in great hands and felt that we were going to be able to achieve what we set out to do. April is a true artist and an incredibly kind and talented professional, coach, and mentor. Throughout the 10 weeks that we had the pleasure of working with April, she guided us, encouraged us, and helped us find beauty in something that was completely new to us. She has an attention to detail unlike anyone we have ever met and really focused on making sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire process. She was patient and always helped us find and celebrate the small wins along with providing actionable feedback when needed. April helped us create one of the most magical and special moments from our wedding day that we will both cherish for a lifetime. We wholeheartedly recommend April for not only the incredible work that she does, but even more so for the wonderful, kind-hearted, and compassionate person that she is as well. Thank you for being part of our special day and helping us create a memory that will forever remain vivid in our hearts!

My husband and I did the wedding package with April to learn and west coast swing routine for our first dance. I used to dance professionally, but my husband had never danced before. April made it so easy for him to learn that he picked it up quickly but most importantly he loves it and wants to continue learning to dance with their studio in the future. We were so happy she and her husband came to our wedding and she gave really good direction to the photographers and videographer to get the best lighting and angles for pictures and video of the dance, they complimented us so much afterward for her insight. Completely worth every penny, we can't wait to go back!

April Dahl from Dahl Dance Center helped my father and I choreograph our Daddy-Daughter dance for our wedding in July 2012. We called the studio, set up an appointment, and gave her a list of the songs we were considering. Before our appointment, April took the time to get to know the music and had a dance ready for us to learn. We ended up changing the song on her, and she STILL had another dance ready for us, using a completely different step. Almost completely on the fly, she was able to teach and choreograph a beautiful dance, and tailor it to our dance skills. Both my father and I have taken dance lessons from her and her husband Gary before, and so we had a solid basic foundation of dance skills. However, we both hadn't danced in years and she was able to patiently work with us to revive our muscle memories and help us make the dance into a very sweet time between my dad and I. I don't know if we remembered all of the steps for the actual big day (because we didn't get enough chances to practices during the wedding hubbub), but the end result was meaningful to my dad and I, and I'm so glad to have worked with April.
