We chose Dale as our JOP for our wedding and it was by far the easiest choice! Dale was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to our many questions leading up to the big day, while also helping us add some personal touches during our ceremony! He was both professional, yet fun to work with. Dale’s overall energy and excitement created a fun environment for ourselves, as well as our guests!

Dale was a great officiant. He was always available when we had questions, and walked us through the process of getting a marriage license. Dale married my wife and I in October 2022, and he was fantastic! We met him for the first time the day before the wedding, and it felt like we’ve been working with him for months. He makes you feel comfortable, relaxed, and prepared for the big day. We can’t recommend Dale enough to anyone who’s getting married. He’s very professional in his work, and connects well with the wedding party. Overall, Dale was superb.

Dale was the best!! He was so helpful and patient with us from planning to the actual wedding. He answered any questions we had and was very professional and cheerful and made everyone laugh. We are so happy we had him be a part of our wedding!!

Dale was the best Justice of the Peace. He was like a master of ceremonies and wildly energetic in all of the good ways. He worked to coordinate with the photographer, dj and others involved with the ceremony so that it flowed smoothly. Not only did we find Dale to be amazing but we received comments from guests and the vendors that were there. The assistance prior to the wedding was also very helpful. We got so many samples of ceremonies and readings that we were able to build the most fitting ceremony for us and add our own pieces that made it specifically unique to us. We would rehire Dale again. We felt his personality was a great fit for ours and made our wedding an experience rather than just an event!

Dale is an extremely professional, responsive, and positive individual. Being able to officiate weddings and having done so in CT, I figured I would be able to in MA without any issues. Unfortunately I was wrong and with only 1 day prior to the wedding, I was stuck and Dale came to the rescue! His expert knowledge of the MA laws pertaining to performing a lawful marriage, he provided a solution to a situation that could have been devastating for the wedding couple! His flexibility allowed us to resolve the issue in a matter of hours rather than days or even weeks! His understanding of the pressures of a wedding can have on couples put everyone at ease and he was able to fulfill the dreams of two very special people without missing a step in the process! If you want to have the best wedding possible, I highly recommend contacting Dale and I know you will not be disappointed! It will be one of the best decisions in your wedding planning you can make! Dale made our wedding ceremony amazing.. Since the minute we talked for the first time, it was like this guy had known us our entire lives and we knew we needed him. He helped calm our nerves and it just such a sweet man. Everyone loved him. I think everyone NEEDS Dale as their officiant! Don't even think twice. He is the best and worth every penny.

Dale is the BEST Justice of the Peace! He has a charismatic presence with an impressive projecting voice that gives your ceremony an excellent presentation. He has so much experience and it truly shows. Dale also is organized and excels at paying attention to all the little details. He knew what to check in with us on in preparation as well as everything he needed to instruct the bridal party to do to ensure a seamless ceremony. Even down to how to hold your hands so your photos come out perfectly. These extra efforts were so appreciated and showed his dedication to what he does!

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant for our wedding. Dale commanded the room demonstrating his experience as a JP but did it in a way that made the whole wedding party comfortable. Not only did the wedding party talk about how efficient and engaging he was, but I got so many compliments from our guests on his officiating. He really listened to our wants and provided suggestions based on his experience, which made the ceremony go so smoothly. Dale is incredible. His charisma is off the charts. Dale was everything we were looking for in an officiant. Dale was organized, professional, and made us feel so comfortable. We instantly connected over the phone, and even more in person at our rehearsal. We never felt lost or unsure. He was always there to guide us when the wedding nerves made us lose our train of thought and put us at ease without judgement. Though Dale may have done hundreds of ceremonies, he understood that this was our FIRST! So he was nothing but patient and kind from beginning to end and offered to go over specific parts as many times as we needed. His delivery of our ceremony was perfect. Everyone not only heard, but FELT what he was saying. That is the most important part of a wedding in my opinion. He was the perfect mixture of serious and fun! I had the pleasure of meeting Dale an an expo in early 2021. Although it was a busy day, Dale spent plenty of time with us. In the next several months on planning, Dale stayed on our minds because of his outlook and positive attitude. We ended up choosing a venue in Connecticut and I was disappointed that Dale doesn’t branch out to CT, but Dale once again proved that he will go to any lengths not to disappoint. He suggested another fellow JOP that he thought was our speed and after going through reviews he was very spot on. Not many people would be so kind or go above and beyond. While we would have picked Dale without a question if we had picked a MA location, He always acted above and beyond of expectations.

We found Dale on The Knot, and we are so happy that we did! He did such an amazing job making our day truly memorable. I found Dale through The Knot and based on the all of the great reviews, I immediately contacted him to hire. I didn’t officially meet Dale until our rehearsal the day before our wedding, but he did not disappoint one bit! He is super friendly and has a sense of humor which is what we like. Since our wedding was such short notice, we met Dale for the first time at our wedding rehearsal. From the moment we shook hands, it felt like we had known him for years. Prior to the rehearsal, he provides samples ceremonies, so you can cater yours to capture what you wish. He's available to answer any questions and he is very quick to respond. In addition to his professionalism, Dale has the most comforting and warm presence. He instantly makes you feel confident about the whole process, and has a lovely sense of humor. Because of this, you have the ability to focus more on your vows than any nerves. If you are hunting for a JP, look no further. Dale is your man! I had to find someone to perform my wedding on fairly short notice (less than 2 weeks). I contacted Dale after reading some good reviews online, and explained my situation. He was very friendly, and enthusiastic, and didn't have any issues with the short time frame. On the day of the wedding, which was a simple back yard ceremony, he showed up in plenty of time, made sure my future wife and I were comfortable with how things were going to go that afternoon, and even offered to help with setting up some last minute details. It felt more like a friend was there, rather than someone I had just met. He definitely enjoys what he does, and you can tell.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dale! My husband and I are so happy we chose him for our June 2019 wedding at Valley View Farm. Dale was professional, organized, and very personable! My husband and I spoke with a few officiants before deciding to go with Dale Desmarais. We met Dale at a local coffee shop, and he brought along a couple of things to help familiarize us with the process -- examples of the scripts for the wedding, suggestions for the unity ceremony taking our backgrounds into account (he had done his research!), timelines for handling the paperwork -- so he was super prepared. His organizational capability and the way he takes the job seriously put me at ease, but what really won us over was his charm. Dale is very upbeat -- he guided us through the meeting with confidence, but he read us well enough to know we could all have a little fun. Dale was very encouraging during the process of defining our ceremony script, which can be bizarrely very nerve-wracking. He provided suggestions for the general flow of the ceremony, and weighed in appropriately when we had any questions. He was always very timely in his responses, and he was always happy to check in over the phone. During the rehearsal and the wedding itself, Dale was absolutely great. My husband and I had prepared for the rehearsal as much as we could -- deciding things like where people would stand and how they would process; and Dale was right on top of covering things we hadn't thought of -- e.g., how the Best Man was to give him our rings,, how our hand fasting ceremony would go exactly. He gave us a lot of confidence for the day of the wedding. During the wedding, Dale did a brilliant job of grounding us, encouraging us, and keeping the ceremony moving. The event being so emotional for my husband and me, it was extremely helpful to have him tell us, after each major part, "Good job. You're doing great. Excellent." He never stumbled, and everything went off without a hitch, including the paperwork afterwards. Dale is a fantastic JP, and if you get married in the area, we hope you get to have the pleasure of working with him!

Dale was amazing, what ever we asked he was there to accommodate. He was on our same level of geekness which transformed our ceremony into all the things we loved, from harry potter to star wars.

Dale was lively and supportive during our most important day. He gave us the option of using any of his ceremony guidelines or coming up with our own. He "herded the cats" of the bridal party during our rehearsal with the practiced art of experience. He stood calmly next to my husband-to-be and radiated peace and balance while I walked down the aisle. Dale gave an immeasurable amount of structure and grace to our ceremony and day, and we couldn't be more thankful.

Dale did a fantastic job, has a great attitude and personality, he made the ceremony feel special. Not to mention we forgot to tell him we were doing a sand ceremony and he was able to freestyle it in without a problem.

Dale won't just make your wedding day special, he'll make ANY day you have a chance to meet with him special. He's a professional with an infectious personality and he puts a lot of heart into his work. He's a fun and funny guy that understands the process and knows how to make you feel comfortable the entire way through planning until the wedding day. We're so happy we decided to have Dale be our JP. I'd recommend him to anybody.

Dale is amazing and honestly, that word doesn't suffice. He is wonderful, magnificent, superb. Or maybe just all of the above! First of all Dale was a literal last minute replacement for our original JP due to an emergency. He came highly recommended by my co-workers and luckily was available. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly, professional, charismatic, knowledgeable, and just all around fun and energetic person to officiate our ceremony and be part of our day. He helped with everything from rehearsal and all the expected requirements of a Justice of the Peace, but also went above and beyond in so many ways, from coordinating with our photographer, to helping the groom and groomsmen with their boutonnieres! Dale was absolutely the greatest choice I could have made for our wedding!! I love his humor which is what sold me in the first place. Absolutely fantastic! As a groom, things can get a little bit crazy last minute with all of the wedding jitters, but Dale was THE BEST! He kept me relaxed through the wedding processional when I was starting to get anxious, and I actually had fun while waiting for my bride! Easy to talk with, connected with us instantly, and kept us calm throughout the entire process. Could not have had a better time, and all of our guests complimented us on how great Dale was! Hiring Dale for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Our friends and family repeatedly told us that our ceremony was the best they had ever attended! We told Dale from the beginning that we wanted our ceremony to be a bit light-hearted and fun, and we would appreciate if he helped take some of the "spotlight" off of us. He made us feel so comfortable standing up there in front of all of guests. He has a fantastic enthusiasm and big voice that really got everyone excited and joyous. Dale was the officiant for our wedding on September 29th, 2018. Dale was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. The minute we met Dale we knew he was the JP we wanted at our wedding. During the planning process, Dale was extremely professional and organized. He explained exactly what to expect and helped walk us through everything. He sent us four samples of different types of ceremonies that were extremely helpful and easy to edit. At our rehearsal and wedding, Dale had everyone laughing. So many people came up to us and asked where we found him, because he was so awesome! Dale helped keep the atmosphere light during the ceremony so that when my now husband messed up his vows and when I put the ring on the wrong finger (oops), we weren't embarrassed in the least bit but were able to laugh it off with our guests. I was extremely nervous since I don't like being the center of attention at all, and Dale helped ease my worries and made me feel more comfortable. My husband and I would recommend Dale to any future couple for their special day!

When my husband and I decided that a traditional, church wedding wasn't for us.. we thought that a great idea would be to have a family member act as our JP. When that particular family member declined... we figured we'd just go with our venues prefered vendor list. We found Dale, who came highly recommended from the Catering manager (whom he married) as well as our photographer. We asked Dale to do a run through during our rehearsal (he does ask for an additional fee for this service, of course). We met Dale that night, we'd corresponded over emails, and immediately felt at ease. He took charge of our crazy wedding party and was able to make us laugh at the same time. He was very informative for those who had not been in weddings previously and shared useful tips like.. girls put your flowers here.. guys position your hands like this. Dale had sent us templated wedding ceremonies but assured us that we could customize in any way we wanted. My groom and I put together a ceremony that we thought was very fitting.. and Dale made sure all of the necessary components were inserted. Dale was absolutely great to work with. Dale's personality is perfect for performing a wedding ceremony! We wanted a fun, happy, light hearted ceremony because a marriage is supposed to be full of love, happiness, and joy!
