Musicians of Dallas Asian Strings have been playing together for more than ten years. They have all reached an exceptionally high level in music, and thoroughly enjoy applying their skills, and working collaboratively to provide an excellent service. We have an extensive repertoire and are also happy to take requests if you have that perfect song in mind for your special day. We love playing the classics but we have had some fun putting together some great arrangements of modern music too. Dallas Asian Strings can be booked from the size of 2 and up to 8 musicians, such as a Duo, a Trio, and a Quartet. 2018, Dallas Asian Strings participated on the Lifetime TV "Married At First Sight" Season 7 in Dallas, Mia and Tristan's wedding ceremony. This was the first vendor that we booked after securing the venue! They are WONDERFUL! We booked the quartet and the music was beautiful. Joplin was great to work with and took care of any requests we had. There is nothing better than LIVE music that is high quality. They played both outside and inside at our venue. Lots of compliments on these wonderful string music! Great selection of music!

We hired Dallas Asian Strings for my daughter's recent wedding, and they were the perfect addition for the garden ceremony! They are very talented professionals and were so easy to work with. They have a large song selection to choose from, both modern and classical, and I only wish we had hired them for longer!

I had high expectations for this group. I hired them for my wedding on 12/3/2022 and they did not meet my expectations due to unprofessionalism presented by their quartet and owner. Joplin did not want to join a virtual meeting to discuss our set list and other logistics. My wife and I went through their song options and created a list for our requested songs. We recorded their performance throughout our wedding night and played it back on our audio devices. A few songs they played, like Material Girl, were not on our requested songs list. For the price we paid them, this is extremely disappointing, especially since we booked them very early giving them plenty of time to prepare. Why did they play songs that we did not request?? We had a list of songs that would cover more than enough time that we booked them. When they arrived at our venue, they did not greet us and went straight to their playing location even though they walked right past us and we smiled and waved at them. We were not busy and just stood there while our videographer was recording detail videos of our venue. They were 'moody' as some of my guests told me days after my wedding and they presented themselves as stuck up the entire night. I'm not quite sure why they were somewhat rude on our wedding night. We were kind and communicative throughout the entire process. I hired them from 6-8:30 PM and they also had a 30 minute break. The total was $1012.40. I feel this was a premium price to pay for a professional, friendly, and great service, however we did not receive any of that throughout the entire process with Dallas Asian Strings. On a side note, they sounded slightly out of tune in their performances. The cellist was flat and the 1st violin was not loud enough. I have experience of performing with my violin at multiple gigs where the positioning/location of my group was not that great and the sound system was not great either, however I made sure to let the party/wedding couple know I was there and that they would be very well taken care of by my performance and I would do the best I could. Their given space was not that crowded and was extremely doable. Joplin never emailed me to advise on placement of her quartet and did not give any suggestions. I personally left an audio device, not a pen, in the middle of the quartet before they started. The audio device was right in front of them, about 1 feet away from their music stand. You would think the 1st violin would be loud enough, but it was not. Overall, very disappointed.

Quick, professional communication throughout the entire process made Dallas Asian Strings one of the easiest vendors we worked with! Their repertoire is very extensive which made it fun to choose songs for prelude, ceremony, and cocktail hour. We even sent in requests the week prior to the wedding and they were able to make it happen for us! They truly added such an elegant, classic feel to our daughter's wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased with their professionalism and performance. Money well spent!

We hired a string trio through this company and were very pleased with their services. They have a large selection of music to pick from, including popular Joe Hisaishi music (Studio Ghibli Collection). The musicians showed up on time, came in quietly and left quietly after the ceremony was done. I would highly recommend hiring them.

Growing up, I played the violin in middle school & high school orchestra. However, I was never as good as these professionals! Joplin and Dallas Asian Strings performed for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The venue was outdoors and you were able hear the strings from quite a distance. Dallas Asian Strings had a diverse selection songs to choose from, ranging from Pachelbel's Canon in D to Bruno Mars' Marry You. We kept catching ourselves trying to gravitate towards the quartet since we were only going to be enjoying them for a few minutes before we had to do other things. Dallas Asian Strings provided a classy look with modern twist to our wedding and would highly recommend for any future event whether its a wedding or a company event. Thank you guys so much for such a great evening!

I can not describe how incredible they were! They were unfamiliar with two of the songs we selected for the ceremony and were able to learn and execute perfectly in just three days! They also set the perfect mood for our cocktail hour and we were receiving compliments on their performance all night.

This group was awesome! We sent them the songs we wanted for the pre ceremony, processional, unity candle, and recessional. We never rehearsed with them but new exactly when to start and fade out the music at the precise moments throughout the ceremony. They were easy to communicate and work with throughout the process.

We hired Dallas Asian Strings trio for our wedding ceremony and it was by far the most BEAUTIFUL and ROMANTIC ceremony. They have an array of music to choose from including classic to modern day songs which we absolutely loved. The second I heard them play while I was waiting to be escorted out, I instantly got very emotional and was so happy to have chosen them.

I was worried we may run over time but they were very understanding and accommodating. They did an outstanding job and for our venue they used the acoustics to their advantage. Amazing, amazing, amazing string duo! We hired Dallas Asian Strings a bit last minute after our planner convinced us to have live music for our cocktail hour - and it was the BEST decision! All our guests were complimentary of the Duo, and the music was simply beautiful. Highly recommend.

Dallas Asian Strings were amazing! The music was wonderful! I hardly knew they were there, which trust me on wedding day is a huge compliment! The Best Choice Ever! Dallas Asian Strings were amazing! Joplin was super helpful throughout, always got back to me super fast. They were one of our favorite vendors! Guests LOVED them and my fiancé immediately cried when they played the intro song because of how beautiful it sounded. They were perfect! I got tons of compliments about them after the wedding. Somebody STOP ME from RAVING about them!! They really went out of their way for my husband and I! We have requested songs dedicated for my mom who passed away and song my husband wanted that they do not normally play, BUT they have the BIGGEST HEARTS and they really practiced and made sure they could do it for us and THEY DID! They’ve given us a STELLAR and ENTHRALLING performance. Hearing them play as I walked down the aisle was nothing short of MAGICAL. I still get emotional when I think of it! Dallas Asian Strings (quartet) played at my wedding on April 11th, 2021 and I could not be more pleased! They were prompt to respond to my emails and after I gave them the ceremony order they were able to play the wedding to perfection without any rehearsal needed. They offer rehearsal days for additional, but I felt confident in their abilities and my wedding was fairly simple. My dreams came true with having a quartet play live for my ceremony, and I’m so grateful I found them. My wedding was a little far from Dallas so I was lucky that they were able to travel to me. Thanks again for making the day magical, all my guests loved it!!!

Amazing String Trio! I’m so happy my husband and I booked Dallas Asian Strings for our December 12th wedding at The Olana! They were exceptional! Communication prior to our wedding was excellent, they made sure that we would have the exact music we wanted played. Day of, they sounded exquisite and were very professional. You will not regret booking them for your wedding or event!

I can not say enough good things about Dallas Asian Strings, and Joplin Lu. From the first contact we had with them, it was a smooth, straight forward, and easy process. We were able to pick every bit of music we wanted played before, during and after the ceremony, as well as during the cocktail hour. They truly MADE our wedding day even more special, and if you have any doubts or hesitations about hiring them or having a string quartet at your wedding... I could not recommend live music for a ceremony enough. We hired a trio through Dallas Asian Strings the last few months of our wedding. They showed up on time, and our guests thought they were great. I had several songs that were not in their repertoire that they had me purchase the sheet music for and they learned how to play them last minute! My ceremony was beautiful, and I thank Dallas Asian Strings for being apart of that.

We had a Final Fantasy themed wedding and requested music from the game to be played. Dallas Asian Strings played beautifully during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Our guests LOVED it! They keep coming up to us and complimenting the string quartet. This is the perfect for brides planning their own wedding. They make the booking process simple, responds quickly and they don't mind breaking things down for you. I enjoyed working with them!

I was amazed at the professionalism and service from the Dallas Asian Strings! Joplin is very responsive by email, which was super important to me. I booked a string trio to play for my ceremony. They even learned and arranged a song that was not already in their repertoire for my two maids of honor to sing during the wedding. They even arrived early to practice with them before the ceremony! The music was beautiful, the performance was flawless, and I am so happy I chose them to play at our wedding.

Joplin Lu was very responsive from the first time I reached out to Dallas Asian Strings. I hired their trio for my ceremony music. They arrived on time and played beautifully. They had a long list of songs to choose from and I believe if you let them know with enough time in advance, they will play special requests. I did not need to ask for any special songs because I found ones that I loved on their repertoire. They had a variety of modern/classics.

All of the musicians were extremely talented and the music was absolutely stunning. They are punctual and responsive. Joplin was also so wonderful to work with. Wow. I'm so impressed with Dallas Asian Strings. I asked of lot of them, requesting songs that weren't already in their repertoire, one being very complicated and it all turned out perfectly. They had an extra rehearsal for the complicated piece before my wedding day to make sure it would be great for me - and it really, really was. And on the business side of things, they were very professional and Joplin was very responsive when I had questions - helping to alleviate some of the stress of wedding planning. We had a string trio play during our ceremony and they did a great job. One of my requests was for the musicians to transpose a song that was special to us from piano to strings and Joplin and her group learned it quickly and it sounded great. They also have a good mix of classical and more modern songs in their repertoire.
