Jourdan participated in my wedding, and the guests were super excited to get their sketches done. The sketches were a huge hit with my guests!! I hired her for part of the receptio...
n and let her know which guests had priority. She gave us the option to finish up any portraits that were in queue, but we opted to do first come first serve, and let the guests know that.
Jourdan is absolutely phenomenal at what she does, and so many guests were talking about how cool it was to have a sketch artist at a wedding! She was extremely flexible and even h...
elped us get portraits from the wedding after the fact.
After booking in January 2023 for my wedding in July 2023, we received very little communication from Jourdan leading up to the event other than requests for payment. On the day of...
my wedding, I honestly wasn’t sure that she would even show up since we had heard nothing to confirm. Due to the lack of communication, there were also details that were implemented on the day of the wedding that had not been discussed. The first being the size of the drawings. During the booking process, we discussed that we wanted 5x7 portraits. Jourdan did 8x10 portraits at the reception which caused many guests to not have the opportunity to get their portrait done.
After speaking with my family, many had their picture taken very early in the reception but still did not receive a portrait. My cousin had his photo taken with the rest of his family before the wedding party even entered the reception and they did not receive a portrait. My older sister who was matron of honor and my brother in law who escorted me down the aisle had their picture taken early in the reception and didn't get their portrait done either. I had my picture taken with my youngest sister who was my maid of honor and didn't get that picture, even after the wedding.
After the wedding, my content creator told me that she was rude to her after she had asked to get a video of her working on the portrait of the groom and I. Not only was she rude to my vendor, Jourdan very rudely told my aunt and uncle that she did not have time to get a portrait of them done. I understand that she could only do so many, but to snap at my guests is not ok.
Finally, on many of the portraits, my husband's name was misspelled and the date of the wedding was incorrect.
After emailing regarding the missing pictures, I was shocked that she was going to charge $30 dollars per person (so $60 for a couple) to do what should have been done during the event. I would be interested to know how many portraits were actually done that night since we saw so few. I reached out to Jourdan regarding these issues and she has yet to respond to me to try and at least get the pictures of me and my sisters.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend hiring Dallas Fashion Artist. She was one of the more expensive vendors I hired and I was extremely disappointed not only in the lack of communication and errors on the drawings, but also how she treated my family members and my content creator during the wedding.
