Daniela is so sweet and made my experience so much better! I felt like I didn't have enough time to find my dress and other bridal salons had not been helpful and made me feel even more stressed about it. As soon as I stepped into Dame Daniela immediately put my mind at ease and helped me each step along the way. My dress was not only here in time, it was also altered beautifully and fit me like a glove. Daniela I can't thank you enough! Anyone thinking of going to Dame Couture definitely should!

If you’re looking for a dress in the Chicago area, I highly recommend Daniela at Dame Couture! We visited about 5 stores, mostly downtown, and we all agreed we had by far the best experience at Dame. It’s a small, independent store so you’re group will have the place to yourself and one on one attention which makes it a more relaxed and enjoyable experience compared to some of the larger stores downtown. The dress selection is great (I ended up choosing a dress from the Truvelle line) and Daniela is very sweet and easy to work with. We had no problems at all from the first consultations through the two fittings. Highly recommend!

Daniella of Dame Couture is truly superwoman. Not only was she incredibly accommodating and helpful during the entire wedding dress selection process, but she basically reconstructed the entire top of my dress to make it exactly what I wanted. Daniella doesn't quit and will work tirelessly to give you the dress of your dreams. She is also one of the kindest people I've ever met, and she made all of our fittings so seamless and fun. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Finding my dress here was a fairytale! I went to Dame Coutour for a Truvelle trunk show but Daniela was what made the experience an incredible one. She is welcoming, kind, honest, and is extremely knowledgeable on all things wedding related! She also is an incredible seamstress! Of all of my wedding vendors, Daniela at Dame Coutour was easily among the absolute best. She made my dress experience a beautiful one that I will remember forever!

I was referred to Daniela through an acquaintance because her shop is very close to my house and I cannot express how grateful I am for that referral. I didn’t buy my dress from her originally but went for her to alter it- I ended up not liking my first dress when we started to pin and tuck (I bought it on sale and very early on). She was so helpful and calm and supportive with me! Helped me try on samples from her GORGEOUS collections she has and we ended up finding the PERFECT dress for me. Even as I was a little indecisive on the fit while we were altering (more tucking, less tucking LOL) she was always so professional and calm and supportive. She helped guide me every step of the way and made me feel so comfortable. There is so much value in personalization when you get married and Daniela was so amazing during all of it. I can’t express my gratitude enough for the experience she provided and the outcome of the dress- which EVERYONE gushed over. Her selections are impeccable and her tast is beautiful and her alteration work is amazing.

I met Daniela at a bridal show and knew I would be visiting her store as soon as I saw how professional and personable she was! She made a custom veil that complemented my gown perfectly. My whole wedding incorporated twists on the traditional elements, so I wanted my veil to match that, and she listened to my idea and turned it into the best version it could be! She is truly an expert seamstress and values her brides' dreams for their wedding day look.

Daniela is phenomenal to be honest when I picked up my dress for the last time I hugged her twice she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. To help me with my dress. I was looking for a plus size wedding dress and she absolutely made my dream dress come true. She custom made the top of my dress to fit me better! Her jewelry and head pieces are phenomenal I received so many compliments on my dress and headpiece. Daniela should absolutely be trusted to take care of your dress her style and taste is amazing. my partner also chose her jumpsuit from daniela where daniela added sleeves!! she is also amazingly patient!

I can not express how happy I was to work with Daniela. I purchased my gown in New York, but was getting married in Evanston, IL. I choose to go to Dame Couture because they carried the same designer that made my dress. My dress was made out of silk charmeuse, which is not easy to work with. She was so good about making sure everything fit perfectly and making me feel good in my dress. After what was slated to be my final fitting, we discovered that part of the dress was puckering, so she took it back opened up the seam and fixed it. Her prices were so reasonable and she was willing to accommodate my travel schedule. I loved working with her!

I went to a few other bridal salons, and at a size 14 at the time, I was having such a hard time finding a dress that didn't make me feel like a marshmallow or like I was a little girl playing dress up. Until I went to Dame Couture. I was looking for a bohemian feel for my wedding dress and Dani had just the thing: a french cotton lace Kite & Butterfly dress. She was so great and fast with alterations and just a joy to work with. Dani and her shop had such a better vibe than some of the other places I went. It was a joy to go there for alterations. I got soooo many compliments on my dress. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone who is stressing about the dress like I was.

I got Truvelle's Carolina dress from Dame Couture for my July 2017 wedding. I had the pleasure of working with both Holly (the previous owner) and Dani (the current owner). Although Holly and her shop in Evanston were wonderful, I'll focus on Dani and her shop in Addison. I liked Dani the instant I met her. She is not only a talented seamstress and designer, but she's SO sweet and professional. I couldn't have been happier with her alterations/adjustments and additions (we added a decorative belt to my dress, which was the perfect touch). The store is pretty, hip, clean, and spacious. Dame carries several designers and has some really unique dresses. My wedding guests were RAVING about my dress and how they'd never seen anything like it. If you want a great selection as well as great service, Dame Couture is the place to go!!!

I was hunting for a retro-looking wedding dress that was knee length, and it was so hard to find. Until I went to Dame Couture! Holly had the exact dress of my dreams. Her designs are impeccable, and working with her was a breeze. Finding a dress and getting it custom fit through Dame Couture was the easiest, most stress-free process of the entire wedding planning and it was because Holly rocks. I fell in love with all of her designs there. If you're looking for some vintage-inspired designs and want to support local businesses, Dame Couture is the best place to go.

Holly is amazing! This boutique salon only carries Holly's designs, along with some other small independent designers. The shop is adorable--adorned with fun vintage decor. I wouldn't recommend this shop to a bride who has no idea what she wants, as the selection is rather limited and all quite non-traditional or unique in their own right. If you're looking for a beaded, strapless ball gown, move along. If you want a highly customized gown that is playful and fun and special, take the time to visit Holly. She created a highly personalized experience for my guests and me, and her consultant that helped me take the gowns on an off was great--knew exactly where to clip the gowns and really listened to my preferences. If you select a dress by Holly, she can customize or change it however you like. The craftsmanship in the dresses she carries is amazing--every detail is tended to and the samples are in pristine condition. Each dress was special and her expertise is incredibly helpful! If you pay in full, you get a 10% discount as well! I also purchased a gold beaded belt and veil in the shop. I ended up choosing an A-line gown with a pleated tulle skirt and lace bodice with cap sleeves, and I couldn't be happier. This shop is so special!

I was referred here by my friend Sally, after seeing her dress from her wedding I knew it was the only place to go. I was fortunate enough to wear my mothers dress. It didn't need much but it was from the 70's and needed some updating. So I got in contact with Holly and she was amazing!! Working with here was perfection. She totally got me and my dress, there are no words to describe how much I love it and still love it!!!! If you're into true vintage dresses, vintage redesign or vintage inspired, Dame Couture is it. The accessories and head pieces as well, it's all beautiful. I could go on forever about this shop but I just will say, Dame Couture is fabulous!!!!

I ordered a made to measure dress and it was gorgeous. I knew that I wanted a short dress with sleeves and a vintage feel and Dame Couture had the perfect dress. I am a hard to fit figure and having a dress made to fit my figure was an amazing experience. Holly at Dame Couture was wonderful to work with, as an out of town bride she worked with my schedule to set appointments for fittings. The whole process from choosing my dress to the fittings to make it perfect was amazing and incredibly enjoyable. I will always have fond memories of working with Dame Couture to create my perfect dress and I hope one day my daughter or niece wears my dress for their big day!

Holly created a custom Lace T-shirt for me to wear under my wedding dress and it turned out perfectly. She completely understood my vision and was very helpful in the process of designing my garment. I would definitely recommend Dame Couture to future brides.

I looked at many traditional bridal salons for a dress but none of them had exactly what I wanted that fit in my budget. I ended up using my mother's wedding dress and having it altered by Holly at Dame Coture. She reconstructed the top of the dress from high neck and long sleeves to a strapless sweetheart neckline bodice. Holly was great to work with. She was a great listener and also gave great advice. My dress turned out perfectly! She also had a lace bolero that matched perfectly. I would highly recommend this shop if you are looking for a one of a kind handmade dress or if you want one altered to fit your style.

Holly, Gretchen and Megan were absolutely amazing! They only had about half the time (if even) they normally do to work on a custom gown and they totally rocked it! Some issues came up and they solved them quickly and without complaint (again, fam not the most easy going;) I was so happy they were almost as excited about my design as I was and I knew it would be perfect, and it was!

I went to Dame Couture for my wedding gown. I'd exhausted all other possibilities (I am a 14/16 - a truly difficult size for bridal gown shopping). After one meeting with the ladies at Dame Couture, I knew that I'd be going with them for my dress. I had an idea of what I wanted, and they helped me through the process of deciding on all the details. I am SO PLEASED with the result. The dress fit my perfectly - would not have changed anything. Also, they have a nice selection of handmade head wear - veils, fascinators, hats, and headbands. I purchased my birdcage veil from them as well.

I loved working with Holly. I was able to use one of their designs and customize it. The dress was the most beautiful thing I will ever own. I felt gorgeous in it and it fit my personality perfectly.
