There is honestly no bad thing to say about Damien, his team, or the video and DJ services they provide!! We hired them for our wedding in November 2018 and are so so so glad we did. Damien was extremely responsive right from the start, and patiently answered all my questions about both DJ and Videography when we were still in the deciding phase. Once we booked, my now husband and I met him in person and he meticulously went through all of the details he needed to know. He was incredibly professional but had a genuine warmth and easy-going nature that made planning and the day of an absolute breeze. Video: He worked with us to include all of our "wish list" items for videography at a price within our budget, and he still went above and beyond what we said we wanted. The day of, he and his team captured so many great details while being fun and unobtrusive. All those who have watched our wedding video are blown away at how well it was put together and how perfectly it tells the story. We love showing it to people and getting to re-live the day over and over! DJ: As for DJ services, Damien went above and beyond there too! He was the perfect MC, keeping the dance floor popping at all times! We got to dance more than we thought we would because so many people wanted us to join them on the dance floor! Lastly, Damien was the absolute best vendor we worked with throughout the whole process, not just for his videography and DJ skills, but because of his immense knowledge of the industry in other areas as well. He really wanted our wedding to be a success in every aspect, so he gave us lots of general advice and even let us come to him with questions unrelated to his specific services. He showed us time and again that he genuinely cared, and he delivered in so many ways. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to work with Damien and his team, and we would recommend them to anyone seeking videography or DJ services.

Damien was great to work with!! He was an awesome communicator. We listed out a variety of songs for him to play. He did a great job at playing all the songs we wanted to hear. All of our friends and family has a blast dancing along!! He also did great with the flow of the wedding. I could not have asked for a better DJ! He really made our wedding so much fun!!

We enjoyed communicating with Damien, and found him very attentive and pleasant to work with....but then the wedding arrived and his services weren’t as we had anticipated. We had had several conversations about the order of the evening, but Damien did things fairly out of order and it really hurt the flow of the event. Damien also messed up some of our attendant’s names during introductions, and he allowed someone to give an impromptu speech when we had explicitly told him not to allow that. We had a lot of music selected for him to play, but we didn’t hear a good mix of it. We were also confused because he was playing country music at one point when we hadn’t loaded any in for him and had said we really didn’t want any. All in all, Damien was a pleasure to communicate with, but the execution of our event was not as we’d hoped, and it really impacted the flow of the evening and our experience negatively.

Damien is such a blast to work with! He is professional, timely, organized and so friendly. He pays keen attention to detail and wants to make sure he captures all of the special moments on your big day. He provided both Videography and DJ services for our big day. Both services were fantastic! We highly recommend Damien and his staff : ) He is the best!

Damien was absolutely awesome!! He took in all of our suggestions and made them even better than we could have imagined. He seriously kept the party going the entire time and was perfectly flexible when we last-minute (I mean last-minute!) decided to include a money dance. We didn't have a wedding planner, Damien acted as the "keeper-of-the-time" and made everything go wonderfully smooth. The one suggestion that I would not recommend is to do the Father-Daughter & Mother-Son dance immediately after the cake cutting. The idea that Damien suggested was to give everyone time to eat their cake while watching us dance, but realistically no one had their cake until after our dances were over. The timing just didn't work out and I wish we had a few slow dances between the cake cutting and the Father-Daughter, Mother-Son dances.

Damien was our DJ for our 12/13/14 wedding at City Club Raleigh; he did an absolutely amazing job and is highly recommended as a wedding DJ if you are in the NC area!! He was extremely professional throughout the entire planning process. We never had to follow-up with him, he always followed up with us, and he really took the worry out of it. With so many vendors to deal with when planning a wedding it is a HUGE help to have someone who is experienced, knows what they are doing and puts your heart at ease knowing it will all be taken care of. Damien even went to the venue on his own a couple weeks before our wedding just to check it out, without us even requesting him to do so. On the day of, he really took charge and it was clear he wanted our wedding to be a success as much as we did! We had many of our guests come up to us after and say it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. With most of the fun happening on the dance floor, we owe a huge thank you and shout out to Damien for being such a vital part of our wedding and making it the most magical day of our lives!!!

Damien kept everyone dancing the whole night. He had such a great music selection and really paid attention to what songs my husband and I as well as the wedding guests wanted to hear that night. Great DJ!

Damien was absolutely Brilliant! Everything was awesome from start to finish. I could not have imagined anything more from what we received. Everyone truly enjoys watching the video.

Damien provided DJ services for our September wedding. He was very responsive by email and met with us to go over the details of our day-of schedule. His website was excellent. He was on-time and ready for anything for our outdoor event including bringing extra cords and speakers to cover the ceremony in one location and the reception in another - just-in-case they were needed. We had about 25 kids ranging in age from 6-18 and he kept them on the dance floor as soon as they were done with dinner (much earlier than the adults were!). We appreciated his range of music and keeping all the moving parts of the reception relaxed, but on-time. A plus for us was that we were really comfortable with him and felt that he understood the type of atmosphere were were trying to create.

We are so pleased that we chose Damien as our DJ! Damien was very easy to work with and has a wonderful personality. Damien provided microphones for the ceremony, music for cocktail hour, and announcements and music through the reception. He has online planners and music choice lists with THOUSANDS of songs and the ability to add songs not on his list. Damien is very skilled at making one song flow with another- there were awkward song or genre transitions. During the reception, it was obvious that Damien loved what he was doing!

I cannot say enough good things about Damien Maass. Although he provides DJ services also, we booked him only as a videographer as we had already booked a DJ by the time we decided to hire a videographer. Damien is one of the most professional and caring people I have ever met. He really took the time to get to know my husband and me, which really meant a lot to us and was reflected in our wedding video. Damien is a truly dedicated to his craft - he even went to our wedding venue a few days before our wedding and shot images of our venue for a few hours to ensure that there would beautiful shots for the video. We received our video less than two weeks after our wedding, and we watched it over and over again the night we got it. My husband and I were both in tears! It was truly amazing and such a blessing to be able to relive our wedding day, which flew by so quickly. In addition to providing a DVD of the wedding video, he also puts together a short "highlight" video that is about five minutes long. He gives you the link to the highlight video so that you can share it with all of your family and friends! We have heard so many great comments so far from our family and friends about the highlight video! Damien truly is such a professional and we'll never be able to thank him enough for providing us with something that we'll be able to treasure for the rest of our lives!

Damien helped us have a perfect reception! Our whole experience working with him was great. He is personable and easy to reach. Our reception went off without a hitch. He played great music that all of our guests enjoyed dancing to. Overall, it was a great experience!

This review is really in two parts because we hired Damien as both our DJ and Videographer. First, let us just say that Damien was our obvious choice after our initial meeting. He is a lot of fun but also very professional and clearly knows what he is doing. Everything about working with Damien as a DJ was very streamlined. They say that the DJ is a "director" of the reception and Damien works hard to put all the options on the table for you, but not overwhelm you. His online 'play list' and 'do not play list' were extensive and easy to manage, and he made sure those things ran smoothly on our wedding day. Also, even on the wedding day nothing has to be set in stone, as we changed our minds about a parent dance on the wedding day and it was no problem. It was so nice to have a DJ who really helped make the wedding day all about us! Everything went perfectly and Damien kept the mood fun and got people up and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time. We could not be more enthusiastic to recommend Damien as a DJ for your special day. As a videographer Damien was similarly excellent. He had an extra cameraman for work at the Chapel and because Damien was DJing the reception, his extra crew member then filmed the reception. Being followed around by cameras takes a little getting used to, but everyone was professional, nice, and unobtrusive. Rather than a complete video documentary of the wedding day, he put together a 20 minute "highlights" video which was perfect. It was really fun to sit down and re-live the wedding day a little and the length and tempo of the video means we will likely watch it more than just a few times. We could not have asked for a better Wedding Day and much of that is due to the people who brought everything together. Damien did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend him for both DJ and Videography services.

WOW. What a terrific decision we made by hiring Damien to DJ our wedding. From the very first moment I spoke with him, he was supremely professional and an absolute joy to collaborate with. Because of his hard work, I was able to relax and actually enjoy my event---he took care of everything! The flow of the evening was perfect because of him. Our guests danced literally the entire night. Damien was completely willing to work with our tastes and customize our music so that our favorites played and so that our least favorites (cough cough...YMCA, Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide....) didn't come near our special day. SO SO SO HAPPY to have hired Damien. I give him my highest recommendation!!!!

We had the pleasure of working with Damien not only as our DJ but he also created a beautiful wedding DVD for us. He was professional, has years of experience and did exactly what I wanted. I wanted a fun wedding with a lot of dancing and he got everyone on the dance floor all night! Damien also provided his videography services. The video was amazing and truly captured our special day. Pictures are always nice but to have a video of our day from start to finish was perfect. I would highly recommend Damien for both services. We were extremely pleased and he truly made our day so much more special. Damien was by far one of our best wedding vendors we used! Thanks again for everything!

I don't usually do many reviews, but I was incredibly impressed with Damien's services. Out of all our vendors, he was the easiest to get in touch with, stay in touch, and he actually listened to what we wanted. He also gave us some great ideas too! During the wedding, his team was where they needed to be and were never, ever in the way or interfered with any photos, etc. They were so well prepared that we never had to tell them what was next....we could trust their expertise. After the wedding, the video was done before we even got back from our honeymoon! Talk about quick! The video was absolutely perfect, and that says a lot coming from me (a photographer and artist that has high standards). Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better videographer. You can tell that he spent extra time making sure that the smallest of details that meant something to us were included. I've worked with a lot of professional vendors and this was my best experience by far!

Damien Maass was our DJ for our wedding, and he really could not have been any better! We were blown away by his services from the very beginning. He worked with us through the planning process, was always reliable and professional, and worked with us to fit our budget. The day-of everything went extremely smoothly, and Damien kept the guests amped up and enjoying the reception. We had guests on the dance floor the entire night, and we received multiple compliments on our DJ pick. He even did a little spontaneous video tapping that turned out great!! Seriously, you can't go wrong with Damien Maass for DJ services or videography.

Damien Maass was a very professional DJ from start to finish. He was able to fill in the blanks with a great variety of music that suited our multi-cultural guests. We still get great comments about his emotional video of our wedding ceremony & reception. He captured the love & beauty of our day better than we could have imagined! Damien Maass was the DJ for my wedding in Raleigh this past weekend. I cannot speak highly enough about Damien. Out of all of the vendors that I had, he was by far the best vendor. Damien returns phone calls and emails within an hour. Any questions I had, he tackled immediately. Any requests I had, he was more than excited to try to accommodate. He has a website with online tools that help you create your reception and ceremony music to be exactly what you would like. His music library is incredible - and if you have a song you'd like played - he'll get the music and play it for you. He was willing to meet with me as often as I'd like, and paid absolute attention to details. He met with my fiance and I to get a feel for who we are, and he planned our event accordingly. He has an exceptional personality and a "can-do" attitude. Our wedding day called for torrential tornadoes - I told him I wanted to keep the venue outside - he said he was totally up for anything I wanted. He is absolutely NOT the typical cheesy DJ who announces awkward things when you don't expect them. He sticks to the plan, is professional, and created an awesome atmosphere for our guests. I absolutely would recommend him to anyone getting married. You WILL NOT find a better priced DJ for the services he provides. I can guarantee that. For a DJ - Damien Maass is the best choice you can go with. We had a blast, and I know he will make your event just as special.

Damien was AMAZING. He is so kindhearted, punctual, flexible and fun to work with. He always had people on the dance floor and made the appropriate announcements when the time was right. I loved the planner he has on his website where you are able to pick your own music and set certain times for different activities throughout the night. As far as his videographer skills? Excellent. He even had the video to us in less than a week..which made me and several other people cry all over again-wow! Thanks, Damien!

Damien was a great DJ - very professional, flexible and outgoing! He was up to date on everything during my planning process and available all the time for me to change things and up until the very last minute when I was still making changes, he was ok with it. He was also very flexible ... I had spoken with him and discussed the times everything would go on throughout the reception, and during the reception, I decided to do the garter toss early and Damien threw on the music I wanted for it, and was ready to go with no complaints! He was also very outgoing and fun! I had guests from the age of 2-90 and he had everyone out on the dance floor dancing ... he played all kinds of music and the songs I had requested! He kept the party going for the young and the old! Everyone had a great time!

My husband and I are sooo happy that we chose Damien to DJ at our wedding! From the very begining, I found Damien to be very profesional, yet personable, and always quick to respond to phone calls and emails. I knew we had made the right choice from the moment we hired him for our wedding which was confirmed on our wedding day! Damien did an amazing job at our wedding! All of our guests complimented the music selection and everyone had a blast! We could not have asked for a better experience! He not only was in charge of the music for both the ceremony and the reception but he also helped us with the overall flow of both and really went above and beyond in all of his undertakings. I'm so glad we chose Damien as our DJ. He was so helpful in planning our reception and ceremony, and was there from start to finish. He had our difficult crowd dancing the entire time! (some DJ services sub out events to other DJs so you don't know who you are getting.) Damien made me feel as though my wedding was his only priority!
