We hired Dan to photograph our June 7th wedding, and we could not possibly be happier we did. We knew as soon as we saw the sampling of photos on Dan’s website that his style was exactly what were looking for and meeting Dan in person completely solidified our impression. He is clearly an expert in his field and immediately put us at ease that all we had to do on our wedding day to get good pictures was to enjoy ourselves and have fun. His method of operating is the perfect balance of utmost professionalism and natural ease, and on our wedding day he captured every single photo we asked for plus dozens of little moments we hadn’t thought of but will treasure forever. Neither of us had ever had professional photos taken of us, but Dan’s humor and one-liners kept us laughing and relaxed at every turn. Dan’s photography assistant Micaela was also so tuned in to every moment and made sure every possible angle of the day was captured beautifully. I've looked through countless wedding photographers' portfolios and wasn't impressed until I saw Dan's. His level of creativity and attention to detail are on another level; he's made every couple looks like they belong in a wedding magazine. Dan is the best. He photographed our 6/29 wedding. We did our engagement shoot with him as well and it was awesome to get to know him before our big day. We are so happy we found Dan. He is patient, kind, prepared, personable, flexible, and a true professional. He truly thinks of everything and makes everyone feel so comfortable. My hair stylist even commented on how impressed she was by him and how lucky I was that my photographer was so nice and had such good vibes! I didn’t really think about how much time you spend with your photography team on your wedding day during formal portraits, it was awesome to spend that time with someone who let us be ourselves, made the process fun, and rooted for us along the way. Dan is a true gem of a human and photographer. I had the pleasure of working with him 3 times as a bridesmaid and so I had seen firsthand what an incredible job he does. When it came time to hire a photographer for our wedding, it was a no-brainer. He is professional and so easy to work with. He is very calming throughout the process and especially day of. He is incredibly well organized to make sure you get all the pictures you want! Our photos are STUNNING- we honestly cannot decide which ones to frame because they are all frame-worthy and incredible! Very quick turnaround time too which was awesome. Dan is just the best. From first reaching out to our wedding day (with an engagement photoshoot in between), he made the entire process so fun and easy. Cannot say enough amazing things about Dan and his work. Dan did our engagement photos in summer 2023 and photographed our wedding in February 2024. Both times Dan made us feel so at ease and made all of the picture taking time very enjoyable. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day and we could not be happier that we picked Dan (note that his assistant on our wedding day was also fantastic). I can't say enough nice things about how great it was to work with Dan for our December 2023 wedding at Willowdale Estate! He was extremely professional and organized while also being such a kind and calming presence throughout an extremely hectic day. After our initial meeting with Dan, we knew we had nothing to worry about on our wedding day. We feel so incredibly fortunate that we found Dan for our wedding day. He was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process - from the very moment we reached out to him until he emailed our pictures, and everything in between. You captured both our engagement session in our former home (North End, Boston) and our wedding day in a very special place to us (York, Maine) in such amazing, emotion-filled, beautiful images. When we were originally looking for a wedding photographer, we saw one of Dan's albums he did at our venue and knew immediately we wanted to work with him - his images look genuine and not over-filtered or corrected, while also having a perfect glow and warmness to them. The albums tell a story of the day with many candids while also capturing all the necessary family portraits for posterity. Beyond the photos, Dan was the most down-to-earth, reassuring vendor - he listened to all of our questions, formed a plan but reminded us to remain flexible, and was friendly and efficient in communication. In person, Dan is warm, genuine, funny, and the person you pick to follow you around on your wedding day capturing every moment :) We had MANY guests both the day of and afterwards comment about how great our photographer was. Dan's photos are well worth waiting for, but he doesn't even make you wait! I had the pleasure of first working with Dan for my sisters wedding back in 2018 so when I got engaged I immediately put Dan at the top of my vendor list! He is INCREDIBLY talented and so so patient. Our family and wedding party could be a bit tough to wrangle and Dan took it all in stride! Dan. Is. The. Best. This review isn't really necessary at all because Dan's photos speak for themselves. All of our engagement photos and wedding photos are absolutely stunning. From our very first call with Dan, we knew that he was the photographer for us. Dan is fun, professional, and incredibly quick to turn around photos. He was very detail oriented and thoughtful throughout the entire prep process. Dan and his assistant, Michaela, were nothing, but wonderful on the day of our wedding. Dan was very helpful and accommodating of whatever the day through at us (rain during our first look, a million different photo requests, a rowdy dance floor, etc.). We can't stress enough how happy we are that Dan was our wedding photographer. He (and his 2nd, Hayley) were everything you could want in a wedding photographer - knowledgeable, professional, courteous, punctual, friendly, and easy to work with. Dan exceeded all expectations we had for how our photos would turn out! I found Dan based on a referral from a friend - I had been impressed with the pictures he had done for her wedding I knew he would be perfect for mine. My husband and I did an engagement session with him and we were absolutely blown away! He took the time to ask about us and make us feel comfortable. When it came to the wedding day we already knew Dan and it made it that make more comfortable and relaxing! Our photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined! Dan, from the first time we reached out to him, was 100% perfection. My (new) husband and I are not super comfortbale in front of a camera, but wanted really great photos to remember our big day, and Dan was the perfect photographer to help with both of those! I'm very late in writing this review, but I couldn't let it go unsaid - Dan is an incredible photographer and if there's one you need to do right away it's to hire him! Seriously, stop looking now. We loved all the work we saw before the wedding and knew that we'd have the our own beautiful pictures to remember the day by. What we didn't know is that we would get someone who, from the first meeting, would make both of us feel so at ease and confident in who we were hiring. He is a complete professional who is thorough and prepared, on time, efficient, and totally nailed the flow of the day. A HUGE bonus is Dan's personality! He's warm, upbeat, and so much fun... he kept me smiling even through the nerve wracking moments. We were pretty sure that Dan was going to knock it out of the park after he was recommended by our close friends who had incredible wedding photos. However, he managed to exceed our high expectations. Dan & Jason were both kind, genuine, fun, and made us so comfortable during our first look. Dan is truly a pro at making you slow down and appreciate the moment and each other during wedding portraits, and somehow managed to make time feel like it moved a little slower on the fastest day ever. Oh yeah-our wedding photos (that we got back unbelievably fast) are beyond amazing and I love them more every time I go through them. My only problem with the pictures is that I can’t pick a favorite one to share because I have about 180 favorites.

Dan was one of the best parts of our wedding, we feel grateful we were able to work with him on our big day. "Wow" is all I can say about Dan. From the moment we booked him, he was available to answer our questions, help us plan, and just generally put our minds at ease. We knew that once the wedding day arrived, we wouldn't have to worry about anything. He and his associate Michaela showed up to our hotel right on time and got to work! They were fun, kind, and really put our wedding party at ease. Having a photographer around and being asked to pose for photos can be stressful and embarrassing for some people - but Dan and Michaela absolutely made us all feel comfortable and made us laugh to keep the mood light and fun. And let's not forget the photos -- Two days after our wedding, Dan sent us three "teaser" photos. He knew were so excited to see the pics, he wanted to give us something to hold us over until the full album was ready. The first three pics made us cry and we were so happy with them. Choosing Dan Aguirre to handle our wedding photography was one of my now-wife’s and my best decisions as we planned our big day. It was an easy enough choice to reach out to him after finding his beautiful galleries online, and during our first phone call with Dan, it was immediately clear that he was a seasoned pro who was prepared to be adaptable, amenable, and organized every step of the way. Being the focus of the lens doesn’t come naturally to my wife and me in the first place, and feels even stranger when asked to pose romantically, but Dan has that crucial ability to bring fun and lightheartedness to uncomfortable situations without overdoing it. We had the absolute best experience with Dan and his team! He made our wedding day so easy, relaxing and fun. He is organized and has great attention to detail. He is such a pro! Dan was recommended to us by friends that had worked with him previously, and we couldn’t have been happier. Pre-planning our wedding from 3000 miles away wasn’t the easiest. By the time we finally met up with Dan for an engagement session just days before our wedding, it felt easy and familiar. He had some fun icebreakers to help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. We also leaned the tricks he’d use to help generate those perfect moments on the big day, and some of the things we could do to help prepare for what was to come. It was well worth the extra time to do this. The day of the wedding, Dan and his assistant Michaela had the day well planned. We had discussed shots and locations, schedules, etc., in advance but leaving some room for spontaneity. Our guests complimented how great they were as well, capturing the moments of the day without being intrusive. We had a very unique entrance to our reception, by boat. It was only towards the end of our time out on Newport Harbor we learned Dan didn’t really like boats! He was a total pro through it all and his efforts paid off with some great photos. We appreciate him working through the details with other vendors to coordinate that very Titanic entrance. In the end, we were so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Dan. Our pictures captured the day perfectly. He made the process easy; structured enough but casual too, and was just great experience.

We are so happy to have hired Dan for our wedding! The photos are absolutely beautiful (and he got them back to us so quickly!). From planning to the day of to getting us the photos back, Dan and his team were fantastic to work with. He made my husband and me so comfortable when he was taking pictures. We laughed so much which helped make our pictures capture our love for each other. The candid photos were also incredible. My bridesmaids and the groomsmen kept on commenting on how awesome Dan and his associate were to work with as well. We worked with Dan for our engagement and wedding photos. From the moment we met Dan, we knew he was the one for us! Dan immediately put us at ease during our engagement shoot, making us feel super comfortable and natural in front of the camera, so we were very excited to work with him again for the wedding. Dan is an absolute gem of a human to have in your entourage of people who support you on your wedding day. Dan’s assistant photographer on the day-of was really amazing as well! (She took a lot of shots of our dog which we appreciated greatly). From the get-go- Dan made my husband and I so comfortable with the entire process. I had not been to many weddings and the whole “timeline of events” was a bit stressful to me. In the planning stage, Dan spoke with us and gave us excellent suggestions about what photos to take and when they might happen. This conversation really helped me visualize what the day would look like and it set my mind at ease. The wedding day was a whirlwind of a million things happening at once. Dan arrived early, “went with the flow”, asked us questions to bring a smile to our faces, and did tons of little things to help out that I’m sure were outside the realm of things your typical wedding photographer. For example- he offered to pin the boutonniere on our groomsmen and also found a really amazing spot to hang my dress! Lastly, I would just like to highlight the artistry that Dan brings. His shots are drop-dead gorgeous- from the amazing photos of my veil cascading around me to capturing the subtle and touching moments of my husband and I during our “first look”. Dan has an amazing eye for detail and is able to so beautifully capture the emotion of his subjects as well as the landscape. Having these photos provide us with an amazing archive to relive our day over and over again. We cannot be happier with his work!

Dan did our engagement and wedding photos and we cannot recommend him highly enough! In the months and days leading up to each event, Dan was incredibly organized and a good communicator, so we knew what to expect and how to prepare. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge when it comes to the ceremony and reception flow and order of events, so was able to provide some helpful and welcomed advice. He was also always on time (or ahead of time) with the deadlines he promised to share photos. This goes a long way towards helping to put a type A person like myself at ease. He helped to calm nerves the day of the wedding, gracefully rolled with last minute changes, and ensured that all of the family photos, couples photos, and group photos went seamlessly in a way that didn’t feel disruptive to the event. We got lots of compliments from family and friends about how friendly, professional, and overall wonderful both Dan and his assistant were to work with. They captured our wedding in an authentic and special way and we love our photos. Dan is a blast to work with and we are very grateful we found him!

Dan was simply the best. We booked Dan in 2019 for a fall 2020 wedding. After 2 COVID postponements, we finally had our dream wedding in May 2022. Dan was amazingly flexible and responsive throughout the planning process. He and his associate Liz made us feel incredibly at ease and took amazing photos of both of us getting ready, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Dan delivered our final photos less than two weeks after the wedding date and we couldn't be happier!

Dan and Kayla were awesome to work with! He took the time to meet with us in person before the wedding to get to know us and made our whole experience fun and comfortable. The pictures came out beautifully! Leading up to the wedding i was nervous about timing because we had such a large wedding party but Dan was very good about getting our wedding party together and getting the photos done in timely manner. He made the whole experience fun and I could not have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend him!

Dan is nothing short of incredible! My husband and I first worked with him for our engagement session last year and had a great experience. From the moment we had our first meeting with Dan we knew he was going to be a perfect fit to capture our big day. His warm personality puts you instantly at ease, and he had every detail covered. I cannot stress enough how amazing it was to work with Dan and his team! My sister chose Dan for her 2016 wedding, and when it came time for my own, Dan was my first pick. The photography for our wedding was so important to us, and we are so happy we chose Dan. He made the whole experience so fun and memorable. Working with Dan was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Dan took the time to meet with us prior to our wedding to discuss logistics, to make sure that he understood our family dynamics, and to determine what special wedding details were most important for us to have photographed. I wasn’t expecting him to take some much time with us before the wedding, and greatly appreciated him doing this. On our wedding day itself, Dan and his assistant did an amazing job! We’re typically very shy when it comes to having our photos taken, but working with them felt so natural and stress-free that we were able to completely relax and enjoy the photoshoots. They seamlessly incorporated themselves into our wedding - they were present to capture all the important moments without ever disrupting the flow of the day. We were blown away by all the photos, which beautifully highlighted the joy we felt throughout our wedding day. The collection of photos is a perfect mix of romantic, touching photos and some silly, fun photos. We were also impressed by the very quick turn-around time on getting the photos back and the sheer number of incredible photos that we could share with our family and download in high resolution for free from Dan’s site. All of our family members have reached out to us since the wedding saying how enjoyable it was working with Dan, and how much they LOVE the photos. Overall, we had such a blast with Dan and his assistant and we can’t recommend them enough!

My husband and I had an amazing experience working with Dan. We booked him for our original wedding date of 3/28/2020, which understandably had to be rescheduled twice until we finally had the reception on 4/2/2022. Leading up to the original date, Dan was a pleasure to work with; he helped us through the process and was very communicative. As someone who has never had to do this before, he helped us understand the process and made sure that we wouldn't miss any of the pictures we wanted to take. He asked a ton of great questions that I would've never thought about to make sure that the day went smoothly and that he would capture everything that we wanted. As we navigated the rescheduling, Dan was incredibly flexible, understanding, and stuck with us, making it as easy as possible for us. 4/2 went off perfectly, in great part thanks to Dan and his associate. They arrived at the hotel at the scheduled time. When we arrived at the venue early for first looks/portraits/wedding party pictures, he kept us on schedule. We got a ton of great pictures around the venue but also ended in time to join for nearly all of cocktail hour (we skipped the ceremony since we married on our original date). Throughout the night, he and his associate captured absolutely everything, from cutting the cake to dancing. In under two weeks, we got access to our pictures and they were all wonderful. And this is all without even mentioning how great of a person Dan was! He was incredibly charming and personable. We had met a few times for planning meetings, but it was like talking to an old friend. Neither my husband nor I are really "picture" people, but he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He got so many good portraits, and I'm so excited to have his pictures to remember the day by. Overall, I highly recommend Dan to anyone getting married in the Greater Boston area. He made our day so special and perfect!

Dan was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! We couldn't have chosen a better photographer for our wedding- everyone LOVED him and couldn't stop talking about him! They still can't! We had a winter wedding, so it was freeeeezing outside during our photos. Dan and his second shooter braved the elements with us and delivered fantastical snowy photos. We knew Dan already from our engagement session - so it was wonderful having him back for our wedding. He is super easy to get along with, made everyone feel instantly at ease, kept us on pace our entire day, and was always willing to go the extra mile.
