t days before our wedding, it felt easy and familiar. He had some fun icebreakers to help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. We also leaned the tricks he’d use to help generate those perfect moments on the big day, and some of the things we could do to help prepare for what was to come. It was well worth the extra time to do this. The day of the wedding, Dan and his assistant Michaela had the day well planned. We had discussed shots and locations, schedules, etc., in advance but leaving some room for spontaneity. Our guests complimented how great they were as well, capturing the moments of the day without being intrusive. We had a very unique entrance to our reception, by boat. It was only towards the end of our time out on Newport Harbor we learned Dan didn’t really like boats! He was a total pro through it all and his efforts paid off with some great photos. We appreciate him working through the details with other vendors to coordinate that very Titanic entrance. In the end, we were so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Dan. Our pictures captured the day perfectly. He made the process easy; structured enough but casual too, and was just great experience.

From the get-go- Dan made my husband and I so comfortable with the entire process. I had not been to many weddings and the whole “timeline of events” was a bit stressful to me. In the planning stage, Dan spoke with us and gave us excellent suggestions about what photos to take and when they might happen. This conversation really helped me visualize what the day would look like and it set my mind at ease. The wedding day was a whirlwind of a million things happening at once. Dan arrived early, “went with the flow”, asked us questions to bring a smile to our faces, and did tons of little things to help out that I’m sure were outside the realm of things your typical wedding photographer. For example- he offered to pin the boutonniere on our groomsmen and also found a really amazing spot to hang my dress! Lastly, I would just like to highlight the artistry that Dan brings. His shots are drop-dead gorgeous- from the amazing photos of my veil cascading around me to capturing the subtle and touching moments of my husband and I during our “first look”. Dan has an amazing eye for detail and is able to so beautifully capture the emotion of his subjects as well as the landscape. Having these photos provide us with an amazing archive to relive our day over and over again. We cannot be happier with his work!

He was also always on time (or ahead of time) with the deadlines he promised to share photos. This goes a long way towards helping to put a type A person like myself at ease. On our wedding day itself, Dan and his assistant did an amazing job! We’re typically very shy when it comes to having our photos taken, but working with them felt so natural and stress-free that we were able to completely relax and enjoy the photoshoots. They seamlessly incorporated themselves into our wedding - they were present to capture all the important moments without ever disrupting the flow of the day. We were blown away by all the photos, which beautifully highlighted the joy we felt throughout our wedding day. The collection of photos is a perfect mix of romantic, touching photos and some silly, fun photos. We were also impressed by the very quick turn-around time on getting the photos back and the sheer number of incredible photos that we could share with our family and download in high resolution for free from Dan’s site. All of our family members have reached out to us since the wedding saying how enjoyable it was working with Dan, and how much they LOVE the photos. Overall, we had such a blast with Dan and his assistant and we can’t recommend them enough!

date, Dan was a pleasure to work with; he helped us through the process and was very communicative. As someone who has never had to do this before, he helped us understand the process and made sure that we wouldn't miss any of the pictures we wanted to take. He asked a ton of great questions that I would've never thought about to make sure that the day went smoothly and that he would capture everything that we wanted. As we navigated the rescheduling, Dan was incredibly flexible, understanding, and stuck with us, making it as easy as possible for us. 4/2 went off perfectly, in great part thanks to Dan and his associate. They arrived at the hotel at the scheduled time. When we arrived at the venue early for first looks/portraits/wedding party pictures, he kept us on schedule. We got a ton of great pictures around the venue but also ended in time to join for nearly all of cocktail hour (we skipped the ceremony since we married on our original date). Throughout the night, he and his associate captured absolutely everything, from cutting the cake to dancing. In under two weeks, we got access to our pictures and they were all wonderful. And this is all without even mentioning how great of a person Dan was! He was incredibly charming and personable. We had met a few times for planning meetings, but it was like talking to an old friend. Neither my husband nor I are really "picture" people, but he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He got so many good portraits, and I'm so excited to have his pictures to remember the day by. Overall, I highly recommend Dan to anyone getting married in the Greater Boston area. He made our day so special and perfect!

Dan and his second shooter braved the elements with us and delivered fantastical snowy photos. We knew Dan already from our engagement session - so it was wonderful having him back for our wedding. Throughout the process of postponing, he was super flexible and understanding, and we are so grateful. date. One of the best things about booking Dan is that he will arrive when you want him to, and he will stay until he feels like he's gotten all the photos he needs at the reception. I didn't have to worry or stress about which window of time I would need a photographer most or stressing about paying by the hour. From the beginning he was so involved and responsive in the planning process (and the replanning process- thanks COVID) Throughout all the stress of scaling down our wedding to a backyard reception, Dan was so calm and helpful and kept reminding me that he has been involved in the replanning of a ton of weddings and I had nothing to worry about. The day of our wedding Dan was an absolute rock star. He was such a calming presence throughout the day and so much fun to be around- exactly what you want on your wedding day! He has such a positive attitude and had so much advice to give. There were some stressful moments when getting ready took longer than expected- but Dan kept reassuring me that everything was going to be fine- and it was. Everyone was very impressed with Dan when it came to formal photos- we had created a list before hand and he took all the photos I wanted so quick and efficiently, without ever seeming like he was rushing. For the photos of just my husband and I, Dan made it so much fun and it didn't even feel like we were taking photos. I was so cold with all the wind on the beach but Dan did an amazing job at trying to distract us from the cold and keep us laughing. Dan was absolutely one of our favorite wedding vendors, and he was a huge part of us having a perfect day. He also got all the photos to us in less than 2 weeks- and they are amazing!! Every photo is beautiful and he captured so many little moments behind the scenes that weren't posed. To have these moments captured on film is truly special. ere canceled due to Covid. Then, our July 19 wedding was also canceled. In 2 months time we postponed a wedding and decided to have a micro wedding in my parents backyard instead. Upon reaching out to Dan he was so understanding and accommodating. He offered to use our canceled engagement shoot for our micro wedding. The week before the wedding, Dan reached out to us to confirm all details and ask about a shotlist we wanted to include for the day. We gave Dan very little direction because we were planning this last minute and super stressed out. On the day of, Dan got right to work taking photos. When it was time for the ceremony, he knew right where to go to get the best shots and angles. After our ceremony, Dan took our family to get some shots. He commanded our families better than I have ever seen and knew exactly what he was doing. Once it was just me, my husband and Dan taking photos, he was incredible. He knew how to get us to laugh, feel comfortable, "look" in love, and really pose candidly to get the best shots. He also had a plan so quickly after never being at my parents house before. I almost felt like I was at HIS house the way he was taking us around. When Dan left, we both raved about how amazing he was. I honestly didn't think it could get ANY better, but then he sent us the photos. OMG. They are incredible. Honestly you probably won't even read this entire review, so TLDR: GO TO HIS INSTAGRAM AND LOOK AT HIS PICTURES. How does someone even get photos so beautiful???? Long story short, Dan is INCREDIBLE at what he does as a photographer, but an even better human being. Those two things together make for some amazing photos. We absolutely cannot wait for our "real" wedding next year so we can work with Dan again and get some more amazing photos. Highly highly highly recommend. Thank you, Dan!!

suggestions when we had no idea what we were doing (which was often!). It felt like he got a great feel of us as a couple right away and was able to recommend pictures that were perfect for us. He has a great eye for the best shots - even if the shot involves the bride walking through snow, he will at least suggest it! (I said why not, and we LOVE the photo). Throughout the wedding, Dan managed to capture just about every guest in some capacity, yet he blended into the crowd so well that you never really knew he was around - until you wanted a picture taken, and he would appear immediately, seemingly out of nowhere to capture the moment. We could not be happier with our wedding photos (and engagement shoot photos! - highly recommended), and we would recommend Dan to anyone!

My now-husband and I have never been in front of a camera and felt pretty awkward (we didn't even do engagement photos) but the day-of Dan had us feeling at ease and smiling (real smiles, not fake ones) the whole time. He also was great at directing us when there was a stray hair, or our arms looked awkward, AND would run over to me if the dress needed a little "zhooshing" (sp?) while shooting so that we wouldn't look back and think "why are my hands so awkward" or "my dress looks wrinkled". Dan felt more like a guest than a vendor and we couldn't be happier with how our photos came out. Not only is he an amazing photographer but reasonably priced, detailed, had a quick turnaround on photos, and is an all-around wonderful human!

As for the day of experience with Dan and his assistant - it could not have gone better. He was prompt and had us done with our first look and wedding party/family pictures exactly as we had planned so there was no rushing last minute. My husband and I are not PDA people and he was great at making us feel like we weren’t doing a photo shoot, but soaking in our wedding day, so the pictures came out great. Not awkwardly posed or anything like that. Dan did an amazing job capturing our wedding day and not only are we pleased, but our friends and family also can’t stop commenting on how great the pictures came out!

a day that's filled with a lot of emotion. We worked with him 1 year before our big day starting with a rehearsal shoot. He drove 90 min to the town where I grew up in RI to do a photoshoot at sunset on the beach. The pictures came out amazing and he worked his magic at making us feel relaxed and comfortable (most people aren't used to kissing/being romantic with a photographer right in front of them). With Dan it was fun and felt natural. I highly recommend an engagement shoot to help get comfortable with your photographer. Leading up to the wedding Dan was available anytime I had questions or stresses about the big day, he helped me put together my day of agenda to make sure we had time for fun getting ready pictures, and first look pictures. They day of the wedding when Dan came to the bridal suite for getting ready pictures, my stress started to melt away. He took the reins to make sure my stationary, rings, shoes, etc. were photographed. He even helped me secure my grandmother's heirlooms around the bouquet! Dan and his assistant photographer took my fiance and I for our first look photos in 2 separate cars so we didn't have to worry about seeing one another ahead of time. Dan made sure to help me in and out of the car each time and I honestly felt so relaxed. He also made sure we were on time to each spot in our agenda that day. Dan is extremely organized, and when we first met he came prepared to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. At the first meeting, he shared advice to make sure we were prepared for common hiccups on our wedding day. He also sent us pictures from a previous wedding that was hosted in the hotel we booked, so that we could get a feel for the space. He had tips for the ladies getting ready, umbrellas, ideas for fun shots, and thought of many other details to make sure everything went smoothly. On our wedding day, he was absolutely perfect! Above and beyond all the pictures he was taking, he was working to make sure we were on schedule, coordinating with the planners and caterers, and generally keeping us at ease. He was never in the way but always in control, and he worked well with our videographer. He is very professional and made the process very comfortable for everyone. He was very prompt in responding to our emails throughout the process, and we started getting pictures back while still on our honeymoon. We absolutely love our pictures and we would highly recommend him for your wedding day! We can’t say enough wonderful things about Dan, and we would plan to work with him again in the future if we have another special event.

well. I knew I would love his photos after looking his portfolio, but to see our wedding photos after the day was amazing--he perfectly captured every emotion in a simple and classic way. I also have to give him a shout out for our February engagement photos that we decided to take on a foggy day on the water with minimal visibility--somehow he managed to make those beautiful even with us freezing! In addition, Dan was a great person to work with leading up to the wedding day--he makes himself accessible by phone or email and is very responsive to questions. Dan knows weddings, he is a professional, he carried my dress around when my husband couldn’t figure out how to hold it and he bustled my dress when my Maid of Honor was MIA (seriously, he does it all)!!! Dan and Katie stayed the entire night, captured the epic dance party and sent us a large number of photos as a ‘teaser’ just a few days after the wedding. All are photos are amazing, and something we will treasure forever.
