so unbelievably beautiful multiple people have said they belong in a magazine or on a billboard as an advertisement. I interviewed three of my top choices for a photographer before I chose which to hire. Dan met me at Easton to talk/see some of his work and I picked him because of his talent, approachable manner and reserved nature. I hired Dan to capture a brunch I hosted for my bridesmaids, our engagement photos, my bridal shower and obviously our wedding. I BEG you to look at his Facebook page to see what you're going to get. Our wedding photos brought us to tears the first time we saw them. Dan will make you feel like you are the ONLY bride he's working with - he is accommodating and will absolutely capture the most beautiful moments of your wedding day. There were moments between my sweet husband and me during the wedding I didn't expect to relive but Dan captured them! I could cry just talking about Dan. He means so much to me because his work is so beautiful. You truly get what you pay for in wedding photography. Dan is an ARTIST - I would've paid double and waited twice as long for our photos (which wasn't a long wait considering how busy he is and how spectacular the product is). My husband and I are always asked if we're sad the wedding is over and we ALWAYS say the only thing we're sad about is not seeing Dan & his team anymore. We love Dan Buckley!

that since Dan did such an incredible job overall we had to make sure others knew what they will be getting from such a talented photographer! If you're reading this review you won't need to waste your time researching other photographers in Ohio because after we researched a dozen photographers we knew Dan was the perfect fit for our wedding. First, some background. We were actually coming INTO Ohio from Arizona for our wedding (we are both from Ohio) and we needed someone available and willing to drive about 2 hours to our location to the bride's family's hometown close to Athens, OH. While I'm sure there are quite a few talented photographers in the Columbus and surrounding area, a few of them we talked to were NOT willing to make the drive for our wedding which worked out on in our favor! We both had some amateurish experience with photography so we had a pretty basic idea of what we were looking for and since we had a smaller wedding we wanted to keep our budget low without sacrificing quality. You can always pay someone about $500 to shoot your wedding, but their experience with lighting/exposure/positioning and editing may be quite limited. Once you see Dan's photos, you know he's talented and can make sure you receive quality! Our needs which Dan met 10/10! - Communication. Bride and Groom are both type A communicators and we needed a photographer who could keep up communication since we were both out of state and only chatted with Dan via email and Skype meetings. - Professionalism. We wanted a more young photographer that cared but wasn't sloppy. Dan is clean, smooth and very easy to work with. Thumbs up! - We wanted a photo-journalistic style, which means the photos tell a story and they are captured in the true moment without so many "poses" - We wanted a relatively flexible budget and Dan was very flexible with us knowing our needs, time frame and his availability (WHEW) - We wanted someone who is an expert at lighting since we were going to be outdoors. This is very important when looking for the right photographer for your wedding. Lighting is everything! - We wanted someone who could direct people well enough since most people are not professional models and don't know how to position themselves, so you need someone who is solid enough to tell people what to do. Dan was able to capture the right moments at the right time and we loved pretty much every single photo we received. A wedding is moment in time, however the photos we have are timeless. Dan and his team did an incredible job and we were very appreciative of his work with us and our family. Matter of fact, after we received our photos we have had some friends that are preparing their weddings share that they would be willing to fly Dan our to Arizona for their weddings! He more than delivered the editorial style of photos we wanted, while also capturing all of the normal "wedding moments". The perfect mix! We did the engagement session with Dan, which was a great way for him to get to know us and our comfort levels w/ the camera. On our wedding day, we met Megan - it is incredible how well Dan & Megan work together. It is clear that they have been working together a long time and balance each other perfectly. Dan & Megan were not in our face throughout the day, which was great…and they still ended up capturing every little moment!

On our wedding day, we had both Dan and his assistant, Megan. That was my first time meeting her and was beyond happy with how well her and Dan worked together. The two did an amazing job of capturing the whole day. I was worried about not hiring a videographer, but after looking through all of my pictures, I am fine with not having it. They truly did not miss a thing and I have my whole wedding day documented in still shots that I will cherish forever. When you are planning a wedding, having less to worry about is important. With Dan, we always knew that the photography side of things was in great hands. He always replied to email/phone queries quickly and informatively. He really worked with us to get to know "us" but also to understand the types of photos that we wanted. On the day, Dan and his assistant Megan were never intrusive (I didn't even notice them most of the time!) but they still managing to capture anything and everything. They were also great in the sense that they kept us organized and on time, which was a great help on the day when a lot is going on! We can't speak highly enough of the photos we received. Everyone has loved them and the compliments just keep on coming. We had so much fun going through the 900 (!) photos we received and reliving the day. When you book a wedding photographer, you really hope that you get great images. You get this with Dan because he is a great photographer- But it's important to know that with Dan, you are not only getting a great photographer, but you are also getting a great guy. Everyone complimented not only the photographs, but also how great Dan & Megan were throughout the day. They even stayed on extra time to capture the party as it went late into the night.
