ves what he does. We came in not knowing much about how our ceremony should go — only that we didn’t want something too traditional — and Dan guided us through the entire process with patience, warmth, and enthusiasm.
He took the time to get to know us as people, not just as clients, and worked hand in hand with us to create a ceremony that felt perfectly us. Every word, every moment, was intentional and meaningful.
But what really stood out was how much he cared about making everything seamless. At our rehearsal, Dan arrived early and, with the coordinator’s blessing, took charge in the best possible way. He walked us through every single detail — who moves when, where to stand, when to face each other — even giving us simple physical cues like, “I’ll touch your shoulder to let you know when to move.” It made everything so easy and stress-free.
On the wedding day, he was just as incredible. Dan was fully aware of how our photographers and videographers worked and made sure we always had the perfect angles, gently stepping aside during key moments so the focus stayed on us. It’s such a small thing, but it made a huge difference.

Day of the wedding, he came early and interacted with our family/bridal party, all of who commented after the fact on how much he felt part of our family. He reminded us constantly that the ceremony was for us, and we listened to each word intently - almost forgetting anyone else was there. It was very special, and evidently clear he's been a part of many weddings. He also honored my husband's late parents in such a beautiful way. We are extremely happy that Dan was the one to pronounce us husband and wife!

It truly felt like he was a lifelong friend at the ceremony, and we had many family members ask us afterwards how long we've known him because they assumed it had been forever! d he knew us for years. Dan has most of what he presents memorized, and when we gave him a special reading to make, you could tell he reviewed it beforehand because he delivered it with the same passion and grace as the others.
He addressed both me as well as my now Husband, made our guests feel as if they were a special part of the process, handed me a tissue discreetly when my now husband was reading his vows, and even went one on one with a bee that kept flying in my face!
I truly can not recommend Dan enough. He was one of the reasons our day was so special. And, he is the only person I have seen step aside when he pronounced us husband and wife, so that the photographer and videographer could capture just us.
If you are overwhelmed by the amount of JP’s out there, I urge you to just pick Dan. You won’t be sorry!

Dan was unable to attend our rehearsal...and I think in most other cases this would have been stressful, but for us there was no worry because we knew that Dan would be fully prepared and he sure was! He arrived early to our wedding, introduced himself to our parents/wedding party/other vendors and gave us a run down of what we would expect from him. Even during the ceremony, he was able to engage with all our guests in ways that were so genuine, he helped coach all of us about where to stand, when to walk etc. I think my most FAVORITE thing was that he was so kind enough to stepped out of the way for special photo moments like the exchanging of rings, our vows and during our first kiss!! That was something I personally thought was extremely thoughtful of him - I don't think many officiants think like this. He is so qualified and highly experienced. We've had so many guests rave about how beautiful our ceremony was and we have Dan to thank for that!!

He has such a great personality and his body language really captured our guests attention, making the ceremony that much more moving and personal. We are still receiving compliments about him and many people are requesting his information for their own upcoming wedding or friends upcoming wedding. I really think a JP can make or break a wedding ceremony, and it is nice knowing ours was so memorable due to Dan. From there, I knew he was going to be quick, direct and sweet. We knew he was going to be great - but were pleasantly surprised by what a spectacular officiant he was. Everyone (and I mean everyone!) raved and raved about how amazing Dan Griffiths was. My sister (the matron of honor) said that she found herself nodding along to what he were saying about marriage and love. Both of our parents appreciated the parent-tribute portion of the ceremony. My brothers all loved the shout out to those who couldn't be with us that day.

He has a great feel for what a ceremony needs, but was also completely open to trying a new format for our ceremony that was really important to me. He also made a major effort to be flexible to meet with us for a quick rehearsal and came all the way to Boston so we could practice even with our busy schedule.
