Dan McGuire Group

Dan McGuire Group was INCREDIBLE at our wedding in July 2023! We could not recommend them more. To start out, DMG's planning process prior to the wedding was great. They have a very easy, intuitive planning form that you fill out with all your song choices, requests, music genres, etc. It also includes a timeline which helped keep our wedding night on track! A few weeks before our wedding we had a meeting with the team to discuss our planning form/music choices and they knocked it out of the park. We wanted more 90s music/rock/jams, and they absolutely listened to us and delivered. We had Jay Crawford as our DJ/MC and he was amazing at keeping the dance floor completely full the entire night. I loved having a live band and a DJ, it was a great mix for all types of music. So many people complimented the band and said it was the best band for a wedding that they've ever been to. DMG learned 3 new songs for us and they were amazing. We added the cocktail trio during our cocktail hour and it was perfect music and vibe for the cocktail hour. We also had a few "unconventional" wedding song requests (lots of rock music lovers in our families) and they did a great job playing everything we wanted. I didn't sit down once! Overall, DMG and Jay were professional, incredibly talented musicians, and great to work with. I would absolutely recommend hiring them for your wedding or next event. The Dan McGuire Group was incredible and completely blew away our expectations. Jon and Dan were very prompt and professional in all of our communication from booking to the wedding day. Our guests could not stop talking about how talented the band was. Their sound and range was better than many 12+ piece bands we have heard. The dance floor was packed all night even during the dj breaks. The acoustic music during cocktail hour was also a unique touch that everyone enjoyed. Our wedding reception was the best night of our lives thanks to this band and we could not recommend them more highly!

We had the Dan McGuire Group play at our December 2022 wedding and they were absolutely spectacular. They started off the night during our cocktail hour with one of the band members playing classical music on a baby grand piano, and they ended the night playing Hey Jude that had all our guests out on the dance floor singing along. Their song selection was excellent - the perfect variety that kept our guests dancing the entire night (I personally don't think I left the dance floor once). Several of our guests said DMG was the highlight of the entire event. Not to mention they were fabulous to work with leading up to the big day, incredibly responsive, professional and just a pleasure to work with. We cannot recommend them enough!

Dan, Jon, and the band are incredible professionals. The band plays a wide range of songs and have amazing energy! Our guests commented about how great the band was and how fun the wedding was overall. If you want a great event book DMG! The best part about DMG is that you get a band and a DJ which makes for a seamless reception. Jon organizes all the dances, intros, fun stuff while Dan and the band play great music. It really is the best of both worlds! The band learned multiple songs for us including a song dedicated to my wife's father. It was a special moment for my wife and her siblings to hear and dance along to their dad's favorite song. I can't thank the band enough for making that happen. In addition to the band playing the reception, we also booked DMG to play and mic the ceremony and play during the cocktail hour. Both add-ons were well worth it and we highly recommend adding those to your day. Jon and Dan are extremely responsive, helpful, and flexible to make your wedding a special day. It was extremely easy to work with DMG and they were one of the most memorable parts to our day. They also bring a list of fun ideas for the reception including the Photo Challenge which we did and it was super fun as well as resulted in a ton of great pictures with our entire group of guests. Overall, they are outstanding and great value! Plan your wedding date so you can book DMG!

I cannot recommend DMG enough! Not only do they give you the option of an amazing band but also a top notch DJ/MC. You truly get the best of both worlds. The entire team conducts themselves with the utmost professionalism and makes every attempt to bring your wedding vision to life. For those that dont have every detail of their wedding already planned on their Pinterest boards, these guys are also perfect. I let Danny take the reins on song choice and he absolutely crushed it! I am not lying when I say that the dance floor was packed from the time we finished our parent dances to the very last song of the evening. He is a true master of choosing songs based off of the crowds energy and vibe, which is such a stress reliever. We received so many compliments from our guests and the experience was nothing like any other wedding I have been to!

Major thanks to Jon and Dan for helping to make our wedding day extremely special. They kept us organized, involved us in some real-time schedule changes to get the party started faster, incorporated our music selections and preferences, etc. People raved about Dan playing our ceremony and cocktail hour and we received so much positive feedback about Jon's energy and how he was able to engage our family and friends to get them dancing. Friends of ours had recommended DMG after their own great experience working with them in 2020 and I'm so glad we went with them after having initial conversations with a number of different groups. Look no further - these guys are great!

Dan McGuire and his band and their accompanying DJ, Adam Halliday were an absolute pleasure to work with. From step one, they were easy to get in contact with, prompt with all of our questions, and made us feel comfortable about having them be a part of our big day. All of the professionalism aside, these guys know how to play. We had a huge list of songs to choose from, and our guests loved it when we told them we were having a live band. Definitely a difference maker and one of the parts of our wedding I'll remember forever. Thanks guys!

HIRE HIRE HIRE! This band is hands down the best when it comes to keeping the party going. They provide ceremony mics and upgraded sound systems. They even learn songs for your special day! From the first time I contact them, they are super responsive and helpful when it comes to timelines! They even have options for photo booths! The best part is they send you all the photos that were taken which gives a great buffer while waiting for the photographers photos. Don’t walk run to hire them! Thanks again!

It was a pleasure working with the Dan McGuire Group. From the initial phone call to the final call weeks before our April 2022 wedding, they were professional and incredibly accommodating. We had Dan McGuire playing acoustic guitar during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and our first dance. He truly helped create the ambiance we were looking for, even learning our first dance song. Adam Halliday was our emcee and DJ and did a great job keeping the evening moving and fun, playing a great variety of music that any generation enjoyed. Thanks to the team for being such a wonderful and memorable part of our day!

You should hire the Dan McGuire Group. My husband and I were struggling with the music for our wedding. We wanted a live band, but we’re big rock fans and didn’t want a ton of stereotypical “wedding” music. I’m also a musician and needed to have a talented group. We were about to give up and just get a DJ when we found DMG. Even if rock music isn’t your thing, I highly recommend DMG. They were a highlight of the entire event; people couldn’t stop talking about how good they were and how much fun everyone was having. I’m still getting compliments when I see people months later. It was really important to me to have a wedding where people got up and danced. I wanted people to get together and let loose and that is exactly what happened. DMG was really great at reading the room and with creating a setlist that ebbed and flowed throughout the evening. I’d also be remiss to ignore Adam, who emceed and was DJ during band breaks. All around, we had a wonderful experience, and I don’t have a single complaint.

We got married this past June 2022 and hired DMG to play at our wedding. We originally wanted DMG because they seemed like a genuinely fun group that knew how to get a crowd going (and good music/dancing was a priority for our wedding). They were so easy to work with, professional, and sounded amazing at our wedding. Everyone talked about how much fun they had and our dance floor was hopping throughout the night! We had both the band and DJ, making it a good combo of music selections. We also used their photobooth add on which was a hit and the photos are priceless! We strongly recommend hiring DMG if you're looking for an amazing time!

Jon was an awesome DJ and did an absolutely wonderful job at our wedding. We thought he was extremely easy to work with, super professional and responsive, and just a great guy overall! Dan did acoustic guitar during the ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. I was a little unsatisfied with the song that I walked down the isle to as it didn’t quite sound like the song I wanted, but otherwise we thought he did a great job!

I can't say enough good things about the Dan McGuire Group. We saw them play at a bar a few months before our wedding and decided to extend our reception by 30 more minutes specifically because they were so good. They were completely full service with all of the audio equipment, microphones, speakers, emcee-ing, accent lighting, etc. The number one comment we receive about our wedding was how amazing the band was. I have never been to a wedding where literally everyone danced the entire wedding. I can't imagine a better or easier experience.
