When we got engaged 2 years ago, booking Dan and his team was a no brainer. From the very first meeting, up to our special day, Dan and his team were professional, kind and flexib...
le. Dan played pre-ceremony and cocktail hour and absolutely killed it. Dan and the band kept the dance floor going all night for the reception and Mark (DJ) listened to our every request and delivered smooth transitions and bangers on the dance floor. After our wedding (10/11/25) all our guests could talk about was how awesome the band was! If you want a group who will have all of your guests on their feet book The Dan McGuire Group.
We cannot say enough good things about Dan McGuire Group! Our guests are STILL talking about how great they were, and about how they played songs you don’t always hear at weddings,...
but still songs everyone could dance and sing to, which is exactly what we wanted. They kept everyone on the dance floor all night, and we had so much fun! The entire process leading up to the wedding was also SO easy, and they seamlessly learned 3 new songs for us that weren’t on their list (and wouldn’t be surprised if they now added them to the list because they were such a big hit!). Thank you for making our night so amazing!!! Highly highly recommend.
Super Velvet Band exceeded our expectations for our May 2024 wedding! From the planning stages through our wedding night, everyone was extremely responsive, helpful and made the en...
tire experience fun. They learned specific songs in addition to their extensive song list. Prior to our wedding, we had a chance to see them perform at a local event and which made us even more excited for them to perform at our wedding. They helped us with the timeline and designing our Photo Booth photo printout.
Our wedding night was unforgettable and they played a huge part in that. We cannot recommend them enough!
Super Velvet rocked the house! Thank you Dan McGuire Group for organizing and making sure we had a great band to provide yacht rock and disco vibes. Tyler was an excellent MC who b...
lended recorded and live music throughout the ceremony and reception. They are excellent musicians able to play a variety of musical styles and bring energy to the dance floor. Live music really does set the mood for the entire event in ways that one DJ cannot.
There is absolutely no question that hiring DMG was among the best decisions we made for our wedding. Working with Dan, Adam, and Jon was a joy and so easy, despite all the choices...
involved with selecting wedding music. Leading up to the big day, they were patient and willing to work with us and our venue--where they had never played before--on adhering to sound limitations. We were blown away with their performances on the day-of across the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and so many of our guests were too. We have several friends who are very musically inclined (and who themselves had great bands at their weddings) and they were repeatedly saying on the dance floor how great the band sounded. We are so grateful for all of the preparation and skill from Dan and the team in executing each portion of the evening, and we wish we could've kept dancing for about 5 more hours. We are also so thankful that they stuck around for us to do our private “last dance” even after all our guests left, due to some last minute weather-related adjustments to our exit plan. That moment was so special to close out a spectacular evening. Our experience was EXACTLY what we were hoping to get out of having a live band at our wedding, and we would highly recommend the Dan McGuire Group!!
We can't say enough amazing things about Dan McGuire Group!!! We picked a 4 person live band and added a photo booth for our wedding and we also chose to have an acoustic set for t...
he ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything was PERFECT! The communication was so fast and professional from the start and Jon was so great to work with on the initial planning and photobooth. We were really stressed about picking the music for the wedding and once we met with Dan and Adam for our final planning call we felt like a giant weight was lifted off of us. They were so kind and patient with us and gave us so many great suggestions. They also learned the song we chose for our first dance because we wanted a live version and they KILLED IT! (FYI, Dan, your Hozier voice is amazing)! We cannot thank you enough for everything you did to make our wedding day perfect! You guys had everyone up and dancing and everyone had the best time (we are still getting compliments)!
Dan McGuire Group was amazing and we would recommend them to any friend for their wedding. We heard Dan and the band play at our friends’ wedding and it set a new standard for a go...
od wedding band in our minds because they played so many songs that aren’t just “typical wedding music,” so when it came to our wedding we knew we wanted to hire them. They certainly lived up to our expectations. They had the dance floor full for our entire reception, knew a ton of songs we really like and learned a few that meant a lot to us. They also did a great DJ set while the band took a break, which allowed us to request a wider range of songs. Just as important, they were organized and easy to work with. Thank you DMG!
DMG Group + District DJ (Jon): the best band in town! I see and hear A LOT of bands and DJ’s, because, well, I am at events every week (I work for a catering company). DMG really s...
tood out to me for more than one reason. Of course, their music and sound is unmatched. Dan and his team are incredibly talented and provide all genres of music. They provide an extensive list of music that they know and are willing to learn new songs, too! The second reason I chose DMG is for their friendliness and the way they carry themselves. EVERY event I work with DMG (as a vendor) they have always been so kind and EASY to work with. I truly enjoy their company and the most important part is that they truly care about the bride and groom and truly want them to have the best day ever. People are still asking me who our band was and I am so thankful I chose them! THANK YOU DMG!!!
Dan McGuire Group was INCREDIBLE at our wedding in July 2023! We could not recommend them more. To start out, DMG's planning process prior to the wedding was great. They have a ver...
y easy, intuitive planning form that you fill out with all your song choices, requests, music genres, etc. It also includes a timeline which helped keep our wedding night on track! A few weeks before our wedding we had a meeting with the team to discuss our planning form/music choices and they knocked it out of the park. We wanted more 90s music/rock/jams, and they absolutely listened to us and delivered. We had Jay Crawford as our DJ/MC and he was amazing at keeping the dance floor completely full the entire night. I loved having a live band and a DJ, it was a great mix for all types of music.
So many people complimented the band and said it was the best band for a wedding that they've ever been to. DMG learned 3 new songs for us and they were amazing. We added the cocktail trio during our cocktail hour and it was perfect music and vibe for the cocktail hour. We also had a few "unconventional" wedding song requests (lots of rock music lovers in our families) and they did a great job playing everything we wanted. I didn't sit down once!
Overall, DMG and Jay were professional, incredibly talented musicians, and great to work with. I would absolutely recommend hiring them for your wedding or next event. Thanks so much Dan, Jon, and team!
The Dan McGuire Group was incredible and completely blew away our expectations. Jon and Dan were very prompt and professional in all of our communication from booking to the weddin...
g day. Our guests could not stop talking about how talented the band was. Their sound and range was better than many 12+ piece bands we have heard. The dance floor was packed all night even during the dj breaks. The acoustic music during cocktail hour was also a unique touch that everyone enjoyed. Our wedding reception was the best night of our lives thanks to this band and we could not recommend them more highly!
We had the Dan McGuire Group play at our December 2022 wedding and they were absolutely spectacular. They started off the night during our cocktail hour with one of the band member...
s playing classical music on a baby grand piano, and they ended the night playing Hey Jude that had all our guests out on the dance floor singing along. Their song selection was excellent - the perfect variety that kept our guests dancing the entire night (I personally don't think I left the dance floor once). Several of our guests said DMG was the highlight of the entire event. Not to mention they were fabulous to work with leading up to the big day, incredibly responsive, professional and just a pleasure to work with. We cannot recommend them enough!
Dan, Jon, and the band are incredible professionals. The band plays a wide range of songs and have amazing energy! Our guests commented about how great the band was and how fun the...
wedding was overall. If you want a great event book DMG! The best part about DMG is that you get a band and a DJ which makes for a seamless reception. Jon organizes all the dances, intros, fun stuff while Dan and the band play great music. It really is the best of both worlds!
The band learned multiple songs for us including a song dedicated to my wife's father. It was a special moment for my wife and her siblings to hear and dance along to their dad's favorite song. I can't thank the band enough for making that happen.
In addition to the band playing the reception, we also booked DMG to play and mic the ceremony and play during the cocktail hour. Both add-ons were well worth it and we highly recommend adding those to your day.
Jon and Dan are extremely responsive, helpful, and flexible to make your wedding a special day. It was extremely easy to work with DMG and they were one of the most memorable parts to our day. They also bring a list of fun ideas for the reception including the Photo Challenge which we did and it was super fun as well as resulted in a ton of great pictures with our entire group of guests. Overall, they are outstanding and great value! Plan your wedding date so you can book DMG!
I cannot recommend DMG enough! Not only do they give you the option of an amazing band but also a top notch DJ/MC. You truly get the best of both worlds. The entire team conducts t...
hemselves with the utmost professionalism and makes every attempt to bring your wedding vision to life. For those that dont have every detail of their wedding already planned on their Pinterest boards, these guys are also perfect. I let Danny take the reins on song choice and he absolutely crushed it! I am not lying when I say that the dance floor was packed from the time we finished our parent dances to the very last song of the evening. He is a true master of choosing songs based off of the crowds energy and vibe, which is such a stress reliever. We received so many compliments from our guests and the experience was nothing like any other wedding I have been to!
Major thanks to Jon and Dan for helping to make our wedding day extremely special. They kept us organized, involved us in some real-time schedule changes to get the party started f...
aster, incorporated our music selections and preferences, etc. People raved about Dan playing our ceremony and cocktail hour and we received so much positive feedback about Jon's energy and how he was able to engage our family and friends to get them dancing.
Friends of ours had recommended DMG after their own great experience working with them in 2020 and I'm so glad we went with them after having initial conversations with a number of different groups. Look no further - these guys are great!
Dan McGuire and his band and their accompanying DJ, Adam Halliday were an absolute pleasure to work with. From step one, they were easy to get in contact with, prompt with all of o...
ur questions, and made us feel comfortable about having them be a part of our big day.
All of the professionalism aside, these guys know how to play. We had a huge list of songs to choose from, and our guests loved it when we told them we were having a live band. Definitely a difference maker and one of the parts of our wedding I'll remember forever. Thanks guys!
HIRE HIRE HIRE! This band is hands down the best when it comes to keeping the party going. They provide ceremony mics and upgraded sound systems. They even learn songs for your spe...
cial day! From the first time I contact them, they are super responsive and helpful when it comes to timelines! They even have options for photo booths! The best part is they send you all the photos that were taken which gives a great buffer while waiting for the photographers photos. Don’t walk run to hire them! Thanks again!
It was a pleasure working with the Dan McGuire Group. From the initial phone call to the final call weeks before our April 2022 wedding, they were professional and incredibly accom...
modating. We had Dan McGuire playing acoustic guitar during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and our first dance. He truly helped create the ambiance we were looking for, even learning our first dance song. Adam Halliday was our emcee and DJ and did a great job keeping the evening moving and fun, playing a great variety of music that any generation enjoyed. Thanks to the team for being such a wonderful and memorable part of our day!
You should hire the Dan McGuire Group. My husband and I were struggling with the music for our wedding. We wanted a live band, but we’re big rock fans and didn’t want a ton of ster...
eotypical “wedding” music. I’m also a musician and needed to have a talented group. We were about to give up and just get a DJ when we found DMG.
Even if rock music isn’t your thing, I highly recommend DMG. They were a highlight of the entire event; people couldn’t stop talking about how good they were and how much fun everyone was having. I’m still getting compliments when I see people months later.
It was really important to me to have a wedding where people got up and danced. I wanted people to get together and let loose and that is exactly what happened. DMG was really great at reading the room and with creating a setlist that ebbed and flowed throughout the evening. I’d also be remiss to ignore Adam, who emceed and was DJ during band breaks.
All around, we had a wonderful experience, and I don’t have a single complaint.
We got married this past June 2022 and hired DMG to play at our wedding. We originally wanted DMG because they seemed like a genuinely fun group that knew how to get a crowd going ...
(and good music/dancing was a priority for our wedding). They were so easy to work with, professional, and sounded amazing at our wedding. Everyone talked about how much fun they had and our dance floor was hopping throughout the night! We had both the band and DJ, making it a good combo of music selections. We also used their photobooth add on which was a hit and the photos are priceless! We strongly recommend hiring DMG if you're looking for an amazing time!
Jon was an awesome DJ and did an absolutely wonderful job at our wedding. We thought he was extremely easy to work with, super professional and responsive, and just a great guy ove...
rall! Dan did acoustic guitar during the ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. I was a little unsatisfied with the song that I walked down the isle to as it didn’t quite sound like the song I wanted, but otherwise we thought he did a great job!
I can't say enough good things about the Dan McGuire Group. We saw them play at a bar a few months before our wedding and decided to extend our reception by 30 more minutes specifi...
cally because they were so good. They were completely full service with all of the audio equipment, microphones, speakers, emcee-ing, accent lighting, etc. The number one comment we receive about our wedding was how amazing the band was. I have never been to a wedding where literally everyone danced the entire wedding. I can't imagine a better or easier experience.
