ent in an intimate setting. Many of our guests are music officionados, some are musicians and one is a Rockn'Roll Hall of Fame Board member, so we wanted to make sure that the music was exceptional. We thought it would be difficult to find an artist that could cover the whole gambit of the event: We wanted to start the event with some beautiful, melodic acoustic and then transition to dance music later. We were about to hire two separate bands, and then we found Dan. And we were blown away. Dan Walker plays solo, and he can expand his band to include members with laundry lists of accomplishments and famous affiliations, that love to play with him, so he can create as big a music event as desired. We had so many options including Raggae (real island reggae) classic and contemporary rock n roll, alternative and country, among others. For the early evening set, Dan played solo and sang. His acoustic guitar and his voice just oozed with soul. His style is an alchemy of instinct and technique, infused with emotion. The songs floated on the open air and had us swaying, singing, tingling and swooning. It truly was nothing less than magical. For the late evening, he invited two of his band members to join in, and that's when the fun meter redlined. The drums and the bass kicked in, shoes got kicked off, and everyone, old and young, busted some moves. The band kept us on our feet until after the noise abatement time, but evidently the music was so good that no one complained. As a matter of fact one of our neighbors asked the next day if we had someone famous playing at our event. I told them, probably. Its only a matter of time. We just hope he doesn't get famous before we get to have another event with him.
