Not only did Dana challenge these old (and hurtful) notions but she transformed my tresses into what I had never in a million years thought possible for my mop of hair for the biggest day of my life! It may have been just a thick braid on the side of my head in photos but that braid really meant so much more to me. It challenged my way of thinking and how I see myself. All I can say is choosing to work with Dana was the best decision EVER and you will not regret it for a moment! She came. She saw. She conquered! Thank you, Dana, for everything.

She listened intently, provided her own advice, and took exactly what I asked for and created it perfectly! Even when I completely changed my mind the week before my wedding on both my hair and makeup, she was incredibly patient and didn't make me feel like I was being "that bride", even though I definitely was, haha. Not only that, but she squeezed me in on a day she doesn't typically take customers to do my hair for my rehearsal dinner, and ended up testing some makeup for the wedding day since I had just switched things up on her. I have truly never felt more fabulous, and actually learned a lot about makeup in the process! Dana and her team were incredible and I cannot thank them enough for their talent and hard work. I had my trial about 2 months before my wedding which gave me enough time to decide if there were any changes. She is extremely flexible with what look you are going for so I felt myself on my wedding day. I had 6 bridesmaids, mother in law, my mother, and myself all getting hair and makeup so Dana was able to book Aly to help with the services. Together, they made such a great team and all of the girls looked incredible. I enjoyed working with them so much I wanted them to hop on the party bus and come to the wedding with us! I came to her home studio for my trial and she was incredibly helpful! I knew much more about how I wanted my hair, but don't have the best make-up background. Dana was very helpful in showing options and letting me decide a look that suited me and made adjustments as we went. On the day her and her assistant, Aly, were on-time, brought all the supplies (including the chair and ring light), and wide awake and ready to go! They were quick and attentive for each of my bridesmaids and continued working on others while some of my ladies were late to arrive. They brought extra supplies for the ladies who decided on the day to add items like lashes too. Dana accepts PayPal too which made the whole process of paying easy and efficient. Both Dana and Aly have upbeat attitudes and made the whole morning fun and relaxing :) All 8 ladies (2 moms, 5 bridesmaids, and 1 bride) started at 6:45am & done by 12pm. July 2018 in the heat of Charlotte. Personal & hair and make-up lasted through a 2pm ceremony, outdoor pictures, 6pm trolley and reception, and exit by 1030pm - LONG Lasting!

l job with my makeup and bridesmaids hair, but unfortunately I am very unhappy with the hairstyle I chose. I did my trial 9 months before my wedding, and wasn’t in love with the trial hairstyle because I felt like it didn’t go with my dress. On the wedding day I told Dana I still didn’t really know what I wanted, but showed her a photo of big, voluminous curls and she said okay and went straight to work. I really, really, really wish she had told me that my hair was twice as thick has the girl in the photo, and that the curls and volume would probably fall out before the wedding (considering the fact that I was getting ready at 12 and the wedding wasn’t until 6:30). I wish she had suggested pulling a few pieces back on one side, going with what I originally wanted, or at least warned me that my very thick hair would be covering my face with that style. I know this is my fault for choosing that, but I just wish that as an expert, Dana had provided me with some advice based on my hair type-- or even just told me to make sure to re-do the curls at some point in the night, or showed me how to position my hair to look good in photos. I was too stressed and overwhelmed to think for myself, and now I have to deal with hating myself in my photos and video because I look like a blanket of hair, not a smiling, happy bride. Overall, I still suggest Dana because she is extremely talented and very reliable. I just felt the need to advise other brides to be 100% sure of what you want before doing your trial, and make sure you take your own photos from every angle before moving full speed ahead right after getting ready.

My mom also has really short, thin hair and Dana gave her the most amazing updo, we didn't even know it was possible for her hair to look like that. Trust me, book Dana now! She did a lot of my bridesmaids too and also was able to connect me with another stylist when we needed another because I had 12 ladies getting hair done! She even sent me a few photos so I could review and let her know if I wanted to make any changes. About a week before the wedding, she sent me an email to touch base and ensure the information provided in the contract was still correct (timing, location, who would be getting their hair done, etc). As stressful as the week leading up to the wedding can be, I truly appreciated her initiative in reaching out to me (versus me having to chase around all my vendors at the minute). The day of the wedding, her professionalism shined as she arrived on time, if not a few minutes early. We recapped the plan for my hair and she immediately got to work. I was so thrilled with the final result that I wish I had booked her for makeup services too! She also did my sister's hair. My sister lives out of state and was unable to make it in for a trial, however, that proved to be no issue whatsoever. Dana is so attentive to what her customers want; she's willing to change, twist, and edit until you're perfectly satisfied with the end result. I had a full up-do with loose, romantic curls that withstood a 5 hour dance party while my sister had a voluminous blowout and curl that also held strong. Honestly, I couldn't imagine having a more wonderful wedding experience than I did with Dana. I will absolutely, without a doubt, book her again for my next formal event. Thank you, Dana!
