e endless task of researching vendors, we contacted several photographers but never felt the “click”- and then I remembered a friend who rcently got married and looked to see who their photographer was- enter Dana! From the moment of our informational call with Dana we felt comfortable. Dana was open to hearing what we wanted for the day- and she was able to give great insight from her vast experience. As soon as we hung up the phone I knew Dana was THE person I wanted to work with. When she did our engagement shoot- we were nervous; neither of us are used to being photographed. Real talk for a moment for plus size brides- As we know, not every angle and pose looks good for every body, and I was afraid that she would put us in poses that looked fake or less attractive with a bigger body. I had NOTHING to fear- Dana has us laughing and relaxed the more we got into the shoot. I felt beautiful and my fiancé and I both felt more in love and connected by the the time. I loved My engagement photos! When it came to wedding planning- She was responsive, answered all our questions. She was helpful in working in our shorter day of timeline (because I had a smaller wedding- I only wanted a 6 hour day instead of an full wedding day) I really appreciated the shot list she sent in advance to make sure we got all the shots we wanted that day. On the day of the wedding Dana and Brian were amazing at keeping us moving and capturing the shots we wanted. My emotions ran very close to the surface and they captured every perfect tear filled moment!! One of my favorite memories was when Dana captured my dad seeing me in my dress for the first time. It’s a memory I cherish in my mind and it’s something she captured so perfectly on film. (Also, shout out to Brian, who worked with my family to put Easter egg of a running family joke into our photos that I did not know about until we got our photos back and I laughed so hard!) In short- brides and grooms- Dana Todd is amazing, professional, and fun to work with. She has an eye for the perfect artistic photo and more importantly the ability to capture the natural little moments.

We started our wedding journey off on a bad foot with weather and sickness delaying our engagement shoot by several months but eventually it happened, and the photos are gorgeous! We both felt very comfortable working with Dana right away. Her methods may be a bit unusual, but they work! We were both able to relax and have fun during the shoot and it shows in the photos. When it came to the wedding, I loved the online portal that let me tell Dana exactly which family photos we wanted. Dana and Brian used it on the day of the wedding to make sure no photos were missed which made me feel calmer since I know that missing a photo (like with your parents at your graduation…) can ruin a good memory. As an organized person, I was very happy with the thought that went into the photography schedule. I would also like to add in a shout out to Brian here for holding my bouquet between photos when it got heavy and for helping me maneuver my massive train for photos. Thank you! Even with her busy schedule, Dana never failed to respond to all of our calls/emails promptly and made us always feel like a top priority. She is hilarious and so fun to work with; everyone at our wedding absolutely loved them. She made our time with her so effortless, easy, and kept our wedding organized and on schedule. dors, I knew that photography was going to be one of the things I was the most picky about. My husband and I are not the biggest fans of videographers due to the posed / unnatural feeling and we’ve seen enough uncomfortable and cringe videos to last a lifetime. We were immediately drawn to the photographs in Dana’s gallery and how they were dark and moody and captured candid moments rather than those posed photos that I could take on my iPhone. After talking to Dana about the important moments I’d like to capture, I felt like she really understood where I was coming from and had no doubt that she was the perfect choice for our wedding. Before our wedding, she sent us a couple questionnaires to fill out and what I loved was how much focus was on the small moments that she should be aware of that made our wedding unique. She made me feel extremely confident that she would obviously get the first kiss, and the first dance and all the typical wedding photos, but that she also wanted to know what was of utmost importance to me as a bride. About a week before the wedding, we got a chance to chat with Dana over video chat so that she could get to know us and this was so beneficial to our relationship! I’m a bit of an introvert so can be a little shy when I first meet new people and it felt like I had known Dana & Brian for ages and it was so comfortable working with them! On the day of, Dana and Brian immediately jumped into action and captured moments as we were getting ready separately. The first look was probably one of my favorite moments and the first sneak peek Dana showed us I instantly fell in love - she had stumbled upon the most amazing picture with a reflection as well and I can’t wait to see it printed out! They also were instrumental in helping us organize our very LARGE extended family photos flawlessly. Dana and Brian captured the candid moments and range of emotions throughout the day and I’m so beyond happy that we will get to relive these moments through these photos for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend this dynamic duo and can’t thank them enough for their carefree, easygoing, and fun attitudes the day of and for perfectly capturing our story.

The moment I got out of our car when I arrived at our venue Dana was extremely nice and hilarious! She made myself and all entire wedding party feel so comfortable. I felt because she was so funny you could genuinely see how happy and how good of a time we were having just by looking at our pictures. I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else to capture our special day. She was able to capture genuine interactions between us, and made the experience of being photographed as painless as could be. Dana and Brian worked together for our wedding day shoot. Work started a couple weeks in advance when they used our ceremony schedule and preferences to create an extremely detailed photo schedule. Thanks to their thorough planning, everything flowed perfectly on the big day. Dana and Brian have a great sense of humor, so in addition to capturing great photos, they were a source of sanity and support on a crazy day. During posed family shots they were great at getting genuine smiles out of everyone. Our final wedding shots were absolutely breathtaking. Recommended!

If a picture says a thousand words, then we have an entire set of encyclopedia. Everything single guest complemented us on choosing DTP. The process was easy. Dana guided us through when to do what leading up to the engagement session as well as the wedding day. She and Brian where easy-going, flexible, and very funny. I think we pretty much laughed through the day, which went by so darn quick. Thank goodness for the awesome pictures to remind us of it...and to see/experience all the different moments that we missed. Photography is one of the biggest item on the wedding budget and it's absolutely worth it. When all said and done the pictures live on to not only to remind you, but also bring back all the emotions of the beautiful celebration. This review is a bit delayed as DTP captured our wedding on 07.21.18 at Wente Vineyards and we're still awestruck looking at our pictures by DTP. We're so grateful to Dana and Brian for capturing and making one of the biggest life events UNFORGETTABLE.

I knew I needed DTP. My now-husband and I consider ourselves unphotogenic, but during our engagement shoot Dana made us laugh, sing, nuzzle, bump each other while walking etc and got amazing shots because of it. The day of the wedding I was beyond stressed with a French fiancé and multicultural guests already in the bridal suite when we arrived. Dana and Brian had met us in the lobby and witnessed the chaos. They were so great and completely diffused the tension - Brian even helped my mom push the luggage cart as we moved over to her room to finish getting ready. I was also worried how family photos would go with 4 sets of divorced and remarried parents - Dana and Brian handled the whole situation with such class and professionalism, even with pushy relatives getting in their face (sorry and I love you!) After the wedding, my mom and bridesmaids commented on how organized and efficient DTP was, and how we actually got to enjoy the wedding. Brian even bonded over cars with my now-husband in the back of a golf cart when he could tell he was a little overwhelmed. My sister (who is not even engaged yet) is now planning on hiring DTP for her wedding. I can't wait for our photos and know they'll be amazing!

You see their pictures and can feel the emotion and love captured. My now husband and I met with Dana over coffee to discuss our vision of our wedding and to get a feel for our potential wedding photographer! We instantly fell in love with Dana. She was real, honest, and extremely knowledgeable when it came to our questions or concerns. She brought albums for us to look through that just made our decision to book her for our wedding even easier. We had an engagement shoot with Dana where we were able to see the master at work! She had us laughing, singing, and nuzzling! She knew exactly what to say to help us relax as getting photos taken can be quite awkward. We loved our engagement photos and our wedding photos even more! The day of the wedding Dana was there every step of the way. We were so confident in her abilities and were so happy to have her there with us. We got some amazing shots on the day of our wedding because we put our trust in Dana. While taking photos at our wedding venue in Livermore, Ca, I caught Dana looking up at a vine covered Hill and I heard her say, “Now that would be an awesome shot.” I asked her, “Would you like us to walk up there so we can get that shot?” Her face was priceless when she asked if we’d really do that. Of course! Anything for the shot :) Dana captured our silhouettes on the hill in the sunset! The setting was so romantic and I would do it again in a heartbeat! When it came to planning our wedding, the photography, videography, and food were the three things I was not going to and did not want to find at a bargain rate. I did not want to settle for mediocre. If you talk to most people about they’re number one regret from their wedding day, most will say they wish they would have had a better photographer. With photography you get what you pay for. The investment is well worth the everlasting memories. Dana and her Husband Brian are not only amazing photographers but great people. We are so blessed to have had them to capture our special day!

For me, the photos were the most important part of the wedding and I spent months researching photographers. When I emailed Dana and got her response, I knew right then that I wanted her to be apart of our wedding. From the engagement session, to the wedding, she was not only one of our vendors, but she was our friend. My husband is not comfortable with having his picture taken, but with Dana, it was the most enjoyable experience for EVERYONE involved. They have been to tons of weddings, and said that they had never seen such amazing photographers. And the ceremony and reception! So much pressure was taken off of me on my wedding day, thanks to Dana. I didn't have to worry about what would be happening next, or where I should be, because Dana would gently remind me of what was next on our pre-planned schedule for photos. I have some of the most gorgeous family photos of my large family, that I will treasure forever. Kids aren't left out either, and I have the most amazing shots of my nieces and nephews. Her packages include an engagement shoot, which was so much fun! Dana and her husband truly wish to know the couple they will be photographing, which is why months in advance my now husband and I met them for dinner.
