Michael was a joy to work with and helped us develop a beautiful wedding dance choreography! My wife and I had zero dancing experiencing going into our lessons, but by the end of t...
he fifth lesson we looked like we'd been dancing for months. We highly recommend Michael to prepare you for your first dance!
We reached out and were able to schedule a VERY last minute 1-hour session with Michael to polish our first dance before our wedding. He was efficient, friendly, hilarious, and jus...
t a pleasure to work with. After our session, we felt much more comfortable editing our routine, entering and exiting the dancefloor, and we fixed a few problem areas. The result was a much smoother and more professional-looking dance and we got tons of compliments from our guests. Thank you Michael!!
My husband and I recently took 5 lessons with Michael to create a first dance routine for our wedding. Neither of us have any experience with dancing and were basically planning to...
do the middle school sway before my husband surprised me with these lessons. Michael was fantastic! He was friendly and easy to schedule with and was always there when we arrived. He was very encouraging – helping us to learn dance moves in small segments so we weren’t overwhelmed. He would even record us on our phone so we could practice at home. Very reasonable prices as well. Highly recommend!
My now husband and I were coming a bit down to the wire in looking at dance instruction for our first wedding dance and we came across Dance Bethesda. Michael, of Dance Bethesda, w...
as great to work with and really listened to our musical vision and offered expert suggestions on how to really bring out the best in what we were envisioning. The choreography was very balanced and tailored to my husband and I's level of dance experience. We were able to imitate practice from the dance studio with recorded videos of our lessons at home, which was a tremendous help. Our wedding guests were very impressed to see our routine on the dance floor. Also, if need you need a wedding officiant- Michael can fill that role too. Bottom line- great experience- would definitely recommend using Dance Bethesda for your special moment in the spotlight.
Michael was so much fun to work with! A few months before our wedding, my husband and I came to Michael with four left feet between us, and Michael not only helped us craft a perso...
nal and unique first dance, but also helped us feel completely comfortable while doing so. We just had a blast every single lesson. He gave us options for steps and helped us build a dance we were comfortable with, was interesting, and totally customized to our song. He helped us get so comfortable with the steps and, as we got better, gave us tips to improve even more and flourishes to make the dance a bit more engaging for the audience.
Having been a part of many weddings, he’s full of helpful tips in general for the wedding, like how to walk on and off after the dance, where my husband should go when we transition to father/daughter dance, and to remember to smile especially during the finale. It definitely shows that he has worked with a lot of couples with their wedding dances, but also has officiated weddings himself, so he has so much helpful knowledge!
We had so much fun with Michael and wholeheartedly recommend!
We went to Michael at Dance Bethesda for five lessons for our first dance. We had no dance experience and he made us look like pros at our wedding. It was amazing how much he was...
able to teach us in such little time. We would absolutely would recommend Michael to anyone!
My husband and I took private dance lessons with Rosario at Dance Bethesda so we wouldn't embarrass ourselves at our wedding.
Not only did we not embarrass ourselves, I think ...
people were genuinely impressed!
Rosario was a great instructor who took our four left feet and had us looking like legitimate dancers in no time. I was really surprised how far we came in such a short time period.
I highly recommend Rosario, who was incredibly nice, and Dance Bethesda. We had a lot of fun.
My now-husband convinced me to do dance lessons before our wedding. While I was a bit skeptical at first, I ended up having a BLAST! Dance Bethesda has a wedding package availabl...
e with several lessons and your instructor will help you choreograph your first dance. Katy was our instructor and she was super!
We found a groupon for 4 dance lessons from here. We never heard of it before, and it wasn't somewhere that was recommended, but we only had a few weeks and the price was right so ...
we took the chance that it would help us with a few moves and get us to a place where we didn't just sway back and forth. MAN DID WE GET OUR MONEY'S WORTH!! Immediately our instructor was interested to know about our wedding, our song, and what type of dance we wanted. We weren't expecting to get a choreographed dance, but we ended up with the perfect dance that fit our song and was elegant and NOT cheesy AT ALL. It fit our ability level well and it went over perfectly at the wedding - everyone was impressed!!! Our instructor really knew how to "whip us into shape" without being mean or demeaning and by helping us so that our dance was perfect and went off without a hitch! They even gave us a certificate for a few more free lessons. Score! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING OUR FIRST DANCE SO MEMORABLE!
Michael provides fun lessons that can help you make a ton of progress very quickly.
Impressed everyone with our first dance!
My husband and I went to Dance Bethesda to take lessons for our “first dance” at our wedding. We had a great time, and Michael was a wonderful instructor. He was patient with bot...
h of us, even though neither of us are natural-born dancers. He also gave us great suggestions and options for ways to make our dance fun and interesting, but reflective of us. We got lots of compliments on the dance from our guests! We’d definitely recommend it, and we hope to find time to go back for more dance classes in the future.
We purchased a package of 5 private dance lessons to prepare for our first dance. My husband and I are admittedly bad dancers. Our instructor Larry was outstanding. He was patient,...
helpful, and friendly. He met us at our level and helped to elevate us to a place I didn't think we were capable of! He took our song and cheoreographed a dance for us and helped us to look good doing it. By the end, we wanted to invite him to the wedding! He was amazing. I highly recommend Dance Bethesda and Larry to anyone who wants to dance to impress.
Highly recommended!
From our first complementary trial lesson until our final lesson, everyone at Dance Bethesda (including our awesome teacher Rosario) was wonderful. Everyone w...
as friendly and fun and never made us feel awkward for not being dancers, and they had a reasonably priced wedding package. We had so much fun taking lessons in preparation for our first dance, that we're thinking about continuing after the wedding!
The first day we went it was really bad; our instructor did not teach us exaclty what we asked for. After the first class we were skeptical about going back but decided we might as...
well try and it got alot better. I would recommend them just be careful who you recieve as your instructor.
My husband and I took 5 private lessons from Michael at Dance Bethesda. He was great! We had a unique song, and after hearing it for only a few bars, Michael knew exactly which t...
ype of dance we needed to do. He choreographed a 2 1/5 minute dance to go along perfectly with our song. He was so easy to work with, he made us feel comfortable and we actually learned a lot. They were really flexible too. Once I was 30 minutes late, and he allowed us to reschedule that 30 minutes for another day. And on the wedding day, we completely nailed it! We are even talking about maybe going back for some group lessons. I would definitely recommend using Dance Bethesda for dance lessons.
We took a series of 8 classes with Mike and Mike at Dance Bethesda. The classes begin with a free private lesson in order to get comfortable with the instructor as well as discuss...
details and desires of what we wanted to achieve. The choreography adjusted and advanced based on how quickly we were learning the steps. The combination of having 2 different teachers allowed each to comment on ther others' choreography. Both took care to break down the steps for us into digestable parts. Our wedding dance during the reception, although not perfect (you get nervous when there are 150 people staring at you), went off to much applause. All of our guest thoroughly enjoyed it and we had a ton of fun dancing it. This is one of the things that we are both so glad we put time and money into doing.
