We took private lessons from Jess to prep for our first dance for our wedding. Jess was an absolute pleasure to work with and made our Dirty Dancing routine dreams true! She was always kind in her instruction and met us at our ability level. Our lessons were always fruitful and helped us progress quickly. We highly recommend her and this studio to all those looking to dance!
We got to surprise our family and friends with a wonderful choreographed dance. Everyone was very impressed with our moves. We looked forward to coming to our lessons with Alisa. It was a really fun experience!
We purchased dance lessons for our wedding as my now husband and I wanted to have a classic first dance. So happy we did! Not only is the space beautiful but the dance instructors were amazing at coordinating exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. Ran by professionals!
Coming to Dance Center for our first dance was the best decision we made during our wedding planning. We started with their wedding package and our instructor was fun, knowledgeable, and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. We were kinda nervous never dancing before but they took the time to listen to what we wanted for our first dance making it a unique and unforgettable moment! We loved it so much that we continued with group lessons after our wedding and it’s been the highlight of our week. We highly recommend coming here whether your interested in learning something new or wanting to progress you skills in a variety of styles. Dance Center and it’s amazing staff has it all!

Dance Center Chicago was so flexible with our time crunch. Even though we only a couple months to practice, our dance instructor was able to build each lesson to fit our needs and coordinate a dance routine we felt comfortable showing off. Each lesson was tailored to us and done with a great sense of humor in a large space to spread out. Thanks, Dance Center Chicago!
We purchased one of their wedding packages which came with a 4 week group class and some private lessons. The package in comparison was a really amazing value. The group class was fun and taught us some basics with a fun little dip. The instructor was great and upbeat so we ended up taking the privates with her. She was very patient with me and my fiancee considering we were new to dancing together. We had a blast and it was something nice to do together before the wedding. They even allowed us to split the package and take a lesson with our parents. I took a lesson with my dad and my fiancee with his mom which was nice for them. Overall they were really accommodating and we had a great time. It definitely helped us loosen up and enjoy our first dance together more. I would highly recomend them!
We took two 60-minute lessons with Ron, who was terrific. He is experienced, a skilled teacher, and very pleasant to work with. In two hours, he managed to teach us how to foxtrot around the dance floor, spin, and do a polished entrance and conclusion to our dance. Despite having no experience, and with only a couple short practice sessions on our own, we managed to pull off a terrific first dance at our wedding. We fooled our guests into thinking we actually know how to dance! I definitely recommend using Ron to prepare for your first dance.
We couldn't believe how much we learned in just two lessons. I personally thought the lessons were great and effective but my husband doesn't feel as strongly so I only rated four stars.
We learned the fox trot - I was really impressed with how much the instructor taught my husband! But my husband feels that the instructor was a little hard on him and made him nervous.
I have a little dance background so I had a different perspective.
Overall, we learned how to dance in-sync and I think it was invaluable!
We had such a blast working with Mary. No matter how many times we messed up she didn't make us feel bad. We loved the moves she gave us. On the dance floor we froze up a little bit but as the night progressed we got better and better. I hope the pictures reflect her teaching skills. I can't wait to go back and learn new dances. My brother and sister in law even came to most of the lessons and picked up moves for themselves.
We mostly worked with Ron prior to our wedding--he was fantastic & we couldn't have been happier! Very accommodating to our schedule
