Dance Louisville was such a wonderful experience. Dakota (Red) and Allison were so great. They are patient and encouraging. We walked in not even knowing the basics and they quickly got us dancing like we had been doing it for years. You can tell they are very good at what they do because Red would add in steps as we moved through our song making it more complex. They really do care about your performance being what you want it to be. We wanted the whole song and he choreographed the whole song. It is absolutely beautiful! We will be going back for classes after the honeymoon!

We scheduled dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding. We were scheduled with Dakota (Red). Our introductory class was relaxing, getting to know what we wanted in our dance...

, the song, etc. he taught us some basic waltz steps. By the next class he had our performance choreographed and we got to work. 6 weeks, a lot of practice, a lot of laughs, and a whole lot of dancing! Red and Allison really worked with us through the process, correcting, encouraging, and always keeping us moving toward our goal. Nailing that first dance. I can’t thank them enough for creating a beautiful dance that wow’d the crowd. We will be looking at more classes. They are a gem to the dance community of Louisville!

If you're looking for a unique bonding opportunity with your fiancé in a fun atmosphere with a supportive instructor, Dance Louisville is a great place to go! (You can even grab a beer next door at the local brewery after your lessons! My husband loved that!!) We took lessons just once or twice a month over the course of our engagement (on our own schedule coordinated with Megan), and we came out with a great entertaining swing dance! was also having a mother-daughter dance and my mom and I wanted to make sure it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. I booked a lesson the week of the wedding for the first dance and mother-daughter dance. I wish I could remember our instructor's name because she was so wonderful! We each learned different steps that worked well with the music! Everything went perfectly the day of the wedding!

My wife (fiancee at the time) and I found Dance Louisville online when we decided that we wanted to do something special for our first dance at our wedding. We were pretty nervous...

, as neither one of us had ever danced before, and we didn't know what to expect. As soon as we entered the studio, we were greeted warmly, and our instructor, Emily, was incredibly kind, patient and talented. We had such a good time learning our first dance that we decided to do a second surprise dance, as well, and both were a huge hit! We were able to learn two completely different dances in about two months, and Emily and the rest of the staff at Dance Louisville were always welcoming and helpful. We've actually started taking lessons there because we had such a good time learning to dance! I would highly recommend Dance Louisville for anyone wanting to learn to dance in an awesome environment with great people.

d Kelly picked the style that went along with it and choreographed a dance for us. She was very flexible with scheduling lessons (both length and time/date) which was great. By the time we got to our wedding we remembered all of the steps and really impressed all of our guests. I HIGHLY recommend taking dance lessons because it's a great way to have some fun with your fiancee during a stressful time. I used two of our lessons to practice for the father/daughter dance. My dad is mostly a hopeless case when it comes to dancing but managed to do alright with the tips he got.

teachers and have great hearts! Go and do this! It was one of the most talked about things at our wedding and it was a great experience for us as a couple! We are going to keep taking lessons and dance away through our whole life! Highly recommend!!!!
