Yulia did an absolutely amazing job teaching us our first dance! It made everything about our dance special and we enjoyed learning, practicing, and performing it all the way up to the wedding. She personalized the entire dance around us and made sure we loved every part of it. She is such a sweet person and we cannot recommend her more!

I came into Yulia’s class with no dancing experience other than watching dancing with the stars. In 3 classes she was able to teach my fiance and I a perfect routine for our first dance. She is great to work with and you can tell she is a fantastic dancer. She hadn’t heard our first dance song before and after listening to it one time she was able to choreograph us a routine that fit to the music. My husband and I just got married this past weekend, and had taken 5 classes with Yulia to prepare our first dance. We are both the last people anyone would expect to pull off any sort of coordinated dance. Yulia helped us get the basics down and create a beautiful dance to our first song without any judgement. We had a lot of rough patches in the process but by the last lesson we were doing our dance comfortably. The first dance at our wedding was so fun not only due to the element of surprise (you can hear in the video people roaring as they realize we actually know what we are doing) but also the fact that we were so well rehearsed it all came naturally and we could really have fun doing it. Our photographer said it was the best first dance he had seen in his years of working. I would 100% reccomend taking lessons with Yulia to add that extra something special to your day!!

Yulia was a huuuuge help in teaching my now husband and I how to dance for our big day! We went in with no experience about a month out from our wedding. She choreographed an entire dance for us in 3 lessons and squeezed us in to help us nail all the moves. I personally am not a great dancer and was nervous about some of the moves, but Yulia choreographed something that felt like us without being too complicated. Definitely book her!

We absolutely love Yulia. We first learned about her from two friends. At their wedding we were blown away by their first dance, and asked how they learned it. They recommended Yulia, and the rest is history. Yulia turned my now-husband and me into dancers after just a lesson or two. She was so supportive as we were choosing between two possible songs for our first dance, and helped us see how both of them could work beautifully. After we decided, she choreographed and taught us an impressive dance quickly, and gave us ample time to practice, get feedback, and practice some more. She also hosted a session for couples getting married in the same month, and we had a blast practicing our dances in front of each other. We went into our wedding reception feeling confident and excited -- and we received rave reviews from our guests :) Yulia is compassionate, supportive, and connected to her dance students. Yulia is the best!! We had never taken dance lessons before and are so thankful we did for our wedding. We were very nervous about our first dance song and wanted a "plan" for it since it can be a faster song at times. Yulia choreographed the perfect dance for us and even convinced us to incorporate a lift- which I was very nervous about at first. We felt so comfortable and confident going into our wedding. Yulia even has her couples dance in front of each other to prepare for the big day. She is wonderful! I even took a dance lesson with my Dad in preparation for our father daughter dance which was extremely helpful (especially for the emotions!)

Yulia choreographed our first dance for our wedding, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Not only did the dance turn out incredible (and made for some great photos!), but it was so much fun to work with Yulia. When we first signed up for dance lessons, we saw it as a chore...but after our first lesson, my husband and I looked forward to our weekly visits with Yulia! I can't believe how many dips and lifts she taught us... and that she got us comfortable doing them in front of other people. I could not recommend more highly, Yulia is fantastic!

My husband and I were so lucky to have found Yulia to choreograph our wedding dance, she was an absolute joy to work with! My husband and I were nervous about dancing at first since we had never really danced together before, but we had so much fun going to each lesson and looked forward to it each week! Yulia was one of the most precious humans I've met in my life. When my fiancé now husband found her online to be our instructor, I wasn't sure if Yulia could deal with us - my husband is a very stiff person who doesn't enjoy ballroom dancing and I am the opposite, I love dancing so much. But Yulia aced the game right from the start, she was able to make my husband feel at ease and she choreographed something very unique for us despite our song wasn't a very typical First Dance Song. Not only that, she was also pregnant the whole time when she was coaching us, this woman was incredible!

Yulia is THE BEST! We had never danced before, but just one lesson in, we had already choreographed a significant portion of the dance with some dips and spins. It's incredible how she comes up with the moves on the fly - and it all turned out better than we ever could have imagined! Yulia strikes a very nice balance between making sure you are polished, but recognizing that you are amateur dancers and prioritizing comfort and having fun on the day of. She will go above and beyond to make sure that you know it perfectly before dancing on the big day - she even asked her students to stay late after classes to help us practice in front of a crowd. We couldn't have worked with someone better than Yulia

Yulia was amazing! My husband (fiancé at the time :P) and I went for our first lesson three weeks before our wedding. We did our second two weeks before our wedding. We were blown away by how amazing Yulia was. We are not dancers at all and learned sooo much from Yulia in such a short period of time. She broke everything up into bite size pieces and we did not feel overwhelmed at all. We 100% recommend her. She was amazing and helped us feel so comfortable facing on our wedding day.

Come to Yulia for all of your wedding dance needs! We did a more non-traditional first dance to Havana and she put together an amazing routine. While I have danced before, my now husband never had- and she worked her magic to create the perfect routine for both of us. She even made it work with our timeline of when we would be visiting from NYC to plan our wedding on the Cape. She also choreographed my father daughter dance. If you have never danced before- or you are an expert and want some wonderful choreography- she can do it all. Yulia is incredible- we love her so much and I wouldn't dream of doing our wedding dances with anyone else. I can confirm, these were crowd pleasers at our wedding as well <3

Yulia was spectacular. My fiancé and I had never danced before and she created the dance of our dreams. She let us lead with what we wanted and what we were comfortable with but she made sure the dance was cohesive and beautiful. Yulia was so amazing instructor - creative, patient, high-energy. We did a 5-lesson (and added 1 final) for a rather upbeat Beyonce song and she choreographed an amazing routine that left our guests wowed. This was the most fun part of our wedding planning and we were paced very well so never felt overwhelmed.

Yulia is a phenomenal instructor. My husband and I were unsure of what to expect of dance lessons, but she made the experience seamless and joyful. When I was initially looking for wedding dance instructors, I noticed how rave her reviews were, and that they all touched upon Yulia's personability and her gifts as a teacher. The reviews are so well-deserved; she's just plain terrific. My husband and I are both low-key people, and were a little ambivalent about the idea of taking lessons at all—and uneasy at the thought of being in the spotlight for a first dance. But in addition to preparing our steps and choreography, Yulia mentally prepared us and talked us through the process. She's so experienced in working with weddings and couples, and we had a range of pleasant conversations throughout our lessons where she gave some practical tips about how to navigate different aspects of the day, and the dance itself. After just a couple of lessons, she understood our personalities and our dynamic well enough to reflect it with the dance choreography. She knew when to scaffold, as an instructor, and when to step back and let us figure things out on our own. We wanted an old and slow Neil Young song, and she was able to build a dance that felt connected to the song's lyrics, and also reflected us as a couple. She eventually built in some challenge, which allowed us to take on some footwork/spins/etc. without ever getting into splashy territory. She was personable and positive throughout the entire process, and our dance lessons became this incredible anchor leading into the wedding itself. Dancing around the kitchen, to practice between sessions, is one of my most cherished memories of the days and weeks leading into September. And the dance did, ultimately, become one of my favorite wedding memories as well. I felt deeply connected to my husband during the dance itself, and able to tune out everything around us, because we'd simply practiced so much. We took Yulia's suggestion of inviting people to join us towards the tail end of the song—which someone managed to capture on video. It was incredibly sweet to have everyone gather around us, and it felt organic; it also immediately opened up the dance floor for the rest of the night. (And the dance floor stayed filled.) This review is incredibly overdue, but Yulia deserves all of her rave reviews...she's the best!

ONE MILLION STARS!!!!!!!!! If you are a person who reads reviews and is trying to research the best dance instructor, look no further because Yulia is it! Yulia is absolutely AMAZING. My fiancé and I decided to get lessons before our wedding. Mainly because dancing is not my strength and I wanted to avoid having a panic attack before our first dance. Yulia spoke right to my heart. She is incredibly easy to work with and made the process so fun. She made me feel so comfortable and CONFIDENT with every dance move I learned. She also made sure the moves fit with our personalities which I thought was really helpful. I walked into the lesson hoping to learn the basic slow dance move with maybe a spin. Walked out of the lesson with a choreographed dance that involves multiple spins, a LIFT and two dips!! Anything that involves multiple steps for me is beyond confusing and she broke everything down and make it so easy for me to understand. I walked out of our last lesson so excited and I can’t wait to do our dance on our wedding day. She exceeded my expectations !!

First dance lessons with Yulia was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Yulia is a GEM! About two weeks before our wedding, my husband and I panicked over our first dance, and we scheduled a session with Yulia.
