Yulia was a huuuuge help in teaching my now husband and I how to dance for our big day! We went in with no experience about a month out from our wedding. She choreographed an entire dance for us in 3 lessons and squeezed us in to help us nail all the moves. I personally am not a great dancer and was nervous about some of the moves, but Yulia choreographed something that felt like us without being too complicated. Definitely book her!

We absolutely love Yulia. We first learned about her from two friends. At their wedding we were blown away by their first dance, and asked how they learned it. They recommended Yulia, and the rest is history. Yulia turned my now-husband and me into dancers after just a lesson or two. She was so supportive as we were choosing between two possible songs for our first dance, and helped us see how both of them could work beautifully. After we decided, she choreographed and taught us an impressive dance quickly, and gave us ample time to practice, get feedback, and practice some more. She also hosted a session for couples getting married in the same month, and we had a blast practicing our dances in front of each other. We went into our wedding reception feeling confident and excited -- and we received rave reviews from our guests :) Yulia is compassionate, supportive, and connected to her dance students. Yulia is the best!! We had never taken dance lessons before and are so thankful we did for our wedding. We were very nervous about our first dance song and wanted a "plan" for it since it can be a faster song at times. Yulia choreographed the perfect dance for us and even convinced us to incorporate a lift- which I was very nervous about at first. We felt so comfortable and confident going into our wedding. Yulia even has her couples dance in front of each other to prepare for the big day. She is wonderful! My husband and I were so lucky to have found Yulia to choreograph our wedding dance, she was an absolute joy to work with! My husband and I were nervous about dancing at first since we had never really danced together before, but we had so much fun going to each lesson and looked forward to it each week! Yulia was one of the most precious humans I've met in my life. When my fiancé now husband found her online to be our instructor, I wasn't sure if Yulia could deal with us - my husband is a very stiff person who doesn't enjoy ballroom dancing and I am the opposite, I love dancing so much. But Yulia aced the game right from the start, she was able to make my husband feel at ease and she choreographed something very unique for us despite our song wasn't a very typical First Dance Song. Not only that, she was also pregnant the whole time when she was coaching us, this woman was incredible!

Yulia was amazing! My husband (fiancé at the time :P) and I went for our first lesson three weeks before our wedding. We did our second two weeks before our wedding. We were blown away by how amazing Yulia was. We are not dancers at all and learned sooo much from Yulia in such a short period of time. My husband and I are not the best dancers, so the idea of 130 people watching us dance for a couple of minutes made us nervous. At the same time, we weren’t totally sold on lessons, because we wanted our dance to still feel like us and not feel too choreographed. Yulia crafted a first dance for us that fit the bill. Our first dance was so beautiful and was something I’ll never forget. She incorporated a few dips and even a lift - something we never thought we’d do, and it was so so perfect. We loved it, our guests loved it, and it was a talking point throughout the whole night. Not to mention, the lessons were so fun! Every week I always looked forward to our lessons. Come to Yulia for all of your wedding dance needs! We did a more non-traditional first dance to Havana and she put together an amazing routine. While I have danced before, my now husband never had- and she worked her magic to create the perfect routine for both of us. She even made it work with our timeline of when we would be visiting from NYC to plan our wedding on the Cape. She also choreographed my father daughter dance. If you have never danced before- or you are an expert and want some wonderful choreography- she can do it all. Yulia is incredible- we love her so much and I wouldn't dream of doing our wedding dances with anyone else. I can confirm, these were crowd pleasers at our wedding as well <3

Yulia was spectacular. My fiancé and I had never danced before and she created the dance of our dreams. She let us lead with what we wanted and what we were comfortable with but she made sure the dance was cohesive and beautiful. Yulia was so amazing instructor - creative, patient, high-energy. We did a 5-lesson (and added 1 final) for a rather upbeat Beyonce song and she choreographed an amazing routine that left our guests wowed. This was the most fun part of our wedding planning and we were paced very well so never felt overwhelmed.

Yulia is a phenomenal instructor. My husband and I were unsure of what to expect of dance lessons, but she made the experience seamless and joyful. When I was initially looking for wedding dance instructors, I noticed how rave her reviews were, and that they all touched upon Yulia's personability and her gifts as a teacher. The reviews are so well-deserved; she's just plain terrific. My husband and I are both low-key people, and were a little ambivalent about the idea of taking lessons at all—and uneasy at the thought of being in the spotlight for a first dance. But in addition to preparing our steps and choreography, Yulia mentally prepared us and talked us through the process. She's so experienced in working with weddings and couples, and we had a range of pleasant conversations throughout our lessons where she gave some practical tips about how to navigate different aspects of the day, and the dance itself. After just a couple of lessons, she understood our personalities and our dynamic well enough to reflect it with the dance choreography. She knew when to scaffold, as an instructor, and when to step back and let us figure things out on our own. We wanted an old and slow Neil Young song, and she was able to build a dance that felt connected to the song's lyrics, and also reflected us as a couple. She eventually built in some challenge, which allowed us to take on some footwork/spins/etc. without ever getting into splashy territory. She was personable and positive throughout the entire process, and our dance lessons became this incredible anchor leading into the wedding itself. Dancing around the kitchen, to practice between sessions, is one of my most cherished memories of the days and weeks leading into September. And the dance did, ultimately, become one of my favorite wedding memories as well. I felt deeply connected to my husband during the dance itself, and able to tune out everything around us, because we'd simply practiced so much. We took Yulia's suggestion of inviting people to join us towards the tail end of the song—which someone managed to capture on video. It was incredibly sweet to have everyone gather around us, and it felt organic; it also immediately opened up the dance floor for the rest of the night. (And the dance floor stayed filled.) This review is incredibly overdue, but Yulia deserves all of her rave reviews...she's the best!

ONE MILLION STARS!!!!!!!!! If you are a person who reads reviews and is trying to research the best dance instructor, look no further because Yulia is it! Yulia is absolutely AMAZING. My fiancé and I decided to get lessons before our wedding. Mainly because dancing is not my strength and I wanted to avoid having a panic attack before our first dance. Yulia spoke right to my heart. She is incredibly easy to work with and made the process so fun. She made me feel so comfortable and CONFIDENT with every dance move I learned. She also made sure the moves fit with our personalities which I thought was really helpful. I walked into the lesson hoping to learn the basic slow dance move with maybe a spin. Walked out of the lesson with a choreographed dance that involves multiple spins, a LIFT and two dips!! Anything that involves multiple steps for me is beyond confusing and she broke everything down and make it so easy for me to understand. I walked out of our last lesson so excited and I can’t wait to do our dance on our wedding day. She exceeded my expectations !!

First dance lessons with Yulia was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We booked a package of private lessons with Yulia to choreograph our first dance for our wedding. We had a fun, upbeat song but didn't know what to do with it. Yulia is a GEM! About two weeks before our wedding, my husband and I panicked over our first dance, and we scheduled a session with Yulia. My now husband and I started working with Yulia the end of March for our June 18, 2022 wedding. Oh my goodness, I can't recommend Yulia enough!! We took dance lessons in the couple months leading up to our wedding, and it was SO.much.fun! We had zero experience before our first lesson, and picked a slightly less traditional first dance song, and Yulia was just amazing, choreographing the whole dance, and being SO patient with us when we had trouble with anything. We could not believe how much we improved throughout those classes, and we had SO much fun doing it! We looked forward to the lessons so much, it was like a new type of date night each week. Yulia made them so fun, but also taught us so much. She broke down every piece of the dance into super manageable steps and went over them with us as much as we needed. The dance at the wedding ended up being a huge hit too. Everyone was so shocked by what we were able to put together, and we keep telling each other it was literally our favorite part of the whole night. If you are at all debating taking dance lessons before your wedding, especially with Yulia, DO IT!! You will not regret it!

I cannot say enough about how happy (and amazed) we were with Yula’s services! We decided very last minute we should take a lesson before our wedding, just to not make a fool of ourselves. We only had time for literally one lesson. You could tell Yula had a slight heart attack at the news we only had an hour, but she immediately got to work with us, and the result was nothing beyond amazing. She taught us some “basic” moves to our dance song and broke everything down into simple terms/moves for us. And boy oh boy did we look great! We were showered with compliments after the reception. And her class was so much fun, we really wish we had time to do more. She was so patient, and stayed late for us to make sure we super comfortable before leaving. And even offered to facetime us an additional lesson once we arrived to our destination wedding. We are definitely planning to return to just take some lessons with her just for fun!

Yulia is AMAZING! We started taking dance classes very close to our wedding date with little time to learn. Within just a few lessons, Yulia choreographed and taught us our beautiful first dance! She breaks down each move to make it easy to practice and learn - and makes each class so fun! We absolutely loved working with Yulia and highly recommend her to all couples looking to nail their first dance!

Yulia was an amazing choreographer to work with. My husband and I are not dancers by any means nor are we rhythmically inclined, but Yulia worked with us start to finish to create a dance that showed off our energy and flair and made us look graceful! She was very patient and was always smiling and very positive. We were very nervous for our first lesson and my husband didn't think he would enjoy dance lessons at all, but after just our first lesson we were excited to continue. She will work with you no matter your timeline, it's never too late for at least a few lessons before the wedding! My advice would be to plan a few months for dance lessons to really get the most out of it and create a dance that is so uniquely you as a couple. Dance lessons were something we figured we would do if we had time after planning everything else for the wedding and I am glad we had the time! If I had to do the planning over though I would definitely make dance lessons more of a priority. We had so much more fun with our first dance and we were so excited to share it with all of our guests. It really was one of the highlights of the day. Yulia will work with you as a couple and create a dance for you that fits your style as a couple, she gets to know you both and your dance will reflect that. We had so much fun with Yulia and she turned us into dancers! We are even thinking of going back for other dance classes after the wedding! You can't go wrong with Yulia and Dance Stream Studio!!

My husband and I got married in August and decided a few weeks before that we wanted to learn few simple moves to weave into our first dance. We contacted Yulia and were in her studio within days. She was so great to work with - so nice, patient, and listened to exactly what we wanted. She fixed our form, taught us a couple of moves, and our dance went perfectly. Highly recommend Yulia!

I am so glad I reached out to Yulia on The Knot — she got back to me quickly via text and was so easy to coordinate a time to meet up. We had less than a month until our wedding, and in all the craziness of the buildup towards the big day our sessions with Yulia were doing if the most fun (and calming) moments we had together in the whole planning. We got back our video of the wedding this fall and I am so glad we had such a fun dance to always remember. In terms of our song, we brought Yulia a pretty obscure modern song "1950" by King Princess, and listening to it for the first time she was able to build a beautiful dance piece by piece that reflected our personalities and varying degrees of dance experience — my wife does Zumba weekly and my dance experience is pretty much only after a couple drinks. Yulia is the BEST! She had the best energy, patience, talent and makes dancing fun! She really got to know us and choreographed an incredible dance that fit us perfectly. In a few lessons, she had us ready and all of our guest absolutely loved the dance!

Yulia is absolutely amazing! I took 3 lessons with her (2 with my dad and 1 with my husband) prior to our wedding. I didn’t want to learn a specific choreographed dance, but just wanted to feel more comfortable! She listened to our songs and gave us 5 ish different moves we could mix in as we danced. If you are looking for no stress dance lessons, look no further. Yulia is truly the best! My husband and I got married at the end of the 2021 summer. With two months to go until the wedding, we reached out to Yulia for some help with our first dance, and she was there for us right away. Minutes after we reached out to make contact, she was chatting with us on the phone and helping us strategize for our big day. Meeting with her in person, we immediately felt comfortable with her and she was very gracious as she choreographed our every move. She worked with us and was constantly asking which moves we felt comfortable with (and which ones we did not). She masterfully created a dance we loved, and had a great sense of humor for this couple with “two left feet.” The dance during our reception went so well and our friends and family were so impressed. Our uncle battling cancer was so inspired, he danced at our wedding for the first time since his own! I cannot recommend her enough. Working with Yulia was a joy and an experience we will never forget. Thank you so much!

Yulia is an amazing dance instructor - my wife and I were married in August and I was hesitant about dance lessons, if I had been born with 3 feet all would be left. We did about 4-5 sessions and started late, only a month before the wedding. In that timeframe she choreographed a dance to our song, made it fun, and was able to shift moves as we went to tailor it to our personalities and our comfort zone (while also pushing us beyond our original comforts). By the time the wedding came and with a little practice I had enough confidence that our first dance was awesome, and a big hit at the wedding. We still use the moves after a few tequilas at our friend’s weddings. Yulia was just the best. A great sense of humor, excellent patience, and an effective method of teaching for new students. Shortly before the event, I also signed up for another session with my mother for our mom/groom dance and even just with one lesson we had enough moves to make an impact (would have been even better with more). I’ll always recommend to anyone that they sign up for lessons - and if they are in the area there is no better option than Yulia!

My fiancé and I took ‘first dance’ lessons with Yulia for our wedding this past fall. Both the experience and result were absolutely amazing!! The lessons with Yulia were a lot of fun - Yulia is a true expert, she taught us some of the fundamentals of dance and custom choreographed our dance by both taking our wishes into account and pushing us further than we thought we could go. Yulia coached us to be ready for our dance and it went incredibly well at the wedding. It put our parents and loved ones in tears and was an absolute hit with e all of our guests! Highly recommend.

My wife and I wanted a couple lessons just to feel more comfortable at our first dance. We were planning on just a simple, ceremonial ~1 minutes dance. Yulia was so easy to work with that we decided to do more lessons and dance to the all our our first dance song. She made complicated moves (for beginners like us) easy to grasp. Lifts, turns, and spins were all covered. The dance created a story, starting slow and speeding up. Seemingly little things such as body orientation to the crowd and photographer positioning were discussed to create a memorable experience for us and everyone else. And it was just fun to learn throughout the lessons. Very flexible with scheduling us with our difficult and busy schedule. We are extremely happy with our decision and working with Yulia.

Yulia was an amazing person to work with for the first dance at our wedding. My husband and I originally came in for 1 lesson just to help us get comfortable with moving to the beat of our first dance song. We ended up doing 3 lessons with Yulia who put together simple choreography for us that truly wowed our guests. Our friends James and Sarah told us about their dance lessons with Yulia when they were engaged and said it was their favorite part of wedding planning! After re planning our wedding (due to covid) 3x and changing our venue I was more than exhausted and the joy of wedding planning was no longer there anymore. Yulia was an absolute pleasure to work with for our choreographed first dance at our recent wedding in May 2021. Neither myself nor my husband had any prior dance experience, but Yulia was able to basically turn us into dancing with the stars! She choreographed a entire dance, which was quite complex, including 3 dips and 3 lifts with multiple interwoven dance steps throughout, it was elegant, sultry, and in every way captivating, both for us and our guests! We got so many compliments on our dance. Yulia was patient, kind, and such a joy to work with. She kept us inspired, encouraged, and was just the right amount of gracious and firm as a teacher to get us exactly where we needed to be with plenty of time to spare. I think total we did 6 double sessions starting about 8 weeks before our wedding and we felt more than adequately prepared. She filmed us multiple times so that we could learn more about what we were doing well and not doing so good so that we could improve. She also had us dance infront of other couples on quite a few occasions which was actually super helpful to prepare for dancing in front of all of our wedding guests. We had an absolute blast with Yulia, she kept this fun, and we highly recommend her to everyone. We plan to continue to take dance lessons with her in the future just because we enjoyed our time so much, and we could really see how much progress we made after every lesson. Yulia was absolutely worth the investment.

We absolutely loved Yulia. Three weeks before our wedding we realized we really wanted to have a few moves for our first dance. We got so much more! Yulia took a song that meant a lot to us from during quarantine and created a fully choreographed dance that left room for improvisation—we had never done anything together like this before and she made us feel really capable. It was totally stress-free and actually helped us connect and relax in those last final weeks before the wedding. Highly recommend. She’s very quick to respond to communication and was flexible and accommodating with our schedules. It honestly was like a gift to ourselves. We are planning to go back to Dance Stream after the wedding just as a fun couples activity! (P.s. my fiancé has neeeeever done any kind of choreographed or partnered dancing and she made him feel really confident and great about the whole thing). Yulia has a great way about her—funny and kind and professional. We felt like we made a new friend!

I can't say enough great things about Yulia! We contacted her less than 2 months to our wedding for some basic slow dance lessons to help us with our first dance. I have some basic dance experience, I grew up dancing when I was younger, however my now husband and I wanted to make sure we were able to slow dance correctly. When we met with Yulia for our first lesson, we showed her our song, and by the end of the lesson we decided we were going to do a whole lot more than just a slow dance! We didn't think we could do it, but Yulia is such a great teacher, she had us doing lifts, spins, dips- you name it, it was in our dance! We had a total of 4 dance lessons with her, and left with a full, beautifully unique choreographed 1st dance. The night of the wedding my husband and I weren't even nervous because of all of the practice we did and Yulia's great teaching! We really wowed our guests and it was definitely a showstopper moment. We felt like we were on "dancing with the stars!" It was a great photo opp too, some of my favorite wedding photos are captured from the first dance. It was truly a highlight of the wedding reception. Look no further than Dance Stream! It was convenient, fairly priced and more than what we could have imagined for our first dance!
