John, Cyndi, and their team provided the best DJ services we could ask for! They took time to get to know us and our music tastes, as well as helped us better understand how to create the best possible timeline for our special day. Their team is always available for questions and knows our venue (Castle Green) inside and out! The day of, we did not have a care in the world as John kept the timeline on track and the party going all night. His seamless transitions between parts of the ceremony and reception made the day flow perfectly! We are so grateful for their team and cannot recommend Dance Syndicates highly enough!

We cannot overstate how much we loved working with John and Cyndi. From the first meeting we could tell they are very experienced and love what they do. They genuinely cared about making our wedding great and man John came through! We've been to many weddings and never had a MC/DJ like John, the music created the right ambiance at all times and John had so many tricks up his sleeves to rally up a great mood for our guests, he had us cracking up all day! John made a world of difference for our wedding, we were so lucky to have found him and you would be too!

John & Cyndi were incredible!! Our favorite vendor we worked with for our wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect music & set up from the moment the guests arrive until the last song of the night. I have never seen a dance floor so wild!! there was not a moment where the dance floor stopped. We gave a vibe of what type of music we wanted and he ran with it, it was perfect for our crowd and everyone raved about the DJ the next day at our brunch. John even went as far as checking on us to make sure we had food and drinks all night. 100% recommend John for your wedding (or any other event for that matter)

John and Cyndi are really amazing. They're not just a DJ who you'll see the day of your event when they come with their equipment, they really take the time to get to know you and what you want for your event. We hired John and Cyndi for our wedding in July and had a great time getting to know them over dinner during our consultation and then for our final checklist meeting. They really took care to choose music that would work best for the vibe we were going with and even worked on creating custom cues for some of the songs we chose so the timing would work to the best dramatic effect. My husband and I were so lucky to have found John and Cyndi of Dance Syndicate! We booked them long before anyone else to help with our wedding. Due to the pandemic, we lost other vendors along the way but John was always there to help us plan our day. John is experienced, warm and has a great DJing style. he kept the dancefloor hot all night! Thank you John and Cyndi for everything!

He played all of our "must play" songs, avoided the songs that we asked him to, timed the start of our choreographed first dance perfectly and had all of our family and friends involved/laughing/dancing through the whole night. My wife and I got married on October 1, 2016 at Castle Green in Pasadena, CA and needed a DJ for our event. We interviewed several vendors but never fit what we need because they were either: too expensive, not responsive and late, or their styles seem fake (throwing in a fake English accent when they lived in America since they were born). We ended up interviewing John Villa, a friend's friend for the gig. Not only did he offer DJing our event, he also was able to offer us lighting, and be our officiant as well (he was ordained in California)! So he was a one stop shop to take care of 3 things at once! So when we did the interview, we realized he was just as sarcastic and had a sick sense of humor like my wife and myself. It made conversation much easier and comfortable that we could talk about cupping each other balls (I have no idea how that got in the conversation). That being put aside, he is also a perfectionist like myself and wants to know detail by detail, line by line, about everything. He also acted similar to a wedding coordinator and has great ideas on how to make everything flow seamless. For example, we ended up doing a grand entrance for the bridal party as well as the bride and groom. Rather than going back to our seats, he had us stay there, do a group photo (as he mentioned that most of the time you don't get good pictures after the ceremony cause everyone is doing their own thing), and then shoot to the first dance as all the gusts have already been seated and facing the dance floor. This is just ONE example of the tricks of his sleeve to make things seamless. He went along with everything we had to say. He had great opinions on certain things but we didn't use all of them. But since we had a Vietnamese wedding with Vietnamese names, he learned the names with us (btw, he's not Vietnamese) and did a great job of learning them. We wanted to roast our bridal party and he helped us put together jokes that caught everyone off guard and was hilarious when the bridal party did their grand entrance. He took charge when he needed to and regulated the crowd as sometimes, they would not listen to our coordinators. The songs he played were fun and everyone went on dancing the rest of the night without skipping a beat. Besides the DJing part, the lighting he did was spectacular. It gave our ballroom a unique glow and was gorgeous. He set our gobo on the dance floor perfectly. Speaking of which, we had a very detailed GOBO design which he took care of and paid for and didn't want to bother us until after all of our wedding was over. Same with the mic rentals for our 4 singers/MCs. He initially wasn't even going to charge us but I couldn't let him do that. We had a blast and so did our guests. John was very professional, communicated with us in a timely manner, and is fun to work with. Although you may be swayed away because of his rape van, I'm sure that's just to store his equipment and not little children. We plan on hiring him for any anniversaries or events and actually we all became friends.

John Villa is the best at what he does! We booked him for our wedding last month, and from start to finish, he provided us with an awesome experience. I was recommended to Dance Syndicate Entertainment from our wedding venue. I reviewed other Dj's ratings and was not as impressed as I was with John's. On several forums, you can see that John is well respected. After initially speaking with John, he suggested having a meeting to go over our wedding and vision for the day. We live very far from where he is located, and he actually drove out to our home on more than one occasion to go over music choices, timeline details and questions we had. He was also willing to work with our budget which I was so thankful for. The level of service and amount of planning and coordinating John did for us was well worth double what we could afford. John is personable, professional, courteous and thoughtful. He is an absolute pleasure to work with! On our wedding day, John arrived very early to set up lighting and equipment. He did the music for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He even found time to bring us a drink and appetizer plate while we were taking pictures - how many Dj'S do you know that are that nice?! Not to mention, how happy we were with the music he played! His Dj and emcee skills went so far above our expectations. He played every song we asked for plus more and all of our guests loved him! Everybody danced and joined in on the evening's festivities. John made both of our families feel comfortable, and everyone had fun. Even our photographers asked for his info! They said out of all the weddings they had done, ours was the best because John made them want to join in on the fun. Simply put, my wedding would not have been even half as great if it wasn't for John and the amazing job he did on my Wedding day.
