y. She was really easy to work with from the start and made us both feel comfortable and confident in learning new steps. Jackie was really great about making sure the dance was what we wanted, and when we asked to change something or add something she was so nice about making the changes and finding moves we liked and felt confident with.  I even brought her a video of a move I’d seen online that I wanted to try to add, which looked a bit advanced, but she made it so easy to learn. Even my fiancé, who saw the video and immediately said he’d never be able to do it, was able to learn it from her in less than half a session.  Jackie’s teaching style was really helpful. She showed us the steps by standing in for one of us and then the other, so we could each feel out how we should be moving, and then would have us try it together. She also built on the moves slowly so that we were able to learn them fully before adding more into the dance. Before starting I was sure we’d need at least 5 sessions, but she was able to choreograph and teach us our whole dance in 3 sessions. Our wedding is in 3 weeks and we’re so excited to show off our moves in this dance! Our first dance was the thing my fiancé was most nervous about and because of Jackie he’s now so excited and keeps saying he actually feels like a good dancer now.  I can’t recommend her enough! As someone who used to dance who has a partner who had never danced before, I was really impressed with how well she was able to work with both our skill levels.   She created a beautiful dance that feels very true to who we are, and made it so much fun to learn! If you’re nervous about your first dance or just looking to make the process fun and true to you and your partner, she’s the perfect teacher.  She was also very easy to communicate with to plan sessions and was great about finding times that worked with our schedules.  We will definitely be recommending her to any friends of ours getting married in the future!

Instead of feeling stressed about our first dance, we ended up looking forward to our lessons every week. The dance she put together for us was perfect. We were also thankful she really listened to us and found out 8 counts would not work for us (lol) so she was so good at using our music as cues for us to remember!  Jackie is down to earth, fun, and a true artist!

We get married in a WEEK (I do not suggest waiting this long), and Jackie jumped on a Zoom the first moment that worked (I also would recommend in studio for a x100 experience I'm sure). The fact that she could patiently and clearly walk us through new choreography step-by-step, through a screen, shows her expertise ALONE. But being able to create a joyful, confident experience for two non-dancers is a whole other level. Her choreography feels and looks cool, has flare and WOW, while overall being simplistic, classic and FUN. My fiancé, the dancing grinch, literally cannot wait to "perform". It's unbelievable.
