My husband and I came to Sarah looking for a few (3-4) lessons to help with our first dance for our adventure elopement. We had choreographed it but we wanted help feeling less awkward, slow dancing, and for my husband to learn how to lead. Sarah helped us with all these things and offered tips and alternatives to help our dance choreography flow better. We had so much fun learning with Sarah. We felt each lesson was very efficient and definitely worth it! Sarah is very talented, knowledgable, and professional and it was a joy learning from her. We hope to come back for more lessons in the future!

If I can tell any bride something that they need to do, it would be dance lessons with Sarah. Not only was it fun, but it took the stress away from wedding planning, and it was something that we looked forward to every week. It was a time when we got to laugh and have fun and learn something new together. Sarah is amazing! She listened to us. She saw what we were comfortable doing. She is the perfect mix of serious and fun. We learned an amazing dance and we still got to have fun and laugh and it was okay when we messed up. I got to do lessons with my husband and my dad. Her pricing was good, and it was truly worth every penny to be able to do dance lessons prior to our wedding. As someone who was on the fence about doing lessons I’m here to tell you just book the lessons you will not regret it at all. As an added bonus, we made a lifelong friend with Sarah.

Hello there! I'm Sarah Stokes, the owner of Dance with Sarah. I know that learning to dance can be very intimidating to some, but it is my goal to meet each and every dance student and help them accomplish their dance goals. I love to help engaged couples (and sometimes their parents as well) to feel comfortable and confident while having all eyes on them on the dance floor. No matter what your dancing intention is, whether it is working on simple skills to keep from feeling embarrassed, or creating an elegant and traditional first dance, or a coming up with a quirky showstopper dance routine, I can help! Dance with Sarah is located in Orangevale, California. Lessons for wedding couples are private and perfect for individuals that are more comfortable with one on one instruction instead of a large studio environment. If you are looking to hire an instructor to teach at an event, I also teach group dance lessons outside of the studio.

Well Hello! Thanks for checking out my dance page. My name is Sarah Stokes and I started dancing in 2004. When I started it was just for fun, a fun pastime if you will. I walked into a country bar & was amazed at how much fun everyone on the dance floor was having. Thats when I began to learn line dancing. A few months later I started to learn ballroom dancing as a student. Before I knew it, the Ballroom Studio asked me to train to be an instructor, so I did. Now I teach on my own at my studio, and at events, and I really look forward to working with you to make your perfect first dance!

hat couple she was going to work with. Scheduling with her was so easy and straight forward. She listened to what we wanted for our first dance. We had a mashup of songs & each song that she listened to, she had a dance in mind. She also asked for our input which she added onto the dance. She definitely makes you feel welcomed at her dance space. She’s funny when critiquing you. She’ll tell you what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it. We’re so extremely happy that we chose Sarah to help choreograph our first dance. I will say (me the bride) had a bit of a hiccup due to my dress being longer than I had anticipated & a bit of my nerves getting to me, but for the majority of it, our dance turned out great & the crowd was impressed with our dance, especially bc my husband and I don’t dance ourselves. Overall, we strongly recommend booking with Sarah!
