Dance Like All Eyes Are On You
Where do we even begin…Starting off, Sarah was very much approachable from the conversations we had on here just to get an inquire to the start of us meeting with her so she knew what couple she was going to work with. Scheduling with her was so easy and straight forward. She listened to what we wanted for our first dance. We had a mashup of songs & each song that she listened to, she had a dance in mind. She also asked for our input which she added onto the dance. She definitely makes you feel welcomed at her dance space. She’s funny when critiquing you. She’ll tell you what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it. We’re so extremely happy that we chose Sarah to help choreograph our first dance. I will say (me the bride) had a bit of a hiccup due to my dress being longer than I had anticipated & a bit of my nerves getting to me, but for the majority of it, our dance turned out great & the crowd was impressed with our dance, especially bc my husband and I don’t dance ourselves. Overall, we strongly recommend booking with Sarah!
Sarah has been an absolutely incredible wedding dance instructor. She is to the point, transparent, and truly dedicated to teaching my partner and me what we need to do to dance properly, not just memorize steps. From the very beginning, she helped my partner get out of his shell when he was extremely uncomfortable starting dance lessons, and her supportive but confident teaching style made all the difference. Sarah isn’t afraid to give constructive criticism, which we really appreciate, because it’s clear she wants you to improve and succeed. She has given us the confidence we need to become good, self-assured dancers—not just for our wedding day, but for all of life’s future events where dancing is part of the experience. Dancing is a life skill, not just a wedding skill, and Sarah truly understands that. We are so grateful for her patience, honesty, and passion for teaching dancing.

Hello there! I'm Sarah Stokes, the owner of Dance with Sarah. I know that learning to dance can be very intimidating to some, but it is my goal to meet each and every dance student and help them accomplish their dance goals. I love to help engaged couples (and sometimes their parents as well) to feel comfortable and confident while having all eyes on them on the dance floor.
No matter what your dancing intention is, whether it is working on simple skills to keep from feeling embarrassed, or creating an elegant and traditional first dance, or a coming up with a quirky showstopper dance routine, I can help!
Dance with Sarah is located in Orangevale, California. Lessons for wedding couples are private and perfect for individuals that are more comfortable with one on one instruction instead of a large studio environment. If you are looking to hire an instructor to teach at an event, I also teach group dance lessons outside of the studio.

Well Hello! Thanks for checking out my dance page. My name is Sarah Stokes and I started dancing in 2004. When I started it was just for fun, a fun pastime if you will. I walked into a country bar & was amazed at how much fun everyone on the dance floor was having. Thats when I began to learn line dancing. A few months later I started to learn ballroom dancing as a student. Before I knew it, the Ballroom Studio asked me to train to be an instructor, so I did. Now I teach on my own at my studio, and at events, and I really look forward to working with you to make your perfect first dance!
