Owner Holly Warner has a deep love of nature and is committed to sustainable, eco-friendly practices in every arrangement, sourcing seasonal and local blooms first, composting, and using foam-free, reusable mechanics rather than toxic single-use materials. Every design is fully custom, with no preset packages, so blooms are chosen specifically to match each couple's taste and wedding style, from ceremony arches and aisle installations to reception centerpieces, hanging florals, and draping.
Dancing Stems Design has designed weddings at some of New York City's most sought-after venues, including Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Winery, The William Vale, River Cafe, The Foundry, SECOND, Greenpoint Loft, Prospect Park Boathouse and The Bordone. Whether the setting is an industrial warehouse, a lush garden, or a riverside dining room, each design is built around the venue's own character rather than a one-size-fits-all aesthetic, and the team is equally comfortable adapting to a brand-new space they haven't worked in before.
The process begins with an inquiry detailing your vision, venue, and inspiration. You'll receive a custom proposal with mood boards and seasonal recommendations, followed by a video consultation to review everything together. A 50% deposit secures your date, and colors, scope, and budget can be revised at any point along the way, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the event. Because Dancing Stems Design takes on just one event per day, most couples book six to twelve months ahead, especially during peak wedding season from May through October, though inquiries at any stage of planning are always welcome.
Beyond weddings, Dancing Stems Design also designs florals for corporate events and intimate celebrations, from product launches and galas to engagement parties and elopements, and takes on just one event per day so nothing about your celebration gets less than full attention. Full-service investment starts at $5,000, with a la carte options starting at $1,000 for smaller gatherings, and larger statement installations available for couples looking to go bigger. After the celebration, guests are always welcome to take the flowers home, along with the vases if they'd like. was incredibly collaborative throughout the entire process - reworking and refining the design as many times as I needed without hesitation. She also made a real effort to stay within our budget and even helped us cut costs toward the end when we needed to scale back, thoughtfully adjusting things like moving ceremony florals inside to bar areas and incorporating greenery in creative ways that still felt intentional and beautiful.
Holly also remembered all the little details I almost forgot (like florals for our flat lays and flower girl petals) which made such a difference leading up to the day.
Out of all our vendors, she was easily one of the most responsive, organized, and dependable. She didn’t just do florals; she helped transform the entire atmosphere of our 3 part venue (ceremony, cocktail & reception area), including candles and overall table styling to match the mood we were going for. We loved her free-flowing, wild, ikebana-inspired design style.
Other florists with a similar aesthetic quoted us at least 30%+ more (nearly $5K more) for even fewer flowers, so the value was incredible as well.
