About this vendor
Located in Brooklyn, NY and serving Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the greater NYC area, Dancing Stems Design creates full-service floral decor and fully custom designs for weddings and events. With a sculptural, organic, effortless, and artful style, this team brings each vision to life through color, texture, and movement, ensuring every celebration feels unmistakably personal. The aesthetic draws inspiration from natural landscapes, favoring seasonal, textural blooms over anything overly formal or formulaic.
Owner Holly Warner has a deep love of nature and is committed to sustainable, eco-friendly practices in every arrangement, sourcing seasonal and local blooms first, composting, and using foam-free, reusable mechanics rather than toxic single-use materials. Every design is fully custom, with no preset packages, so blooms are chosen specifically to match each couple's taste and wedding style, from ceremony arches and aisle installations to reception centerpieces, hanging florals, and draping.
Dancing Stems Design has designed weddings at some of New York City's most sought-after venues, including Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Winery, The William Vale, River Cafe, The Foundry, SECOND, Greenpoint Loft, Prospect Park Boathouse and The Bordone. Whether the setting is an industrial warehouse, a lush garden, or a riverside dining room, each design is built around the venue's own character rather than a one-size-fits-all aesthetic, and the team is equally comfortable adapting to a brand-new space they haven't worked in before.
The process begins with an inquiry detailing your vision, venue, and inspiration. You'll receive a custom proposal with mood boards and seasonal recommendations, followed by a video consultation to review everything together. A 50% deposit secures your date, and colors, scope, and budget can be revised at any point along the way, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the event. Because Dancing Stems Design takes on just one event per day, most couples book six to twelve months ahead, especially during peak wedding season from May through October, though inquiries at any stage of planning are always welcome.
Beyond weddings, Dancing Stems Design also designs florals for corporate events and intimate celebrations, from product launches and galas to engagement parties and elopements, and takes on just one event per day so nothing about your celebration gets less than full attention. Full-service investment starts at $5,000, with a la carte options starting at $1,000 for smaller gatherings, and larger statement installations available for couples looking to go bigger. After the celebration, guests are always welcome to take the flowers home, along with the vases if they'd like. Reach out to share the specifics of your celebration and receive a custom proposal built around your date, venue, and vision.

We highly recommend Dancing Stems for your wedding florals! Our guests were complimenting our flowers NON-STOP! They created the bridal bouquet of our dreams and crafted a stunning...
chuppah that made our ceremony so special.
Holly was incredibly easy to work with. She understood our vision and was respectful of our budget constraints.
THANK YOU!
Working with Holly at Dancing Stems was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were absolutely obsessed with our flowers!
She completely nailed the vision I had and...
was incredibly collaborative throughout the entire process - reworking and refining the design as many times as I needed without hesitation. She also made a real effort to stay within our budget and even helped us cut costs toward the end when we needed to scale back, thoughtfully adjusting things like moving ceremony florals inside to bar areas and incorporating greenery in creative ways that still felt intentional and beautiful.
Holly also remembered all the little details I almost forgot (like florals for our flat lays and flower girl petals) which made such a difference leading up to the day.
Out of all our vendors, she was easily one of the most responsive, organized, and dependable. She didn’t just do florals; she helped transform the entire atmosphere of our 3 part venue (ceremony, cocktail & reception area), including candles and overall table styling to match the mood we were going for. We loved her free-flowing, wild, ikebana-inspired design style.
Other florists with a similar aesthetic quoted us at least 30%+ more (nearly $5K more) for even fewer flowers, so the value was incredible as well.
We would absolutely choose her again and recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

arned she’s originally from California (a fun connection since we’re based here too!) — I felt completely at ease. She was incredibly professional while still being warm, approachable, and genuinely excited about my ideas.
I came to her with a very colorful but specific palette in mind, and she met my enthusiasm with her own, brainstorming thoughtful ways to bring it to life while still being mindful of our budget. Despite her busy schedule, Holly was always timely and thorough in her responses, which made the planning process so seamless.
When we walked into our room reveal on the wedding day, I was absolutely speechless. It was better than my inspiration boards — it truly felt like she had listened to every detail I’d shared and brought it to life in a way I couldn’t have even imagined. My only regret was not having more time to thank her in person that day! I loved my bouquet so much that I’m having it preserved as a keepsake!
Holly is an incredibly talented florist and a joy to work with. If you’re considering her for your event, don’t hesitate — you will not be disappointed. Thank you a thousand times over Holly!

email. I had an overall idea of the colors/look I had in mind but was otherwise very happy to have her execute the florals in the way she deemed best, and they turned out amazing!! She was also very flexible at making small adjustments to our floral plan when necessary, whether I was adding another centerpiece or adjusting the amount of smaller pieces we needed due to a change in guest count. I also appreciate her commitment to sustainability in using seasonal florals and composting. So many of our guests and even some of our vendors commented on how beautiful the flowers were. Thank you so much Holly!!

she was a local florist and really loved her style in putting pieces together. We had a rough idea of colour palettes for the wedding but that quickly went out the window when I found a dinner plate I loved and Holly adapted so well to match the florals with the plate's colours. Her reference boards were really helpful in helping us see it all come together.
On the day was so seamless, we were getting ready and all of a sudden the flowers are all there and on the stage and beautiful, the colours popped so well in the venue and complimented the plate so well. The flowers were better than anything we could have ever expected. Holly is super talented and professional, she worked within our budget throughout, we thoroughly recommend her for any wedding or event you may have, you won't be disappointed!

florist who was available and within out budget. However, Holly came in and saved the day! She gave us the chuppah and flowers of our dreams. She made the space feel warm and romantic. It was perfection!
Holly was my fairy godmother through this whole process! As a bride who was extremely hands on and did the majority of planning on my own, florals were my biggest blind spot. Holly...
listened to all my manic panicked ideas and uncertainty. Guiding me so gently and thoroughly through the process. She was so transparent about everything from pricing to aesthetic realities. She didn’t push me to do anything more than what we could afford, which wasn’t my experience with about 8+ other floral vendors I spoke with when making my decision. I hit the jackpot; going above and beyond to meet with me to walk through the space ahead of the wedding and respond to every email with questions and changes up until the final days. Walking into our venue moments before our ceremony and seeing the light (figurative and literally) she brought to the space… I was speechless and all I could do was hug her!!
You will not regret working with Holly and her team, they made absolute magic happen and she's an absolute joy to be around. I told her I wanted her to hire me, even with my novice and naive flower knowledge :). We love the Dancing Stems team!!!

Holly was first of all, so kind, so flexible, and so reasonable. I softly explained that we did not want to go overboard with our florals but wanted a special touch on our wedding,...
with warm fall colors, and without saying much more, she absolutely NAILED the mood board and look book. Throughout the process I changed a few things, removed and then added things like taper candles (very last minute) and she never had negative feedback or pushback. She was so open to changes, open to working around our budget, and just so spot on in understanding what we were picturing. She sincerely produced the classy park wedding bouquet and tables of my dreams, and our arch is something that I truly could not be happier to have in all of my photos to get to look at for the rest of my life. She did excellent work for reasonable pricing in comparison to some of the monsters I had spoken to prior to her and throughout her process - and I truly could not have been happier to have found her. Could not recommend her more. What a treat and a gem!!
