D&J DJ Service Sound and Lighting

My sister recommended this company and, specifically, Greg Aloise, after attending a wedding he DJ’d and he did not disappoint! Greg was fantastic at reading the room and mixing the music to keep the energy up and the party going! I’ve been to many weddings with a range of different DJ impressiveness, and Greg has been hands down the best I’ve seen. He is hugely talented and I highly recommend for an epic dance party at any event.

When I say we could have pick a better DJ we mean it! After a very stressful wedding planning adventure! The easiest part was our DJ! Don was our DJ at our wedding which was at the mendenhall inn! The lighting that he had was amazing! And even as the dancing started it was amazing! We had Disney music playing during dinner and he help us with that request! Every single one of our guest came up and told us How much fun they had dancing! Our dance floor was packed all night! He made my wedding night so much more special because of what a great time everyone had!! I would recommend him to anybody! We could not thank him enough!!

Greg was awesome!! I had so many people compliment/ ask who our DJ was. He did a great job of mixing music and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Don at D&J was easy to work with and was right on point knowing Greg would be the perfect DJ for our big day.

Don was the perfect DJ for our wedding! We were planning a wedding from a distance and he made everything so easy for us. He responded so promptly with any concern or question that we had. He read our crowd so well and our dance floor was full the whole night, even our grandparents were dancing! Don added so much to make our wedding the best night we could've imagined and we highly recommend him!

We had Greg DJ our wedding and he was great! Our guests were dancing the whole night which was our number one goal. We also went with up-lighting which totally transformed the room and I totally recommend! Greg called a week before the wedding to make sure he had all the correct songs and knew the correct pronunciation for each person in our bridal party. He introduced all of the dances, toasts, and made sure our night went smoothly. He was a great and fun guy to work with and I highly recommend him!! Many of our guests mentioned that we had the best music and really enjoyed our wedding!

Don was the DJ at our wedding on March 30, 2019 and I really can't express enough how amazing he was! He was so helpful in the process of planning and was able to guide us in finding what suited us best. He was thorough, helpful, responds almost immediately to any form of communication, and was able to find (and play!) every song we requested. Don read the room so well and played the right music for every moment. He made sure we were having a good time and would change up the music depending on the situation and who was dancing. He handled the speeches and the special dances really well! Overall, Don was the BEST choice and I couldn't have been happier with his work and how our big day turned out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Don is an amazing DJ! You would not be disappointed with his services! Upon the first meeting, he demonstrates his skills and expertise by playing music and making suggestions about what types of music works well with each part of the reception: dinner into dancing! He also has a lot of uplighting to create any atmosphere you want during dinner and party with dancing! He's very responsive to your thousands of emails and very communicative! He allows you to dictate the type of reception and party you want and helps you when your brain can no longer think with decision-making! He's a very personable person and exhibits that on the dance floor! During our reception, he was interacting with our family and friends, making it fun experience! I've still gotten plenty of compliments on what a wonderful job Don did and how much fun the party was! I wouldn't look any where else!

Don was so great to work with, he kept our uplighting classy, kept everyone on the dance floor and made our ceremony and reception absolutely perfect! He went above and beyond and even collaborated with our cousins so that they could perform during our reception. We cannot recommend him enough to DJ your special day. He even had us over to us studio to go through a list of tracks prior to the wedding to make sure he hit our musical style spot on. We had a blast and didn’t have to worry about a thing, thanks don!

We hired D&J DJ Service after speaking with Don at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom bridal open house. Don was great every time we reached out to him - he helped us get through the initial set up of the contract and a general idea of what we wanted. He paired one of his DJ's with us based on how he thought the personalities would fit and what we were looking for as far as music, so it felt very personalized. Extremely professional and easy to work with. Our actual DJ for the wedding was DJ Steve Carroll, and all I can say is - WOW. What an awesome guy! He called us several days before the wedding to touch base and make sure we were comfortable with everything and that there were no changes to the music line up. He gave us advice on what to do the night of, assured us that he'd make sure the officiant was miked up if needed, and generally just put us at ease in those last few stressful days of tying up loose ends. He managed the uplighting for the ballroom, had the equipment out and up seamlessly. During the wedding, he managed the music for the ceremony and reception and was just awesome. He took all of the cues and helped us along while working with the venue coordinator to make sure we were on time and where we were supposed to be. He made sure to check with us on name pronunciations, played along when I (the bride) fumbled the intro and first dance start, and generally was just an all around awesome guy to have leading the night. There aren't enough stars to give for this! We are so more than happy with the service we got that we will be recommending D&J and specifically DJ Steve to everyone we come across.

From the very first phone call to get information, to the jam session at our initial meeting, to our actual wedding, Don was exceptional! He gives you "homework" to do so that he gets to know more about you as a couple and the type of people he will be entertaining at your wedding. Because of this, our dance floor was packed. To me, that is going above and beyond! He strives to make your wedding day the best day of your life, and he does it so effortlessly. The only complaint we received about our wedding was that the dance floor was TOO SMALL!! Our guests keep calling to ask for his contact information!! Don was AMAZING!!

I first met Don at a bridal show where I won a door prize for $ off of D&J dj services. I am so glad I did because from start to finish Don was AMAZING. He was so much fun and kept the dance floor packed all night. He was a huge hit with our guests and played a great mix of music, he was very easy to get a hold of and definitely has what he does down to a science. I would definitely recommend Don and D&J to anyone I know getting married/hosting a party in the future. Thanks Don!

Don and Greg were absolutely amazing! As the groom my biggest concern was finding a great DJ and Don and Greg definitely didn't disappoint. They got the party going better than I could have ever imagined...It's been 2 months since my wedding and people are still talking about how awesome Greg was. I would recommend them highly! There isn't anyone better!

Steve from D&J was the DJ for my wedding this past weekend at Worsell Manor and he was fantastic! We gave him ideas of music we wanted played, and he put his spin on it as well! I love how he has a great, upbeat personality! We got so many compliments on how wonderful our DJ was, and how people didn't want the night to end! He also was kind enough to give my fiance (now husband) and I advice to make sure to take a moment to take everything in together, and also to make sure we eat! He made our wedding reception!!

I used D&J DJ services for my wedding. My husband found him by searching on the internet and I am so glad that he did. The way it worked for us is that Don worked with us up to a week before the wedding, then he handed over our file to the person who would actually do our Djing. Don was amazing from the first meeting. He really knew what he was doing and he showed the skills that his DJ's were capable of. Then he asked us what music we liked and what we were thinking so that he could match us with one of his DJ's. He also took into account our budget and took a couple hundred off so that if we needed an extra hour, we would be able to have it and still be in our budget. He was responsive to my emails and the DJ we got, Steve Carroll, was fantastic as well. I had so many people impressed with him and wanting him to DJ for a party they were going to have. We needed two systems for our ceremony and reception and he did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend him and D&J! They really care about their clients and it shows in their work.

Don from D&J services was helpful from the beginning. My fiance and I were impressed from the first meeting, as Don took the time to really show us what we would be getting with his services. My guests danced the night away including an extra hour! The dance floor was never empty. Don listened to all of my requests, especially my request fro non traditional wedding music! It was perfect I had the best time of my life! The wrong version of our first dance song was played but we didnt mind and Don made it up to us later in the night by playing the correct version.

This is a tough one to review. If you ask how Don Timlin was the day of our wedding as a DJ, I'll tell you 5 stars. If you ask how the process was working with him months leading up to our wedding, I'll tell you 1-2 stars. He's busy and does this as a second job - I get that. But I was not thrilled with the operation of his business and they way he chose to communicate. As a business woman, I have high expectations of how someone follows up with me, especially if I am a paying customer. His consultation session was long but helpful, which was why we booked him. Again, we had so much fun dancing at our wedding and he did a great job emceeing the night. He just was not my favorite person to work with, especially as a busy bride.

We are not big dancers, so we were a little nervous about what kind of music to put together. Don was so friendly and helpful, and worked with us to put together ideas that would work for our guests. He was super funny and interacted with our guests, my friends loved him. The music was great and people danced until the venue closed up at the end of the night.

D&J DJ Service is an EXCELLENT joice for a DJ for your wedding. Very professional, talented, wonderful DJ overall. Price is reasonable, everyone was dancing and loved the music, returned all my phone calls immediately. Don the DJ has a great personality! I would HIGHLY recommend!

I want to 1st just say that I have had dozens of brides tell me I need to meet with Don. I was so excited to set up an appointment when I saw a bad review on this site. What do I do? I decided to meet with him and we clicked on EVERY NOTE! I couldn't believe what all goes into a wedding. He has music down to a ART! WOW! JUST WOW! So, I had to bring it up about the bad review. He calmly showed me that he NEVER did business with her and how he jumped through hoops to answer all her questions but she kept asking more questions. She wanted a DJ with 2 sound systems & up-lighting for 500.00. Well I didn't get that kind of price but he did give me a GREAT DEAL. I guess just like their are bad DJs out there, I am sure there are some Loony brides out there too. Please don't take my word. Meet him & I promised you will realize real quick why he has been rated # 1 DJ in Delaware.

We had Don as our DJ for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. We were blown away when we went to meet with him as he took us through a mock wedding reception. We loved what he showed us and knew he was passionate about getting the guests into it. I sent him a list of way too many songs but he didn't say a word and used his judgement to pick out the ones he thought would go over well. I also had him do the music for the ceremony as I wanted some not so traditional songs and he did that perfectly. He was a great MC, he came to us before announcing everyones names to make sure he said them correctly and definitely made the reception flow. We had a fabulous time dancing and he's great at playing off that energy. I would definitely recommend their services!

D&J DJ came from a referral from two different people we know. From the first time we met with Don to our actual wedding night, we have been extremely pleased with this company! Their customer service, professionalism, and true knowledge of the business makes these DJs a step above the rest! Greg Aluise was our DJ and he was excellent! The dance floor was packed the entire night, with people raving about how great the wedding music was! We would recommend them to anyone who asked. In fact, my sister booked already for her September 2013 wedding. I will continue to pass the name D & J DJs around among my friends and family! Couldn't be happier!

Don from D&J DJ service was an excellent choice for our wedding DJ. We were amazed from the initial visit. They did the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music. I'm sure it was somewhat of a challenge but Don kept the dance floor packed, even though my new husband and I are not big dancers. The entire event went very smoothly and D&J DJ Service was a key reason for this. We had guests of all ages tell us they had a blast from grandparents to friends. Don was able to ensure our entire crowd had a great time!! I would without a doubt reserve D&J DJ services again!

My husband and I met with Don and we were very impressed with him. He took the time to get a sense of our style and played some sample music. We booked Greg for our wedding and were very pleased! Most of our guests were out on the floor dancing, which was awesome considering the youngest was 2 and the oldest were in their 80s! Greg mostly played music, which we liked - he did not do any games or spend half the night talking! The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that he did not play every song on our list. Also the timing of some of the songs did not fit, like we were taking pictures during one of the songs I wanted to be on the dance floor for, but that part was not really in his control. Overall I would recommend meeting with Don and he can find a DJ that suits your personality - I know he did with us!

A DJ truly makes or breaks the party and DJ Don did an awesome job!! He DJ'd my wedding, my sisters wedding and a few friends and they were all so much fun and really the best weddings i've ever been to! I highly recomend him..

Don made my wedding spectacular! All the guests at my wedding are raving about the DJ. Don sat down with my husband and me and discussed the style and type of wedding we had in mind. We then worked with him to create a list of songs and discuss the equipment we would need. Don was professional and fun without being cheesey. He played music that had the whole place on their feet all night. I cannot say enough positive things about D&J DJ Services. Once you talk with Don, you will know what a good decision it is to book him for your wedding!

I went to a wedding where he was the DJ and when I got married decided to see if he was available. Don was available and so we went with him for my wedding. It was a great time! The music selection was wonderful and he did everything we asked of him which was really nice! Plus his MC'ing abilities are really good. I would highly recommend him!

D&J DJ service was AWESOME! At our initial consultation, this company did a full demo of the kinds of music that they would play for our wedding so that they could be sure that they knew what we wanted (which no other DJ service offered to do for us), then matched us with Greg, who was a perfect fit for our taste in music. We liked this company's demo so much that we decided not to give them a specific list of songs to play. We just let Greg do his thing! Greg kept the dance floor packed all night, kept the talking to a minimum (as requested), and was a great guy to work with all around. The price was fair, the service was excellent, and we got a TON of compliments on the music.

Highly recommended, and I see why. After meeting with Don Timlin my husband and I came away thinking this guy really knows his stuff. We let him know what we had in mind and he added things to make our night even more special. DJ Super Dan was the one who actually DJ'ed at the wedding and the dance floor was packed all night. The guests said it was a great selection of songs.Thank you Don and Super Danfor making our reception a memory that will last a lifetime!!!

With a semi-difficult crowd - did his very best to get everyone up and dancing. Don was absolutely fabulous and I would recommend him again and again!

While planning the wedding my fiance and I decided that if were going to pay a little more for something it would be the DJ. We both have been to weddings with a not so stellar DJ and knew that it was something that was very important to us, not to mention we both have fathers that are VERY into music. Friends of ours used D&J DJ Service for their wedding and had wanted to use Don Timlin but he was not available for their date, we were able to get him. The music selections were great, everyone was up and dancing until the very end of the night, which is exactly what we wanted!! We were very happy with our choice, even if it was more than we had intented to spend on the DJ.
