He ghosted me for 3 months after promising he’d have everything to us. He had various excuses and I was understanding. However, he did not reply March-June. Once he finally did reply after I called and texted an annoying amount and he was extremely rude. He apparently was going back to school and I can totally understand that he’s busy…but he again promised TWICE that he’d get us what we agreed upon and now he’s ghosting me again.
Anyone else having this problem?

what we were looking for, and he was local.
When we didn’t book right away, Daniel reached out to us asking if we were planning on booking because he had another couple interested in our date. Now, we had already decided to book with him, so we didn’t view this as pressuring or anything at the time. It could very well be the truth. In retrospect given everything else we went through, I can’t help but wonder if there was another couple.
At this point in time, Daniel responded to text messages and emails almost immediately.
We had booked well in advance, paid half the amount, so there was some time where there was no communication, and that was expected.
Come February, I started asking about scheduling the engagement session. This is when Daniel became very difficult to reach. Often not responding until I had texted or emailed multiple times. Over the course of the next couple months, when he did respond it was to offer excuses about why he’d been unreachable. Nothing was ever scheduled. First it was March was full, then his cameras were being sent away to be calibrated, then his child was sick, then “he wasn’t reachable by phone”, next a family emergency out of town and his cell phone had been run over by a car.
By the time the second week of May rolled around, we had no engagement photos scheduled, he hadn’t submitted the insurance to our venue, and we had discovered that his website, and The Knot accounts were showing that he was permanently closed, which we had not been informed about. My husband also discovered some reviews that had been posted since we had initially booked with Daniel. They detailed a lot of what we were experiencing. How difficult he was to contact, the excuses were remarkably similar to what we were hearing, and they even detailed horror stories of him showing up to their wedding with only 1 photographer when there were supposed to be 2, how he hadn’t taken pictures of the reception because he had to operate the photo booth because he didn’t bring help. I had already been very concerned, the concern now turned to alarm.
With our wedding being June 3rd, I was asking for assurances that he was even going to be able to provide the services he was contractually obligated to at this point. I cannot begin to describe the amount of angst I felt as a bride as I began to realize there was a very real possibility Daniel was scamming us and I had lost faith that he would keep his word.
With no assurances, engagement photos, or insurance submitted, I was not comfortable paying him the rest of the amount. I was at the point of distraction as a photographer is such a key part of the wedding and photos are very important to me. We made the difficult decision to notify him of our lack of faith in his abilities and that we no longer required his services, realizing there was a very real chance we would be eating the money we had already paid him at this point. After we left this message, he NEVER communicated with us. I at least expected him to put up a little resistance. But there was never a call to say that we were wrong, he was going to take our pictures, no apologies for all the heartache his lack of professionalism had caused. So all I can say is BEWARE!!!
Daniel photographed our wedding in 2021 in Chicago and we were happy to hire him again for our 2023 reception!

I’ve been to a LOT of weddings. All my Sisters, and most of my friends are married and I went to their weddings.
I’ve never seen a photographer work as hard as Dan did. Our portfolio is beautiful and we just ordered another album for my Mom for an early Christmas present. She wanted to show her friends while she’s traveling and isn’t very tech savvy.
She received it today before we left to go home and again we are blown away by the beauty and quality!

we had made a great choice.
We were blown away during our engagement session! We never really had professional photos taken and he made it way more fun than we thought it would be. Then we saw our engagement photos, which solidified our decision.
On the day of our wedding everything that could go wrong on our end, did.
Dan was not only calm, he never skipped a beat. He’s outgoing and always positive. We could not be more happy with our entire wedding portfolio.
Though editing did take a bit, we love them all and once we chose our favorites, we received our prints quickly right through the portfolio.
Our expectations were again exceeded. We loved working with Dan and will recommend him to any couple.

efore we even saw our edited photos that we had made the Best choice! After interviewing Daniel we then had more of an idea as to what we were looking for in a photographer. He explained things that others did not so Cory and I agreed to book him on the Zoom call even though he insisted that we take our time and that we didn’t need to make the decision right then, wow I’m glad we did because he was the right choice.
We set a date for our engagement session and didn’t realize just how much fun it was going to be.
Daniel explained that he offered engagement sessions not as an extra to entice couples, it’s a way for us to get to know him and vice versa.
We had a complete blast and I really have never like my pictures taken, until now that is.
When our wedding day came we knew exactly what to expect and not only did Daniel deliver, he exceeded all our expectations!
We received around 500 photos plus some additional copies in black and white for our 9 hour day.
It did take a while to get our photos yet we didn’t feel it was terribly long knowing he’s a working photographer. We knew that above all, we would get them and love them.
When we did it was a beautiful digital portfolio with printing options right there! He was very transparent with his pricing and we are so in love with our portfolio that we felt like we should have paid much more. I’ve been to all 5 of my friend’s weddings in the past 3 years and they were all at my wedding as well.
Every one of my bridesmaids made comments about how they wished they could have afforded a photographer like Daniel, little did they know, wink wink.
I’m not big on writing reviews. When I do I believe they should be fair and honest with details.
Daniel is deserving of every compliment he receives.
We’ve never seen a photographer work like he did. He didn’t just work hard, he made people happy and helped them smile in ways I didn’t even know were possible. We did take time for poses and those were what we chose to print, yet the candid moments that he delivered will be with us forever.
We were never rushed, which I can’t say about all the people we hired and Daniel even went out of his way to work with everyone we hired to make sure our day was perfect. He made us feel like we were the center of the universe and even stopped me from apologizing all day.
Our family and friends adored him and his work ethic. Like we had to force him to sit down and eat!
As a Bride who put off our wedding for almost 2 years I can wholeheartedly say, hire him as quickly as you can.
You will NOT regret it. I’ve already referred him 3 times since our wedding and he was only available for 1 of the dates. I won’t apologize though (you’ll get that if you’re lucky enough to hire him)
