I recognized Daniel's name from a friend's engagement pics (which were absolutely stunning) when I saw his stand at a venue open house. After like 2 minutes of talking to him, I decided that I needed to make sure he was available before choosing my wedding date because he was so genuine and genuinely invested in our conversation (keep in mind this was several weeks before I was even engaged). After booking Daniel, he set up a time to meet me, my fiancé, and my family for coffee to just get to know us to be able to create a personalized experience before he even drafted a contract. He tailored everything specifically to what was most important to us, and, even more than just for photography's sake, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us as people. Our engagement session was a BLAST. My fiancé and I were a bit wary of getting photographed, but once Daniel got to work, we were both at ease. He made the experience so simple and so fun. He was cracking jokes with us and trying fun stylistic things, and we all really enjoyed the session and just getting to hang out together. He gave us a TON of incredible shots to choose from our engagements. My bridal session went so well. Taking pics around my venue with Daniel was like hanging out with a friend and I just happened to be in a wedding dress. He got some beautiful pictures of me, but he made sure to capture some more fun, relaxed ones that captured my personality better. Having Daniel there as our wedding photographer day of was wonderful. He was such a bro and got a lot of good pre-wedding content. Post-ceremony portraits were quick and efficient, which we super appreciated. We just received our wedding photos back about a week ago and, MAN OH MAN, Daniel did not hold back. I ended up posting 1600+ pictures to Facebook (not sorry), and that was after narrowing it down to my favorites. Yes, Daniel Colvin Photography may be a bit pricier than some other popular photographers, but he is absolutely worth it. A lot of wedding day choices only matter the day of, but years from now, these pictures are what I'll have to look back on, and Daniel captured our day perfectly. Daniel is SO GREAT it’s hard to know where to start! My then fiancé and I felt his genuine warmth and sincerity from the moment we sat down for our consultation. We were looking for a photographer who would take the time and effort to seek out the truly meaningful moments. Now 2 years later, our engagement and wedding day photos do exactly that! How do we start? Daniel is a terrific photographer, not only super professional but ultra passionate about it! My fiancee was never a photo guy but Daniel made him fee totally comfortable all the time. The synergy between him, his assistant, my doggy and us was absolutely lovely. We had a lot of fun all together doing the photoshoot (many hours passed so fast despite the cold weather in Paris!) And the result was AMAZING! We couldn't be happier with the beautiful memories captured by Daniel. We totally recommend his work! VERY pleasant to work with & breathtaking pictures.

Daniel was a joy to work with for our engagement shoot. Although Daniel is Houston-based, he's willing to travel worldwide and we were thrilled to utilize him in Colorado. His photography speaks for itself. We "met" virtually and instantly could feel his passion for capturing love. When it came time for the actual shoot, his natural instincts took over to guide us along the way to capture some amazing shots. He never wanted to stage anything, which can feel unnatural. He was able to make us feel comfortable while getting our photos taken, something we didn't have much experience with prior. He was up for doing whatever it took to get the right shot. It was such an adventure from start to finish with him, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide on our journey. The end result was stunning. Daniel was an instant best friend to my husband and I. We were so nervous because we both have never been photographed before in this setting, and he instantly made us feel so at ease. We laughed the entire time and had such an incredible time. Daniel’s photos make me feel like a movie star and I will recommend him to anyone who will listen until the day I die! Going into wedding planning, a great photographer was at the top of my list of must haves, and let’s just say, Daniel delivered!! His ability to capture the emotion, personality, and uniqueness of people in unparalleled. Daniel shot our engagements, my bridals, and our wedding, which was so special because he got to be there through the entire journey and capture it all. He really told our story and did it phenomenally! When we look back at all of our photos, they are so special because he didn’t just capture the moments in time, but he captured US! Everything about my husband and I that makes us special is forever in our photos. We have been married for a little over a year now, and we look back through our photos all the time and every time it brings us right back. It’s like we get to relive all of those memories again and again. Seriously, tears every time. Not only is he incredibly talented but he is also a seasoned vet that will make the entire process stress free. Not once did I have to worry about anything. (Which says A LOT coming from a classic Type A personality). I always knew I could count on him to be there and capture AMAZING photos. He knows all the right questions to ask and will always be on your side when it comes to making sure you get the photos that you want, not that everyone else wants. Plus, shooting with him is a BLAST! My husband and I were so nervous right before our engagement session and Daniel made us feel so comfortable and natural. If it wasn’t already obvious, you should hire him!! It will be the best decision you make! (Other than getting married of course!)

TLDR: Hire Daniel - it will be one of the best decisions you make, and he is worth every single penny. He is an artist and meticulous professional with an easygoing vibe. It isn't easy to put words around what Daniel's work means to my husband, Kyle, and me. Like many couples who had wedding plans in 2020, our planning hit an abrupt stop with the onset of the pandemic. In addition to how overwhelming wedding planning felt, even without a pandemic, we had to grapple with the uncertainty of what the future held and how to get married safely. We decided to get married a few months earlier than expected with just our immediate families. Daniel was one of the few vendors we had booked when we decided to adjust our plans, and he could not have been accommodating and supportive. He went above and beyond his job description as our photographer. When we queued him in on the changes, he spent over an hour on the phone with me, hashing out the ceremony's new vision. Daniel was attentive to our thoughts and emotions and how he could capture our wedding, especially with this unexpected twist. On the day of the wedding, he far surpassed our expectations. We are not a couple that is comfortable in front of the camera, so the experience of being photographed throughout the day was foreign to us. Daniel was so stealthy during the ceremony that we almost forgot he was there (mind you, we were in a small room with ~10 people). After the ceremony, Daniel took our portraits as newlyweds. Daniel skillfully directed us to different areas and posed us so naturally that it didn't feel like uncomfortable, goofy wedding photos. He made us feel at ease, and the process was insanely fun. We busted out into genuine laughter more times than I can remember because of the ridiculous banter. In addition to the traditional wedding portraits you typically see, I really wanted to have a few more artistic or unusual photos - Daniel delivered. He brought a unique perspective to the areas we were shooting and identified props we might not have thought of using otherwise (e.g., a massive bird of paradise plant). He created unexpected moments that lead to breathtaking photos. When we got our photos, I was stunned because they were more than I could have imagined. Kyle and I spent hours smiling and reminiscing. My mom cried when she saw the photos because of how beautiful they were and the pictures brought back all the emotions she felt on that day. My mother-in-law felt the same way and made the comment that Daniel captured every single moment she remembered from that day. I could rave forever about how happy we are with our photos and the entire process. Daniel is professional, considerate, and overall great person to spend time around. He crafted a bespoke experience from the proposal to the gallery that made this process feel even more special. It is evident Daniel does what he loves and he is a storyteller above all else. I could not recommend Daniel more and can't wait for him to photograph our vow renewal with our larger group of family and friends in a year.

Choosing Daniel to be our photographer was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding (other than marrying my husband of course!) He did our engagement shoot, bridals, and wedding ceremony and was there with us every step of the way. I LOVED working with Daniel. He is so professional and insightful I wanted to give him rave reviews even before looking at our pictures! He took the time to get to know my husband and I, made everyone feel comfortable on the day of the wedding, and helped us navigate our changing plans in the setting of the pandemic with compassion. I was not surprised that the pictures were incredible but I do not think I was prepared for just HOW incredible. They manage to be both 'fine art' and 'photojournalistic' at the same time. Wow!! Where do I begin.... Daniel was worth every penny spent. He is extremely talented and the most down to earth easy going person ever. He has an eye that brings real emotion to life in pictures. We had Daniel do my bridals along with our wedding and I am so grateful that I found him! His pictures are not staged posey shots that you normally see. He learns about his couples, and uses that to decide on pictures to take capturing who you are in pictures and real raw emotion that makes pictures a million times more valuable. We are so happy with his work and cant say enough good things!

Hiring Daniel was easily the best money I spent on my entire wedding. Photos are one of the only things about a wedding that you spend money on and actually get to KEEP, and I must say that I will continue to look at our wedding photos for the rest of time. Reliving the day through Daniel's camera was so mesmerizing and emotional and beautiful! TRUST ME AND JUST USE DANIEL COLVIN!!!!! My wedding was the most beautiful day of my life and hands down the best decision I made (other than marrying my best friend) was hiring Daniel as our photographer! First of all, he was immediately family! We were so comfortable with him and it was just easy - he knows exactly what he's doing and he's so laid back and loving! Second, his pictures are STUNNING, STRAIGHT OUT OF A MAGAZINE, SHUT YOUR MOUTH SO GOOD! After the wedding was over, he invited my husband and I over to "reveal" the photos, where he had created a slide-show to music, and provided all of our favorite snacks while we cried and viewed our photos. My friends loved him and we had so much fun on the big day! He even pranked my fiance during our engagement photo with an idea him and I came up with together and it was one of the funniest moments ever, and ened up turning into the greatest picture!! I will cherish these pictures FOREVER and I will cherish how special he made us feel!

I truly do not have the words to adequately describe the talent of Daniel Colvin. Not to mention, he’s also a super awesome guy! I had a feeling I’d like him when I initially contacted him, but my husband and I were sold after meeting him for an extended lunch. Never once did he push us, and he even managed to convince me that I didn’t need the second photographer I was set on. True life- hire Daniel Colvin and you won’t! He is down to earth, funny, and super relaxed; everything you’re going to need on your wedding day. For the most part, I completely forgot he was even there on the day of. Don’t worry though, he was and I have AMAZING photographs to prove it! Daniel came over for dinner and a preview party where he put together a slideshow of the day and had samples to assist us with our order. It was such a personalized and special touch to be able to view our photographs like that for the first time, and a huge help to have his assistance in deciding what were the best options for us. My husband and I couldn’t believe that we were looking at OUR wedding photos. We received over 1,200 photos and every. single. one. of them was beautiful. The hardest part of the entire process was choosing the 15% we wanted in our album! I feel so blessed that these are the photographs that will forever represent one of the biggest days of our lives, and I can’t wait to show them to our great-grandchildren 50 years from now. Do yourself a favor- go ahead and hire Daniel. You will be so grateful you did.

I would highly recommend Daniel Colvin for photographing your big wedding day!! He truly catches the heart and soul and fun of the event in photos—I feel like I am reliving all the moments and learning about other amazing moments that happened (because you can't be everywhere at once) while looking through all the photos! That is the best part of our photos! He caught the love, the excitement, the goofy, the goosebumps, the overwhelming emotions, the silly, the hilarity, the awesome, and more! He is one of our absolute favorite vendors we booked and he vibed so well with everyone without making photographing very awkward, especially as the groom and I tend to feel awkward in front of a camera. I wish I could scream from the rooftops what an amazing human being Daniel Colvin is! He is an artist in the purest form. What he can do behind that camera and in an editing room is down right a work of art. When I first met Daniel I knew we would be instant pals. He is such an easy going guy with a killer personality. He was able to shut off any insecurities I felt in front of the camera and really help my husband and I just enjoy the moment. From engagements, to bridals(highly recommend), to the big day, he literally KNOCKED my expectations out of the park. I am still blown away by how he was able to tell the story of our love. Not just my husband and I’s Love but the love of our family and friends. Our tribe. I will never forget opening those photos and becoming a big ball of tears. I honestly couldn’t even find any thing to critize myself on—now that is all his artistry. He made us this really unique wedding books that we still keep on our coffee table and am always super proud to show off. A great photographer was the most important thing for me in planning our wedding, and luckily we managed to snag Daniel. He captured our big day better than I could have hoped for! He was so patient, creative, and fun. We could hardly wait to see how the images turned out, and they could not have turned out any more amazing. There's a big difference between good photographers and great photographers. Daniel is a great one. We felt like he genuinely cared about us and our upcoming wedding. I loved the candid moments he captured and the use of natural lighting. It just seemed like I could feel the love the couples had for one another through his photos. It's true, what he captures is truly authentic, my fiancé and I felt even more connected after taking our engagement pictures with Daniel. Daniel is outstanding! I’ve used him a handful of times now and have never been disappointed. He has a great eye and I always trust his direction. He also knows how to put you at ease during a shoot. I never felt awkward or uncomfortable at all. He can also tell if you aren’t feeling a certain shot or pose. He listens and is very attentive. I wouldn’t ever use anyone else!

Daniel was everything we could have ever wanted in a photographer. The pictures were amazing. We loved the highlight reel he put together for us. We loved the way he handled the prewedding, wedding, and reception, and we felt like his presence at the wedding / ceremony was a very welcome one. Our guests all loved him too. For a dude walking around taking pictures for 12 hours, he did a great job maintaining his composure and staying upbeat. He does a fantastic job of avoid the super posey pictures, and focuses on capturing moments at just the right time. I've seen other people's wedding albums on Facebook and none of them have come close to what Daniel offered us. I highly, highly recommend Daniel for your wedding photographer.

Daniel was amazing from start to finish. He met with us one one on one and truly got to know our personalities and what we envisioned for our engagement, wedding and newly wed photos. Normally I would feel a little awkward having someone take so many photos of me but Daniel warmed us up for our engagement shoot, and it was a blast! Booking with Daniel was hands down the easiest and BEST decision we made during this whole wedding process. I am a bride on a budget, and he worked with that budget with no questions, went into my chaotic timeline like a champ and had a blast with us! So with that said, I’d first like to say he is so FUN to work with! He makes you feel relaxed, helps you with poses without you looking incredibly cheesy or awkward, he manages to capture who YOU really are! (My husband, bridesmaids and groomsmen LOVED him)He’s a story teller. When we got our pictures back, I am not kidding when I said my jaw dropped and was flooded with every good emotion. Every time we look back at the photos, it feels like were reliving the day all over again! And that is EXACTLY what you want from your photos, isn’t it?! He’s so sneaky too, like I mentioned above he captures who you are, during ceremony and reception, I almost forgot he was there, but managed to capture our every move, during the sweet moments, and the quite hilarious ones. By looking at the series of photos, you would have thought we hired at least two-three photographer with how many great shots we got back! And not only were they great candid moments, the quality of photos were perfection. My venue was very dark, so I was a little skeptical how well they could have turned out, but I am not kidding when I say we received perfection back. I feel like I am rambling on at this point, but I really could gush all day about Daniel and his work. THANK YOU for creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful for all you did for us!
