Daniel Min Photography

We had what I would describe as a beautifully chaotic wedding weekend of festivities. It was a multicultural wedding, a merging of two very different cultures. Daniel managed to capture moments that, for me, erased the chaos and fast-moving parts of the festivities. Daniel is a talented photographer, extremely professional, and accessible. But what I think sets him apart is his spirit. He is a nice person, with a calm, and positive spirit. It is not easy being watched and photographed all day, but he made me, as the bride, feel comfortable. He was my favorite of all the various vendors we worked with and I know I will be using him again to capture other special moments in my life.

Daniel Min has the eye of a true artist, understanding how to compose a structurally beautiful photograph. But also a tender one, an intimate one, a funny or joyful one. Every picture dazzles with its humanity and depth of feeling borne by a precision eye and expert craft. We were astonished by almost every image—top bridal magazine level. Bottom line is he is probably the best guy out there. A remarkable photographer and a lovely person. Daniel Min was our wedding photographer for a May wedding at Delfosse Vineyards near Charlottesville. The photographs he took were breathtakingly beautiful and caught all of the important moments and people from wedding preparations to ceremony to reception. Having made his own visit to the venue a month or so before, he had already figured out the best vistas and the light. He had laid his plans! He showed up early on the wedding day. He knows exactly what he wants and managed to be almost invisible while getting every shot or gently guiding people for the formal photos, which were quick and fun to do, as he was so prepared and professional. He is charming and easy without ever being demanding. He simply gets it done with a smile.

We used Daniel for our wedding this summer. He was great to work with and you get a great value for your money. He didn't limit us to a certain time limit - he literally set aside the entire day for our wedding and didn't charge extra for "overtime" or anything like that. We actually took pictures before the wedding at multiple places, so that worked out really well for us since we weren't in a rush or time-crunch. His pictures turned out great and he gave us a printed copy of every picture he had taken, as well as a DVD of all the pictures. It was nice to be able to take my time picking the photos I liked and putting them in a book myself (since I registered for one), then still having extras! He also gave us a couple free larger prints, which was a super nice bonus. My only downside was that he wanted to take pictures when the sun was setting, which was right during our reception. So we left the reception for a little while to take pictures, which at the time was a little frustrating/stressful, but afterwards, the pictures were some of my favorites, so I'm still indifferent as to my feelings about that. Overall, I feel like we got a great experience and product, especially for the money we paid. If you have specific ideas of photos you want taken (that you've seen on Pinterest or something), I'd be sure to print them and bring them with you or have your phone with you so you can share them. Otherwise, you might not get what you've dreamed of getting.

Daniel Min was a pleasure to work with. He was easy going and able to improvise with us when the weather wasn't in our favor. He was able to capture the moment and we hardly noticed he was there. Our pictures turned out wonderful!

Daniel was wonderful to work with. Very communicative and listened very well to all my wishes. He was very good about accommodating our schedule if we were running out of time and letting us enjoy our reception. The pictures were a DREAM and he put together a wonderful photo montage on his website. Best thing about him was that he has NO time limit... he is "yours" for the day and this was a very attractive about his photography package. Hands down, Daniel is a wonderful wedding photographer and you can't go wrong with him!

I think that of all of my vendors, Daniel was my favorite! He was absolutely amazing! Before the wedding he was organized and made sure to have all of our information and requests well before the day so that I was not stressed out right before the wedding day. He was flexible and helpful every step of the way. He was great with keeping us on track and not in a pushy way at all! Coming from DC we thought he a steal! Now to the product; AMAZING! He did such a great job with our pictures! We really could not have been more pleased! He is a wonderful person and an amazing photographer; what more could you possibly want?!? Hire him, hire him, hire him!!!

Daniel and his assistant were absolutely beyond wonderful in photographing our wedding. Daniel is very detail oriented which makes for amazing photos. He took tons of pictures, but I barely noticed him, was great--there's enough stress in a wedding day to have to worry about posing for tons of pictures. He came and met my fiance and me at the church where we got married a few months prior to our wedding and we planned out the specific family "posed" pictures that we wanted and planned out locations throughout the church where we would like to take pictures. Because I live out of state now, I didn't have time to come in for a formal portrait session, so Daniel worked with me and came to my parents house the day of the wedding and did a mini portrait session before my wedding. I could not say enough wonderful things about how much I adore the pictures Daniel took of us on our wedding day.

We just had our wedding in Virginia, and Daniel was our photographer. He was incredible. We live in Los Angeles, and everyone here is always pulling out all the stops for the best of the best. Once we put our slide show up, we got nothing but amazement and tears at the beauty of it all. Daniel is World Class. He captured the emotional feel and the spirit of our intimate affair of 50. And such an incredibly nice person to have around. He also gave us so many great pictures (500!) that we feel like we can make a flip book out of them, and relive the actual event over and over and over again! And THAT is exactly what we hoped for. It was such a great day, that we'll have fun reliving it forever! Thank you Daniel!!!! Beth and Paul
