Daniela Cardili Photography was the first photography vendor we reached out to for our wedding, and it became instantly clear that she and her team were the perfect fit. When going through different photographers' photos on review sites, we fell in love with the stunning compositions and authenticity in Daniela's collections. Shortly after arranging our appointment with her, we also found out that she was a friend's photographer for their wedding - they not only highly recommended her, but said they were planning to book her for their baby shower too. We were excited to meet with her knowing her work and our friend's experience, and she did not disappoint. From the start, she got to know us and what we wanted, and even arranged an example timeline based on our plan for both a morning and evening wedding - which we then used to guide a lot of our initial wedding planning! It was great to have someone so organized and confident involved because it made our planning (we did not have a wedding planner/coordinator) so much easier.
Come the actual wedding day: we were amazed how everything happened like clockwork, and how easily Daniela and Tamara navigated even the craziest parts. Family portraits aren't easy and so we had initially planned to take family portraits then with friends if there was time; but they not only made the family portraits happen, they made them happen in time for us to get all of our friends in too! The attention to the details was simply incredible. They caught wonderful moments of every event across the entire day, of which there were many: getting ready, the Baraat, morning Hindu ceremony, first look, Ketubah signing, evening Jewish ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dancing, and of course, the photoshoots. The photoshoots were nothing short of a dream, to say the least (the photos are plenty proof of that; she also made a beautiful reel on social media). We had so much fun going to our different sites and enjoying our day to the fullest! Seeing how excited they were to be there too made it all even better.
After the wedding, Daniela was able to get us our pictures afterwards with amazing timeliness (despite us essentially having the same number of photos as two weddings!). The results were as breathtaking and stunning as we hoped for and more. We are constantly looking at our online album (so excited for the physical one!) not only because we love how beautiful the photos are, but also because of how intimately they capture the feelings of pure joy that we felt in those moments. Daniela and Tamara were truly an integral part of our wedding - we will forever be thankful for them, and for the wonderful memories they've given us through our time spent together and their truly spectacular photography.

Our wedding took place July 2023 and my husband and I planned our big day in about 6 months time. Initially we tried to avoid a wedding planner so all of our vendors were vetted and decided upon by the two of us. As we both have demanding careers in the medical field, it's taken some time to generate this much deserved ,but untimely review. I would hands down give Daniela Cardili 9 .5 stars out of 5. Not only is she a lovely person with whom to work but also she is organized, friendly, knowledgeable and has a great artistic eye. I was initially captivated by her ability to make photos pop, emote feelings and draw one into the picture be it black/white or color. The photos frankly were so much more dynamic and creative than many of the other vendors I reviewed and I looked at sooooo many!!! From our first meeting on zoom, when she was in South America visiting her family, to our engagement photos braving the sharp fall chill along Lake Michigan and The Chicago River; Daniela took two people who had little experience in front of a camera and made us feel immediately at ease. Her attention to detail is stellar! ie. hands relaxed rather than claws, etc. Our engagement photos were gorgeous and enabled both of us to relax on our big day. She was also helpful in providing other service vendors like a photobooth when we decided that would be a fun option for our guests. Daniela's prices are definitely top tier and I was initially a little overwhelmed by the cost of planning our big day; however, I felt like her expertise, professionalism and helpfulness was worth every penny. She knew our hotel inside and out, helped us orchestrate locations for our first viewing avoiding a bus rental fee, took plenty of bridal party photos along Michigan Avenue and the riverfront and captured so many magical moments. I would highly recommend her services! As for the 9.5 review, my only negative experience was that I had asked in advance for table pictures assuming that to mean a picture of each table with the guests in the photo; instead, there were many pictures of our tables sans guests. I guess that I should have been more specific. All in all, I would hire Daniela Cardili in a heart beat if we had to do it again. I thank her so much for doing such an excellent job!
Daniela is an absolute DREAM to work with. From your first phone call, you will be able to tell just how organized, calm, and caring she is. She really listens to you to make sure she knows what you're looking for and offers helpful suggestions or guidance when you need it, without overstepping whatsoever. She had great recommendations for photo locations, both for our engagement shoot and on our big day. Mind you, it was drizzly on our wedding day so we had to pivot and shoot in completely different locations than what we had planned on, but Daniela took the lead confidently and reassured us that she knew exactly where we could go for beautiful photos indoors. For two people who are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, she coached us on how to pose and made sure to ask if we had any preferences/requests such as "good" sides, specific poses, etc. If you're looking for someone who will seamlessly float everywhere yet not make you feel like you have a camera shoved in your face all day, you need Daniela on your big day!

Choosing Daniela as our wedding photographer was the best possible decision we made for our wedding!! When I was looking for my wedding photographer, I stumbled across Daniela's portfolio and I was immediately impressed with the elegant and timelessness feel of her work. I can't say enough good things about Daniela! She is so detail oriented and very professional. Just amazing!!! Daniela is such a sweet and talented person. Her passion for her job shines through and she takes such good care of her clients. We had an engagement session scheduled for outside and she texted me a few days before to let me know that it was going to be in the teens that day...she was still open to doing it outside if I wanted to (what a trooper). We decided against it but she also provided wonderful indoor suggestions as well. My now husband and I truthfully haven't taken many photos together as we met right before the pandemic. She was very patient with us and taught us everything we needed to know i.e. don't slouch and put your weight on your back leg. She is again so kind and took our individual personalities into account to make sure we had natural and beautiful photos. We also wanted to go off the beaten path a little and she was super passionate about our ideas and found ways to make sure the photos came out well. We had an Indian wedding and she was very knowledgeable about the process and was able to take pictures of every important detail during the ceremony. After the ceremony, the guests, as anyone that has attended an Indian wedding probably knows, decided to go a bit off-script and began to pose with us at the alter. Daniela was so kind and made sure we got a picture with everyone which was so amazing!!! That was not on the list of photos but she went with it and made sure to place us all in the right spot. I am so happy we decided to work with her for our wedding and I know she will be a friend to us for years to come!!! If you are on the fence, meet Daniela or speak to her on the phone and YOU WILL KNOW immediately!
To put simply, Daniela is the best. We did an extensive search for a photographer and reading about Daniela is what first drew us in, but it was our initial conversations we had with her that solidified our choice. Pat originally spoke with her and I remember him telling me so confidently that Daniela was the one. We had another phone call and I knew he was right as Daniela not only knew our vision for our day but also had a lot of great insights for us. We then had the opportunity to have Daniela do our engagement photoshoot and while it was a cold day, she took such amazing shots that we were so confident that our wedding day photos would be priceless… and they were. I met Daniela first as a client of mine and expressed to her that I was still searching for a wedding photographer a month before my wedding. Daniela is so fabulous. She captured such wonderful pictures of the bridal party, guests, and venue. She asked what was most important to me and my husband, and she made sure she honored that. For example, we didn't want to miss all of our cocktail hour, but we still wanted great pictures of the bridal party, and she made it happen. She was able to get us our pictures SO quickly after our wedding, too. If you're looking for a photographer, hire her!
Daniela Cardili photography was one of our most important and best decisions we made for our wedding. There are so many options available in the industry but I truly believe Daniela provides an element to photography that is rare and wonderful - authenticity! Daniela looks at the wedding holistically. She gets to know and understand her clients and forms true connections! I really do think of Daniela as a lifelong friend. My husband and I have never felt more ourselves than from her lens. I think what strikes me the most about Daniela is her ability to capture you at your best self - it's you, just elevated. When she took our engagement photos I remember thinking - she didn't just capture two people, she really captured our love. We just received our wedding photos back (in record time!!) and they are absolutely stunning. Along with our family and friends, we are just elated to be able to relive this special day. Daniela was awesome for our 2019 Summer wedding. She spent a lot of time with us during the engagement session to prep us for the wedding date. She was very accommodating to our requests, even included our pets in the festivities. I’m not a great poser so I got a lot of tips from Daniela. We were able to share with family and friends the the online album, and the final printed album came out great (lots is choices for the cover).
Daniela has been wonderful from her stunning work to traveling last minute to my small home town in Indiana 5 hours away from Chicago so that I could still have the wedding of my dreams during a pandemic. Her work is unbelievable and truly captures the emotions of the day. Any bride would be lucky to have her document your day!
We had such a wonderful experience working with Daniela for our wedding. At the initial meeting, we knew we wanted to work with her – she was very passionate about photography and her job, as well as very timely, organized, and thorough. This was evident during our engagement session and entire wedding day. Daniela was able to provide an experienced voice, recommending wonderful locations all over the city and making sure we never fell behind schedule. We even added a couple extra spots when she noticed a new background or lighting that she could take advantage of. Her photos are beautiful and do an amazing job capturing the entirety of the day, from all of the traditional, yet special moments, to candid shots between us, friends, and family. As an added bonus, we received our edited engagement photos two days after taking them and all of our wedding photos a month later! We could not have been happier with our decision to have chosen Daniela as our photographer.
When searching for a photographer, I knew that I wanted the best and was willing to invest in the best because other than the rings, the photos are the only element of the day that would be with us forever. After seeing Daniela’s eye for beautiful portraiture, I knew she was exactly who I wanted to work with. And we’re lucky enough that she was willing to postpone her annual trip back home to Brazil to shoot our January wedding. We opted to skip the engagement shoot and invest in an album, so I was a little nervous the day of, knowing that the advantage of the engagement shoot was to get comfortable with how a photographer directs their subjects. Daniela arrived early and quickly put us at ease. She’s more quiet than I’m used to photographers being, but like so many have written, that calming demeanor helped us stay relaxed throughout the day. My wife and I don’t consider ourselves very photogenic, but the photos are so beautiful that it’s making it almost impossible to narrow our favorite photos down to forty for our album. And I’m confident that we’ll go back in a couple years to do that skipped “engagement” shoot when we want updated portraits!
Daniella is so sweet and an amazing photographer! She took no short cuts and really made sure to get the right shots. She also has a CRAZY quick turnaround time for engagement and wedding photos. I would absolutely recommend Daniela to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
I took a look at her portfolio online and was very impressed. I reached out to her to setup an initial meeting and she was very responsive and flexible with her schedule. We had an initial meeting over coffee where she was prompt, professional and friendly and our personalities instantly meshed.
I got married at an old mansion turned museum where the ceremony and most of the reception was outside. Daniela met me a 2nd time prior to my wedding day to tour the venue to get some ideas of the best spots to take photos. She also wanted to see how the sun would hit the space that time of day in order to optimize the lighting.
On the day of the wedding Daniela showed up early and got to work right away. She has a strong yet calming presence which was critical for herding my ADHD infused wedding party. We got our pictures back about 4 weeks after our wedding and they were absolutely stunning! She captured our day perfectly. Her passion definitely shows through her work and she has an incredible eye for detail. I would hire her over and over again :)
We are so pleased with everything that came out of working with Daniela. She was such a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. She made everything so easy and took such beautiful pictures for which we are so grateful for. We've received so many compliments on our pictures. Let me start by saying I am the first to admit that I am a very particular (i.e. critical) person. Photography for our wedding was one of my top priorities. I don't have the best memory, and I wanted someone who would not just capture photos, but the moments on our special day so we could relive them for years to come. Daniela was referred to me by another photographer who was unavailable on our wedding date. I looked at Daniela's website, and I knew right away that I must have her as our photographer. Her work was absolutely stunning and dramatic. Besides having beautiful work, I knew it was also important that our personalities mixed because you're spending your whole wedding day with the photographer. Daniela and I met up at a pie place, and I immediately felt like I was catching up with a good friend. She has a calming and friendly personality, but you also get the sense that she will just take care of everything. I was sold! On our wedding day, Daniela was prompt, poised, and professional; she immediately set to work using her artistic eye. It was also an exceptionally hot day, so she was very good about working smart and trying to keep folks in the shade who were not in pictures at the time. Much appreciated!
Last night, we just got our photos. I cried. Daniela captured exactly what I hoped for and more. These are photos I will be proud to share with our family and someday children. Daniela's art (because that is absolutely what it is), is so incredibly beautiful. I totally went outside of my budget for her, and I am so thankful I did. She is worth every single penny. Don't walk to Daniela, run to her for your photography!
We absolutely loved working with Daniela. Both my husband and I were nervous about getting in front of the camera, but after the engagement session I knew we were in great hands. She was so helpful with working out the timeline of the wedding day and had great ideas for where to take our bridal party pictures. The day of the wedding she and her assistant did such a good job of capturing not only the portraits, but the candid moments. She created a slideshow of her favorite photos from the wedding, and my husband and I both couldn't control our tears- the photos were so beautiful! They more than exceeded our expectations. Picking 50 for the photo album was so hard because there were so many amazing photos!
We could not have been happier to work with Daniela for our wedding! My groom is a photographer, so it was his job to select candidates for us. Daniela wowed him first, and then when the three of us met...we talked for over two hours! Daniela is so lovely and kind and amazingly calming (says a frazzled bride), and she was all of those things through the entire process - including with all the characters at our wedding! I cannot recommend this woman enough as a person...and believe me, you want to work with someone you like! And, of course, we LOVE her work! Our pictures came out GORGEOUS!
We are so glad we had Daniela photograph our wedding! We loved getting to know her during our engagement session and felt so comfortable knowing she would be the one capturing our big day. On our wedding day she was on time, professional, organized, and helped make everything run smooth--even with a very large bridal party! At your wedding you cannot possible take every moment in, which is why hiring your photographer is such an important decision to make. Daniela captured so many memories I would have otherwise missed, and as the day went by so quickly her photos helped me relive some of my favorite moments. I would recommend Daniela to anyone looking for a photographer. It will be the best decision you make.
Daniela is amazing to work with. I personally love her style of photography it is very elegant, candid and whimsical. She does a wonderful job of capturing the most precious moments with your significant other. Both my fiancé and I had a great time shooting with her. She made us feel very comfortable and captured the little nuances of our relationship beautifully. I love that Daniela understands the couple and works around their personalities to create the most amazing pictures which makes each of her shoots very personal and unique.

Where to begin??
I found Daniela on an extensive search. I must have gone through hundreds of portfolios of photographers to see who I thought had the talent I was looking for. So many times, I've seen people hire photographers for such special events that just didn't nail the photos, and in my opinion, that's gotta hurt! It's who you trust to capture the moments in time you can't get back, so I definitely did my homework.
Daniela was not someone that was easy to find--she doesn't advertise a ton. I came across her work by chance. When I saw her portfolio, just by the way she works with the lighting in her photos, what she chooses to blur and bring to the forefront of the picture and what she highlights--boom! I knew this girl has the eye! She knows how to capture the beauty and have it shine in the photos she takes.
I contacted Daniela, and I was just so touched by how sweet and easy to work with she is. She has the heart of gold! She is someone who does this as her passion, she just really enjoys it, and created her company for it. Not the other way around! This woman is just pure talent.
She nailed our engagement photos, and we just got our wedding photos, and just WOW. She has got our whole family's vote for #1 photographer in the Chicagoland area, and she now will have generations of our family who will utilize her company for any important event.

Daniela is an artist and she captured the spirit of our wedding. Before meeting her, I looked at the pictures on her website and they were some of the most beautiful wedding pictures I've seen. When Dan and I met Daniela in person, we were hooked. She worked with our budget. She photographed our engagement photos as well. I'm pretty camera shy and feel so awkward when posing. She was professional and also made us feel very comfortable during the engagement photos. At the wedding, she took amazing portraits of our family and guests. Her candid pictures showed joy and love! She only shared the good ones! She was positive and encouraging. She was also subtle and most of the time I didn't even realize she was taking photos. I love the pictures she took of my bouquet and the reception room as well. She captured us talking with our guests. And she photographed our friends and family having a great time! She was also patient with us, because we didn't always respond in a timely fashion. She was forgiving of my mistakes.
