h, and knew exactly what she was doing on the wedding day. Her attention to detail was abundant in the way she looked for the perfect lighting, in the timing to keep everything on schedule, and in her experience in finding all the perfect photo spots around Nestldown.
She was also amazing at working with and around all our other vendors. We watched her work perfectly in tandem with Daniel Bowen from Matter Video, as they were able to help each other get the perfect shots for both the videos and the photos.
Danielle is experienced and knows what she’s doing. She has an eye for beautiful pictures and the experience to make the vision come to life. We would highly recommend choosing her as your wedding photographer.

Impressed by her talent, we decided to entrust Danielle with the photography for our youngest daughter's wedding in Cabo, which took place at Sunset Monalisa, a stunning cliffside venue. True to form, Danielle exceeded our expectations, skillfully immortalizing the beauty of the surroundings. Her photographs perfectly captured the sunset, with the majestic arch in the background providing a picturesque backdrop for the couple.
One of the highlights was Danielle's ability to capture the couple's first dance against the backdrop of a fireworks display. Her skills were truly remarkable in freezing this magical moment in time. From very first booking our Nestldown wedding in 2019, to looking through multiple photographers' photos, to choosing Danielle, to postponing our wedding from 2021 to 2023, to her sending us a wedding gift for our 2021 small wedding, to all the emails back & forth, to the phone calls to make sure we have everything we need, to finally meeting in person & loving every minute of working with her.... she's been so professional, kind, & understanding through this entire journey. My husband & I truly appreciate her time & letting us move our May 2021 wedding to May 2023 because the Pandemic.
Each of the precious moments she captured at Nestldown will be cherished by so many people for all the years to come. It's amazing we got to work with her- she even got married there too so she knew all the great spots- including the lighting! So easy to work with & let us know exactly what to do so we could get multiple shots to choose from later. You helped us throughout the photography process- giving us options, showing us where to go for the lighting & different backgrounds, having us be ourselves & get candid shots. From getting ready in the Guest House, to the First Look with my Dad & then my husband, to the ceremony site, to the Cocktail Hour, to the Reception, to the special dances & cake cutting, to the Grand Exit.... all our amazing photos reflect on how great of a photographer she is. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would.
You get the photos back fast & you have many to choose from. I feel like that's the only hard part haha, you have so many great photos that you don't know which ones to hang on your wall/put in frames- like about 1,000 is probably too many to put up in our house.
We value your photogenic eye in helping us capture so many special moments of our big day! You captured the essence of our love for each other & for the outdoors all in a single day.

tldown, so in our mind there really wasn’t a choice since half of the photographs that helped us fall in love with the venue were Danielle’s photographs to begin with. We felt reaffirmed in our decision by the time the wedding came. Both my husband and I hate being the center of attention, but our time with Danielle flew by, and we hardly felt like we were being posed. Her instructions were effortless and we ended up laughing a lot. We were giddy to get the pictures back, and could easily favorite any of the 1000+ photos she took. We are still neglecting choosing our top photos for our wedding album since it’s so hard to choose, and we can’t wait to send thank you cards to family with some of her photos included. photo site in mind, be sure to discuss it in advance to make sure light, etc. is in your favor. If you have poses in mind, don't forget to bring them up. In all the craziness of our big day, I forgot a handful of poses I wanted. We weren't too concerned about the portraits, but if you want them all very formal (hands on hips, hands clasped in front/back, straight down), be sure to ask Danielle or her assistant to direct people.

utiful and unique. We were specifically looking for work that would highlight nature and play with special lighting and keep us looking natural yet romantic. Danielle is very very good at doing all these things. My profile picture is from her, hehe.
She's also very prompt. I've heard complaints from other brides that their photographers take months and months, Danielle certainly does not take too long. She's also flexible and down to earth, but she can also get things going! Of course, we were running behind at the wedding and she was very good about making sure she didn't add to our delayed schedule.
The only small comment I have is that she does not deliver digital files until after the wedding, so I did not have digital files of my engagement session for my wedding website and invitations. Danielle provides the option to buy one digital file at a time, but it's quite expensive... I would have been happy to even use a branded version of the photos to give her credit. I think the policy should be reconsidered, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker! Just wanted to make sure other brides are aware as it can change your planning for budgeting and design of website and invitations.
She is very well priced considering the high caliber of her work. I used the Nestldown vendor list to find her, and I was really excited that my favorite photographer, Danielle, was NOT the most expensive at all. Made our decision a no brainer.

She caught this awesome moment during our first dance when we did this dip move --- we didn't even warn her about it, she was right there to snag it, great timing and quick on her feet! Clearly an experienced and talented photographer. All the photos look stunning and we got them on DVD.
Pleasant to work with, did an engagement photo shoot before the wedding to get comfortable. Very receptive to your ideas, but if you don't have any, she'll have ideas for you.
Only snag was that when she made the wedding album for us, she gave us double the pages that we expected for the bare-bones price. This means that we either had to cut pages, or pay more per-page. She said she did it so we could have more choices about what to keep. But we didn't really like having to pick and choose which family to cut from the album. In the end, we wittled it down to the desired number of pages, but many people would probably find it hard to cut and wind up paying the extra. A guy at my work had the same experience --- he hired Danielle for his wedding, and although he was absolutely stunned by the quality of her work, did not appreciate having to cut stuff.

She has an amaizing abilitiy to capture really great candid shots, and journalisitic portraits. I loved working with her.She had great vision for some really wonderful photos. The package I purchased included a high def CD with all images with the rights to print as I wanted, no watermarks, they are my property. Make sure you ask that when you look for your photographer.
Now that the wedding is over, Celeste and Danielle are still very helpful and even offered to help further touch up a few photos for me (we both woke up with a little break out the morning of ugh, and it shows to me in some of the close ups). Pictures at a wedding can often be quite an ordeal but Danielle was calm and moved things along with ease. As the big day drew near and we arrived in Nothern California, we finally met up with Danielle two days before the wedding to take some 'Engagement Photos.' The experience was beyond perfect. She took us to the most perfect spot for various types of photographs while the sun was setting. She instantly made us feel at ease and be ourselves throughout the shoot. The pictures that came out of that session are incredible and simple and perfect.
The wedding day goes by at warp speed, thankfully she was in the right spot to take advantage of all the great moments. The pictures are beautiful and its been wonderful looking through them and reliving the night.

the beginning, I was hesitant because photography is so expensive. However, like many brides said, photos will be the only thing you have after the wedding. I am soooo glad we went with the best and did not skimp on the photography!! Plus as an added bonus, Danielle is super fast at sending the photos!! I hear girls waiting month before receiving even one photo. We were married on July 10 and Danielle already sent us some pictures on July 23!!! She said that she would be sending all of them to us next week! That is incredible turnaround time!! Danielle has an amazing talent, and I would recommend her to all brides.
