She’s easy to talk to, fun, adapts to whatever you may be looking for, and is just straight up mega talented. She made us feel comfortable despite our lack of experience/interest in getting our photos taken. She communicated with us to fully understand what our vision and preferences were. Danielle was the photographer for our wedding in June 2021, and I highly recommend her! When initially looking for photographers for the wedding, I really didn't put too much thought into it since (1) I was super overwhelmed and (2) Had never taken professional photos before. Now that I've worked with Danielle, though, I have super high standards! She really set the bar with her communication, preparedness, and execution. Both my now husband and I had NO idea what really goes into day-of wedding photography, but thanks to Danielle we were able to get some practice (engagement session was in hindsight a brilliant recommendation) and feel comfortable throughout our wedding day. Danielle was with us from the start of our getting ready to the end of the night and helped us so much, especially when it came to corralling family and friends for pictures. If you want a photographer that won't bat an eye when you drag her out in the snow and -11 temperatures, Danielle is your girl! I first found Danielle online. I saw in her portfolio she had shot winter weddings before, and it was important to me to have a photographer with experience with a potentially all white background. We had our engagement shoot 1st and it was the 1st time my husband and I had our photo taken professionally. She worked through our awkward demeanor and got some great shots! On our wedding day the entire photography side was a breeze. I had emailed with danielle back and forth to make sure the timeline, spaces and even my dress bustle were best for photos and never once did she think I was being ridiculous. She captured all of my DIY details I cared about so much and so many great photos of my husband and I and our loved ones. I didn't really think ahead of time that on your wedding day a bride spends the most time with the photographer than anyone else, so it was great to have danielle's easy going yet focused personality to help with my scatter brained self.

Danielle had to adapt to tough circumstances when we decided to get married outdoors on a rainy day due to the pandemic. She did a great job, listened to what we wanted and captured a lot of beautiful moments. We have a ton of great photos that we love and will enjoy for years to come.

Highly recommend Danielle! Like many, my husband and I had to postpone our large wedding to 2021 but still decided to move forward with a micro-wedding on our original date in July. The photographer we originally had booked for July was unable to travel to Chicago for our micro-wedding so we sought out Danielle. Danielle traveled to Peoria, where the wedding was moved, and photographed our tiny backyard wedding. She did an amazing job and we've received so many compliments that "it doesn't even look like it was in a backyard". We would definitely work with her again and highly recommend her for photographing your wedding!

Danielle was awesome to work with! Super easy going and low key! Her pictures are outstanding! They were the exact type of look I was going for! The most important thing in finding a photographer for me was someone who I wanted to spend an entire day with and someone who was incredibly talented! Danielle was both of those! Her second photographer was also amazing! They even captured some of the best candid photos of our group that I absolutely love! The album that she includes in some of the packages is gorgeous! All of her work is amazing and I want to look at the pictures pretty much all day everyday!

Danielle is an incredible talent and truly wonderful human. From our first meeting months before the wedding (which we took in person because she's the best), she made me feel so happy and comfortable and made sure she knew exactly what my (now) husband and I were looking for: glossy, sexy, romantic pictures that showcase our beautiful city, and of course us. The photos... I can hardly describe how amazing they are. First of all, I'm someone who typically looks terrible in professional photos, but this was shot after shot of my husband and I looking like models. There I said it ;) The variety of shots Danielle got was just as impressive as the photographs themselves -- we shot in many different locations both indoor and outdoor, and ALL turned out beautiful. She did a wonderful (and EFFICIENT) job with family photos as well, and captured plenty of candids during the toasts and on the dance floor. I cannot recommend Danielle highly enough. She is one of the reasons our wedding was so beautiful and unforgettable!!

Danielle was awesome! We loved her style and use of light in her photographer. She always was great to work with. Very responsive and very easy going. My husband and I are not fans of getting our photo taken and Danielle made us feel so comfortable and like our selves in the photos. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Danielle!! She did our engagement shoot in Chicago and we loved her so much we had her fly down for our wedding in Atlanta. Her images are stunning. She makes you feel comfortable and beautiful while also providing suggestion should you feel stuck! During my bridal portrait shoot, she was the one who suggested I play with my veil in front of my face and those are some of my favorite pictures! Danielle was very professional from the start. She took calls with my husband and I prior to the wedding to understand our vision and to map out our day. She offered some structure but was very flexible day of. She was super easy going and her creativity showed through when she made a spontaneous call to shoot some moody landscape shots when the coastal fog rolled in. Danielle also art directed some shots in the home we were staying in on the fly and they turned out to be some our favorites! We received our photos in a timely manner and in gorgeous packing. We are so pleased with Danielle and hope for the opportunity to work with her again sometime.

The moment I met Danielle I knew she would be the perfect fit as our wedding photographer! Her portfolio of wedding, engagement, and Boudoir photos initially sold me, but she was such a delight to work with and gave us great recommendations of places to take our wedding photos! My husband and I were so lucky to work with Danielle Heinson for our wedding! From our first meeting, we knew we had chosen the right photographer for us. I contacted Danielle about a month before leaving for my destination wedding in hopes of doing a boudoir shoot. She responded right away, had amazing reviews, and was reasonably priced! Before meeting Danielle for my boudoir shoot, I followed her on Instagram and immediately became obsessed with her wedding photography. Since it was so close to my wedding, I already had all of my vendors booked. Although we opted to do a destination wedding, we wanted to get legally married at home before leaving (legalities!). Last minute I decided to ask Danielle if she could come and take a few family shots the day we went to the courthouse. Luckily she was free that day and she exceeded all expectations! It was a beautiful end of Winter/ beginning of Spring day and Danielle suggested taking pictures in the forest. In less than an hour, Danielle managed to take all the family portraits we wanted and was able to take plenty of creative shots of my husband and me! The photos from the legal wedding are mixed among the photos from our beach destination wedding hanging on our gallery wall! Don't think twice about hiring Danielle for any of your pre & wedding day photography!

Danielle Heinson was such a joy to have as our photographer and work with for both our save the date photos and our wedding photos. If I had the choice to book her again for my wedding I would and I hope I get to book her for another event some time in our future. My family and the bridal party even said she was just amazing at what she does, no other way to say it. Danielle did both our engagement photos and our wedding day, and she was incredibly nice, super easy going, and made us comfortable from the start. Doing the engagement session first helped give us a good idea of how she would be at our wedding and she ended up being even better than expected! Leading up to the day of and on the day, she made sure to always be in contact and updating me on everything, including giving me a heads up on what I will need to bring day of for her to take photos of (our invitations, my jewelry, both of our rings, shoes, etc.) On the day of, she set up and got right to business and did what she needed to do and got the shots she wanted efficiently, was NEVER in the way, and did not stress me out at all! When we first met she referred to herself as a "fly on the wall" but still gets all of the shots, and its true! Girl knows what shes doing, and how to handle every situation! She gave me advice on how the day usually goes, what she recommends and doesn't recommend. We had a very particular and detail oriented wedding and she gladly accommodated all very specific requests we had. As a photographer myself, and obviously heavily concerned about the photos of my wedding day, I felt completely comfortable handing over ALL reigns to her. She was so great, we invited her to stay and enjoy the wedding once she was done; everything just went so smoothly! Not even 2 weeks after the wedding, while we were on our honeymoon, she sent us a Sneak Peek at some of the wedding photos and we were in love with them instantly. I'm dying to see the rest and have already recommended Danielle to multiple friends getting married!

Danielle was one of the best decisions we made! She was a breath of fresh air in an industry that’s full of vendors trying to get your business. She listened to everything we wanted, fielded a ton of questions, and made us comfortable. Danielle was encouraging, honest, and supportive of all requests and made every effort to deliver them. We used Danielle as our wedding photographer and we're so glad we did. Danielle met with us over a year in advance of our wedding and answered all of our questions during the booking process. She was professional and responsive leading up to the wedding. And on our wedding day, she was prompt and organized, and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. She was able to capture our entire shot list, the little details around our venue, and a ton of action shots that express the magic of the evening (dances, speeches, guests tearing up the dance floor). And she worked with us to make sure the formal/posed pictures were minimally disruptive to our day (e.g., so that we could enjoy cocktail hour with our guests). The pictures are absolutely beautiful - she worked so well with the lighting at Salvage One. I love that we received both a digital gallery of all of our photos (without watermark) that we can share with friends for downloading/printing, as well as a usb drive with all of the picture files. We've received so many compliments on our pictures, and we just received our photobook in the mail yesterday and it's going to be such an amazing keepsake for years to come. For 6.5 hours of shooting and the number of photos we received (and the photobook), we also felt the pricing was very reasonable especially given the quality and professionalism. Thanks, Danielle!

Danielle was one of the best investments I made for my wedding. From the very first e-mail for a consultation she was always very professional and easy to work with. Personality wise, she is very down-to-earth and friendly with a caring heart for all. Her style is very romantic and beautiful and was exactly what I wanted. Danielle took our engagement photos last fall. It was a hot day and we didn't have a ton of ideas, but she made us look like naturals that weren't sweating profusely :D. The only reason we didn't use her for our wedding is that we got married out of state and had already booked someone local to our wedding location.
