The BEST Wedding photographer! Danielle goes above and beyond to make sure the pictures you want are captured, the timeline is on schedule and that everyone has fun! She is an amazing woman and was a joy to work with. She coordinated with our venue (District Winery in DC) and our Event Planner to ensure things were done in a timely fashion. Side note: ladies, if you’re considering boudoir photos for your husband, look no further! That was such a fun session and Danielle makes you feel comfortable, confident and oh so sexy. The pics were out of this world.

Heads up - long review ahead from a VERY happy bride! I wish I could give Danielle a thousands stars. In all seriousness, she was one of my biggest comforts on my wedding day. She was attentive and helpful from the very start. She made me feel like I was the most important bride to her (which I know she must do for everyone) and as a very anxious planner, I cannot stress how comfortable I felt when I spoke with her. On my wedding day, she was incredibly enthusiastic, supportive, and goofy, which made us all laugh and I had 4-5 people ask for her information to book her for their events. She was there to help me when I dropped food on my dress and when I needed someone to help me with my bustle. Oh and I can't forget to mention the AMAZING pictures she took that made us feel like we were in a magazine. She skillfully organized our (crazy) families to get pictures with everyone, which was extremely impressive. She was punctual and took everything I said to heart. HIRE HER!!!

Danielle Real is such a joy to work with! From the first time that she and I connected on the phone and talked and laughed for nearly an hour, I knew I had found the right photographer! My husband and I had an engagement shoot with Danielle a few months before our wedding — which was the first time we met her in-person — and we were so impressed with how professional Danielle was and how she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She knew all the right spots to take us for photos in downtown DC, and each photo she took shows my husband and I laughing and having fun! She even texted with me for hours the night before the shoot helping me pick out the right outfits ... My husband and I got married in June 2022, and we received sneak peek photos just five days after our wedding — how incredible is that?! I absolutely love every photo that I have seen from our wedding so far. We look like us! The photos are not overly posed or cheesy, and they feel natural, happy, and like true snapshots of the emotions we were feeling. Danielle arranged truly beautiful detail shots of our accessories and captured heartfelt moments of both my husband and I getting ready separately. Danielle very clearly knows what she is doing and is quick but also thoughtful about every shot. During the wedding, my wedding planner — who had not previously worked with Danielle — expressed to me how impressed she was with how efficiently Danielle took family portraits and how she commanded the room to line everyone up in the correct family groupings while still making everyone feel relaxed and happy. Danielle was amazing during the reception, too! When she saw guests taking photos with their iPhones, she would run over and help light the photo with a professional backlight. I thought that was such a cool and personal touch. Having Danielle as our photographer made our wedding feel fun, easy, and joyful, and you can clearly see that in her photos!

I couldn’t speak more highly of Danielle! She is so talented, professional, kind, funny, and was the number one vendor people commented on throughout the whole day. She kept our whole wedding on schedule, had a vision for our photos, and made everything FUN! She made sure we got every single shot we requested. Most of all, she understood us as a couple and that comes through in our photos. I highly recommend Danielle as your photographer!

Danielle is incredible! She stuck with us through multiple postponements with COVID, and the day of our wedding she kept us and our families smiling and laughing putting us at ease and resulting in the most gorgeous photos that we will forever cherish. Can't recommend her enough!

Danielle shot our August, 2021 wedding and our engagement photos in June 2021. We've seen some of our wedding photos so far and they are gorgeous and exactly what we wanted and her prices are certainly reasonable. More importantly, Danielle was an incredible part of our day and our wedding team and was fun to work with. She soothed any stress about timing on the day of and kept us laughing during the more cheesy photos. Throughout the day, she worked really with our coordinator to make sure the day ran smoothly and she also checked in our videographer who was newer to the wedding industry. We received multiple compliments on Danielle by our friends as well. She was great about helping people take photos on their phones during the reception and still getting the professional photos for us. While we were trying to get people on the dance floor, she and our DJ called everyone on the dance floor for a photo and then started playing one of our favorite songs to get everyone to dance. During the engagement photos, Danielle made us comfortable and made sure we had fun with it. Overall, her work is amazing but she is also just a fun and wonderful person to work with. We would hire again and will go back to her for any future professional photos.

Danielle was the absolute best choice for our wedding and engagement photos! Neither my husband or I are very natural in front of the camera, but as soon as we met Danielle for our engagement session she made us feel completely at ease and comfortable. She made us laugh the entire time, which made the time fly by! Danielle is who you should budget it when planning your wedding. She is the fairy godmother, wedding photo master extraordinaire! I've been part of three weddings where Danielle was the photographer and her attention to detail was so unparallel I know that when it was my turn she was the one. When you know you know! She traveled to me from VA to PA and captured all of our moments incredibly. Just thinking of my photos makes me tear up of joy! As soon as we met Danielle and saw her gorgeous photos, we knew she would be the photographer for us. She knows how to put you at ease and makes taking pictures feel natural. She is truly one of the warmest people and just speaking with her on the phone for a few minutes would brighten my whole day. When we had to postpone our large wedding celebration due to COVID, Danielle helped us find the most perfect, beautiful spot in DC to have our mini-ceremony and was so flexible and helpful with the planning. Danielle is a wonderful person and excellent professional. We hired her for both our engagement and wedding pic in the midst of the pandemic and she made our experience one of a life time memories, just like the event itself. She made us feel at easy and took all the wonderful pictures being part of us, not just a professional photographer hired only to do his job. The first time I met Danielle, we went for coffee and cried over my engagement story. At that moment I knew I had found our wedding photographer (and honestly so much more)! We regularly communicated about ideas for photos and I sent her Pinterest boards that she made come to life. She took our engagement photos in downtown DC, which were beyond beautiful – especially since she was able to get our dog to pose perfectly in so many! Danielle constructed an entire day-of timeline, from getting ready at the hotel to the grand sparkler exit; I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about anything on the big day. She even learns the names of your entire family and wedding party, which just makes the whole experience so much more personal. Unfortunately, in the midst of planning, Covid hit and our big June wedding had to be scaled down to about 15 people in my parent’s backyard. Despite this, Danielle quickly sprang into action, created a whole new timeline, and even Facetimed by parents to get an idea of good places to shoot. Needless to say, she went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our tiny, backyard wedding so gorgeous and I will cherish the pictures (and experience) forever! She is not only so sweet, genuine, and caring, but she is an incredibly talented photographer. Her photos are so natural and airy, yet she catches the raw emotions that speak volumes. I cannot wait for her to shoot our big celebration in 2021!

Danielle is the sweetest, most thoughtful and talented photographer we have ever worked with. She's easy going, a blast to work with and listened to and delivered exactly what we wanted in our enragement/ wedding photos. She is a star at corralling large families, sassy flower girls and chatty bridal parties. She made us so comfortable being in front of the camera. Yesenia and I got married on May 5, 2019 and could not be happier to have selected Danielle Real as our photographer after a long search. She was amazing to work with. Yesenia knew Danielle because she shot her friends wedding and got rave reviews from bride and groom. After I rejected photographer after photographer online and at expos, we decided to look up her website. I was immediately intrigued. Danielle was warm and positive when we interviewed her, and knowledgeable and directive at the walkthrough. She quickly developed a plan, let us know how we would execute it, and we were set months before the date. She inspired confidence. On the day of our wedding, Yesenia and Danielle did a shoot at her hotel room, and the second shooter came to my parents home. They were on time and stayed on schedule. Danielle was patient when Yesenia was running late. Despite that, all bridal party shots were taken and they arrived to the venue on time for the first look. Danielle and her assistant made the first look magical even though the rain got in the way of it being the outdoors spring scene we wanted. The family photos were also so much fun. During the ceremony we hardly noticed they were photographing us. Yesenia and I planned on attending all of our cocktail hour, but Danielle grabbed us and dragged us outside under cover of awning when she saw the opportunity to get us some outdoors greenery to make up for the rained out first look photos. So much fun and so beautiful. Those are some of our favorite shots. Danielle promised us a set number of photos in 2 weeks. She emailed to apologize that it was taking her longer because she decided to give us far more. Fine with us! The photos were fantastic. To notch quality coming from a picky consumer (groom). Danielle was really amazing! I am so grateful that we had her there on our wedding day. She is hilarious and so energetic. She was making everyone laugh. She was caring, kind, organized, and got it done! I am one of six with step parents and bug blended family. It is not easy to wrangle that many people into a series of pictures, but she did it and made it look easy. The only thing that prevented the 5 star rating is that we were told we'd get the pictures in 2-4 weeks and we received them just after 5 weeks. I would have to follow up with Danielle about them weekly and she would answer me most of the time, but sometimes I wouldn't get a response back. I was waiting on those pictures so I can include some to send with the Thank you cards, so now I am going to have to send the thank you cards without the pictures and those are also going to be sent later than I would have liked. That part has been very disappointing. Final thoughts, she was a great photographer for the day of, but the time it’s taken to get these photos didn't meet our expectations.

Our photos turned out more beautiful than we ever imagined! Danielle is extremely talented and professional, the schedule was followed to a T because she was very detailed on her preparation process. What we appreciated most about her is how she made us feel on our wedding day. As a super camera-shy couple – she was soooo good in making me and my husband feel very comfortable in front of the camera and she’s super funny so most of our photos captured what a happy and fun day our wedding day was! And her photobooth – best quality photobooth pictures ever!!! Guests loved the pictures so much most of them changed their profile pics to the pics from the photobooth! … and we were surprised to get our pictures only a few weeks after our wedding! Oh I can go on and on listing why we love Danielle! Hire Danielle and you won’t regret it!

I can't recommend Danielle enough. She was by far the best vendor we had -- and went WAY above and beyond before, during, and after to make our day perfect. We booked 10 hours with her, so we could do pictures around the monuments prior to the ceremony. She worked with us beforehand to plan out different routes and suggest good site locations and was flexible to make changes the day of (she even has a hookup at the National Gallery -- which worked out great because it was freezing!) It didn't feel like going to the sites with a photographer -- it felt like she was a close friend, which made our day so much more special. At the wedding, she also did not stop all night -- she took so many pictures following us around, but also getting great candids. She is extremely professional and worked well with various people in my wedding party who had various needs and requests. The pictures all came out amazing. Seriously, book Danielle for your wedding!

Danielle was a great photographer whose warm and jovial demeanor added so much fun to our day. She was able to capture all of our special moments with so much variety.

Danielle was hands down our favorite vendor at our wedding. We felt so comfortable after meeting with her before the wedding and she made me and my bridesmaids laugh even in the most tense of moments. She had great ideas about different shots and knew how to get me to smile and pose to look my best. Danielle is the absolute best photographer in the DMV area. Her attention to detail is stunning and she has a great eye for taking the best pictures. Danielle is amazing - we loved getting to meet her and she was so professional and fun to have be a part of our wedding day. She helped everything run smoothly and took gorgeous photographs. They are artistic but also natural and true to who we are as a couple.

From the moment we spoke with Danielle on the phone, I knew she was the right one to capture my daughter's wedding. She was recommended by a neighborhood online group that I'm in, so was happy to use someone nearby. She came over and met the whole family, and went over specifically what my daughter and her fiance wanted to capture on the big day. She was happy to answer the many questions we had, and her sense of humor and warmness made us feel like we had known her forever! Danielle kept in touch in the months prior to the wedding, asking for additional information so she had everything she needed. On the wedding day, Danielle was there early (the wedding was about 90 minutes away), and scoped out the venue for where she planned her shots. She made us laugh, captured every single minute in amazing detail, and caught moments that were unexpected. She was wonderful at making everyone comfortable during the family photos, all the while keeping on schedule. She was amazing at using everyone's names correctly, making it seem effortless. She took many, many pictures, but was not intrusive in any way. She took pictures of everything, from people's emotions, to the decorations... nothing was missed. When we got the pictures back, they were amazing. There were moments I didn't even know happened, since I walked my daughter down the aisle. It was wonderful to see all those little moments captured. We were blessed with an amazing sunset that day, and Danielle was able to capture those amazing moments with the bride and groom. I cannot thank her enough for all of her prep before the wedding, and her amazing ability to capture both big and small moments during the day. Danielle is a warm, caring person, and that comes through in her photographs and how she deals with everyone during the day. I highly recommend Danielle for all of your photography needs!

We are so upset with the outcome. So many pictures out of focus and poorly framed. The groom's head was often cut off. Walls and ceiling were prominent in many. The only picture of the bride and groom walking back down the aisle is black and white and grainy. Really, really beyond disappointed.

I had the pleasure of working with Danielle not only as a calligraphy vendor, but as a guest at my cousins wedding. Danielle captured the day perfectly, you could really feel the love and cherish the excitement of the day in her work! She captured details with her creative eye and caught memories for everyone to look back on for many years to come!

Danielle's work BLEW us away, but what really makes her special is her personality. I was ready to sign a contract after seeing her work online, but she wanted to meet on Facetime - a really personal touch. I instantly knew that she was our girl from how laid back and funny she was. At the wedding, she put everyone at ease and blended into the party like she was one of your best friends. We got SO many comments from the wedding party about how awesome she was. Her turn-around time is amazing, too - 2 weeks! We first received a preview slideshow to our wedding song which STILL makes me cry a month later. When going through all 1300 images from the wedding, we especially loved all of the raw and candid moments she caught, and how every single photo looks like a magazine cover. I'm so grateful we found Danielle and cannot recommend her enough! You will be so happy you chose her!

Danielle got every shot of just about everyone having "a moment," and SHE MOVES SO QUICKLY! She is so energetic and makes it easy to pose for portraits, but she also gets the special candid moments. Wow. Just wow. Danielle's photos of our wedding day left us speechless. Each shot was better than the last. The first time I had seen her photos of someone else's wedding, I knew she was it. Her photos made me cry and I didn't even know the couple! She scoped out our venue prior to the wedding and she completely put me at ease. She captured the ethereal, historic, and gothic feel of our wedding but also the warmth, the love, and the utter and complete joy. We had a second photographer who was also wonderful and them working together captured all the best moments. Her and her team truly went above and beyond to help me feel calm and to get us the best pictures possible. I feel truly blessed and honored to have Danielle photograph our wedding. She is truly a lovely person and an extremely talented photographer!

Danielle was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We originally met over Skype and she immediately put us at ease. She was easy to work with and quick to respond to our (many) questions. We had her do our engagement shoot as well and chose Meridian Hill Park in DC. She had shot there before and made it even easier with tons of great ideas of where to get the best shots. She got us our photos super fast as well and we had plenty to chose from for the Save the Dates. Prior to the wedding, we met at the venue and did a walkthrough together. Our wedding was at District Winery in DC and despite it being a new venue, Danielle was ready to go with great ideas of how to make the most of the space and the surrounding area. Now for the day of the wedding. We chose to get an additional photographer because we were each getting ready at separate locations and wanted shots of both the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen getting ready. We paid a little extra to get her for most of the day (I think we started around 11am, totally worth it). Then we went around DC and took shots at the Lincoln Memorial (it was very chilly, Danielle is so kind that she even shared her coat to keep the bride extra warm) and the National Gallery of Art. Again, Danielle was super prepared and had great ideas for what shots to take and how to make things as efficient as possible, while still getting all the best shots and including everyone. She also expertly managed our first look photos. When we got to the venue she continued to take great shots of the rest of our families and made everyone feel at ease. Throughout the night she was always taking great photos and always in the right place at the right time. More important that all of that was how positive and genuinely enthusiastic she was - you are going to take A LOT of pictures, having someone who makes it fun is essential. With Danielle you also don't just get typical photos (you get those, don't worry), you also get artsy instagram ready beautiful shots and angles that we would never be able to think up on our own. We loved working with Danielle and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a great photographer. I also imagine she will cost more soon so book her asap! I honestly don't think she could have done anything better . (note: we haven't gotten our wedding photos yet since the wedding was just a week ago and will update our review after, but feel so strongly that Danielle is a rockstar that we wanted to get this review out first thing. Danielle Real blew our expectations out of the water! My fiance and I had our engagement photos taken at the Old Town Waterfront, and Danielle knew the area like the back of her hand. We took photos in spots we didn't even think of! She made the entire experience very easy and made us both feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We are thrilled with how our photos came out! We will be recommending her to our friends and family!

I wish we could give Danielle a THOUSAND star review. She is so talented! The photos she took far exceeded our expectations, and she was delightful to work with before, during, and after the wedding. The images were crystal clear and beautifully composed, and she captured so many moments of joy, fun, and love. She has an innate ability to give direction: she effortlessly wrangled the entire group of 91 guests and the wedding party for group photos, and then she was able to quickly transition to more intimate portraits. She was extremely observant, aware of us and the wedding party at all times, but also aware of what was going on around us. She took amazing photos of our guests too. She was attentive, communicative and pro-active the entire wedding day, and was kind and friendly with everyone. Danielle Real blew our expectations out of the water. She somehow handles the productivity of a full team of photographers on a single shoot on her own without breaking a sweat. We worked with her both on our engagement pictures and the wedding itself. There was not a moment that we weren't confident we had made the right choice and that we were in the right hands for making sure all the moments of the day were captured. We had plenty of reasons why a photographer may have issues staying on schedule from a huge wedding party size to groomsmen wandering off and she handled everything effortlessly while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I had reached out to Danielle for wedding pictures and had several email exchanges with her about the types of pictures I wanted and what I was looking for. I even met with Danielle in person to go through her work. Then when it came down to signing the contract she went completely MIA. Didn't respond to emails, didn't respond to phone calls or texts. I tried to reach her and my mother tried to reach her with different communication methods over the course of over a month and she completely disappeared. Not only was it incredibly stressful and frustrating, but it was also incredibly unprofessional. I understand that everyone has personal lives, but to completely ignore all messages for over a month is completely unacceptable. If she didn't want to work with us, I would've understood that as well, but she didn't even have the decency to notify us. Just for context, I had reached out to her in June of 2016...I've still never received a response back from her.

We chose Danielle to be our wedding photographer for our May 20th wedding and I cannot say enough good things. First of all, she makes you feel so comfortable in her presence you feel like you've known her for ages; this helped me as I don't often have my picture taken and felt nervous about posing. She also does a venue scouting where she searches out all the best places in and around the venue to get the best photos. We have already received our small mobile album to share with family and friends on social media (just a highlight) two weeks later and the photos are absolutely stunning! Definitely go with her and you will not be disappointed.

Danielle was AMAZING. Best value photographer - for the very reasonable price we paid, I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. The photos are stunning, she got every shot. Best part was she sent them all to us only TWO weeks after the wedding!!! My father in law called her "the hardest working photographer" he'd ever met - she didn't stop moving the entire day. She brings vast experience and professionalism, and can effectively wrangle a crowd of family to pose perfectly for a photo. She takes command and has great ideas on how to problem solve any situation. I honestly can't say enough great things about her - just book her before her prices double to what she is worth!!!

Danielle is a first-class photographer and exceeded all of our expectations during our wedding weekend. She was professional, organized and experienced. She seamlessly captured every photo we asked for and delivered tons of creative, memorable shots. She always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. She also did a great job of blending in with the day, not to take away from any of our special moments. All of her advice was super helpful and she was responsive and flexible in accommodating our requests. She went above and beyond the call of duty: meeting with us for two hours ahead of time to scout out the area, dealing with some of my "rowdy" groomsmen and even cleaning up shattered glass near the dance floor at the end of the evening so no one stepped on it. Most importantly, she turned the photos back to us in less than four weeks and the details she captured and editing she did is hands down the best in the business. She earned a 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend her for any memorable event you want captured. She truly is the best!

Danielle is a PHENOMENAL photographer. I've had the privilege of working with her twice now -- for our wedding in July 2016 and now for professional photos for my business. After doing my wedding I didn't want to ask anyone else. Not only is she a great photographer but she has a beautiful personality. First, she is so easy going and accommodating. She took into consideration some ideas for reference and brought some of her own to the shoot. She totally got my style and look I wanted to go for. I'm a little awkward but she helped me feel so confident and pretty and she made it SO fun. She is always very organized, adaptable, and mindful of any factors and constraints, and works around them with ease. I couldn't recommend her enough for any professional portraits or for your wedding!! I tell everyone about her and probably won't stop :)

Danielle’s service is second-to-none. From the moment we first contacted her, she was professional, incredibly friendly, and seemed to really want to get to know us. She took the time to learn about our history, our sense of humor, our quirks. She used all of these to set up a brilliant session for us in the famous DC cherry blossoms. And since we told her that we both love tocino (a Filipino breakfast meat) and Spam, she brought some tocino-flavored Spam and used it for some creative pictures! During the session, she put us totally at ease. She posed some great shots, and also let us be ourselves. All in all, our experience with Danielle was wonderful. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Danielle was awesome to work with! We live in a different state so I was nervous about having someone I wouldn't meet until the day of be involved in our entire day. My nervous were completely put at ease after our first skype conversation with Danielle. She was so sweet and professional that I knew we would have no issues. I can not say enough good things about her performance the day of. She arrived on time, gave excellent direction, kept us on schedule, was not obtrusive at all (but still got amazing shots), and the entire wedding party LOVED her. With her professional eye she was able to make my parents front yard look like a national park with all the greenery! Aside from the compliments I have gotten about how great Danielle was everyone is still raving about the incredible photos. To top it off she was reasonably priced! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who asked.

Awesome photographer!! When I saw her portfolio I stopped my search for wedding photographers. On our first meeting my husband and I both agree that she has a warm personality, she is very knowledgeable and is well experienced in wedding photography. She also gave us sufficient time to make decisions. She is very responsive and speedily to all the questions I have (excited bride). She is super nice and candid. Danielle made us comfortable in front of the camera. On our wedding day everyone involved in the pictorial including the wedding coordinator, entourage and guests all love her, with her jolly personality and great attitude she was able to capture those precious moments in our wedding. Danielle did an incredible job photoghraphing our wedding! She was professional but also casual and made us feel comfortable shooting with her. She covered our wedding day- ceremony and part of the reception for an hourly rate and worked with us on our custom package instead of having a one-size-fits-all deal. She did an excellent job shooting the special moments of the day without being obtrusive and she was very good at organizing everyone for group shots. The final product came about a month after our wedding and the pictures look so amazing! Would highly recommend!!

From the moment we met Danielle, we knew she was the ONE. Her prices were ideal and her wedding package was exactly what we were looking for. We booked her for both our engagement and wedding photos. Danielle arrived early on our wedding day, she was beyond professional, organized and super prepared- she had a little fanny pack with everything in it!!! She went out of her way to ensure we were on time, helped my maid of honor pin her dress, pulled out a bobby pin to help button up my wedding dress. I mean, Danielle was incredible, most definitely, if not, one of the best vendors that we were lucky enough to work with. Our bridal party and guests are still raving about how over the top amazing she was. We just got our wedding photos and every single picture is stunning. Danielle is extremely talented and she definitely knows what she's doing. We loved her style and ideas during our wedding photo shoot. My husband and I decided to have Danielle shoot both our engagement photos and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier with the result. Danielle is extremely easy to work with and definitely knows how to direct you to get the perfect shots. Even though standing still to pose for certain photos can get a little awkward, she knows how to talk you through it and just keep things fun and relaxed. Our wedding day had quite a large number of family and guests that attended. It would have been a challenge for anyone to try and direct our big family shots as well as capture photos of all the guests. Danielle was able to do this with ease. She was able to direct large group photos of 50+ people into a single shot that turned out amazing. Throughout the day she was there making sure to capture all of the special moments. All of our pictures turned out perfectly and we couldn't be happier having worked with Danielle.

If you're reading this, you're probably looking for a wedding photographer. It's a big choice to make, because photos are the one thing that are supposed to last after your wedding. If you're looking through photographers in the DC area and Danielle is available, I would honestly urge you to stop looking right now and just book her. Her pictures are amazing. Literally amazing. I have people who, upon seeing the pictures from my wedding, are asking me if she travels. No joke (Hey Danielle, let me know if you travel :)). Also, she worked ridiculously hard on the day of my wedding and managed to catch every moment. Seriously, she got pictures that I didn't even know she was there for (I was looking through all the amazing photos, like, she was THERE?!? How did she get that?!?) She's very nice and professional as well. As far as I'm concerned, she's the top of the line as far as what you can get for photographers in DC, and I don't say that lightly. More than that, she's just a really great and hardworking person - with calm personality to soothe your jitters on your big day. I'm completely happy that she was available for my wedding, and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to get all the memories of my wedding - she made the pictures even more beautiful than I could ever have imagined.
