About this vendor
Welcome to Darcie L Makeup, where timeless beauty meets a truly luxurious, stress-free experience. Based in Lansing, Michigan, I am Darcie Howard—a Licensed Esthetician and Professional Makeup Artist with over 15 years of experience dedicated to perfecting bridal and special event beauty. My ultimate goal is to create a stunning, photographic look that makes you feel like the most radiant, confident version of yourself as you walk down the aisle.
The Hybrid Artistry Difference
What truly sets Darcie L Makeup apart is my signature "Hybrid Artistry" technique. I created this approach to give my brides the absolute best of both worlds. For the complexion, I utilize the flawless, second-skin finish of Temptu Airbrush makeup, ensuring an indestructible, lightweight base that looks perfect in person and on camera. For the eyes, I apply the bespoke precision of traditional luxury artistry. This unique combination guarantees a customized bridal look that is as enduring as it is beautiful, lasting flawlessly from the first look to the final dance.
A Calming, Luxury Experience
Your wedding morning sets the tone for the entire day. I pride myself on curating a deeply supportive, calming environment so you can truly relax and savor the moments before your event begins. Services can be hosted in my dedicated, relaxing West Lansing home studio or on-site at your venue. For your bridal trial, I highly encourage you to bring one or two close friends or family members to my studio to share in the excitement and provide helpful feedback!

My services are structured around comprehensive packages—such as the Signature Bride and Complete Bride options. I operate on the "Inclusive Rule," meaning your chosen package is a single, straightforward payment that serves as both your booking fee to secure your date and the total cost of your bridal makeup services—no hidden fees, no wedding day math—just a seamless, worry-free experience.

r a long walk outside in the heat, a 3hr car ride to the venue and dancing at the wedding. The makeup didn’t feel heavy at all either! I had a few ideas and also showed her my dress color and then we looked at the color wheel to see what would look best and she crushed it! I couldn’t recommend Darcie enough. She is so kind and amazing to work with (I have worked with her twice now) and will only ever go to Darcie for any professional makeup needs. She was also so open to feedback and was more than willing to change anything if I felt like a color or anything was off. She did such an incredible job for the wedding I went to and I would say she is a must have for your makeup looks for any special occasion. Run don’t walk - book Darcie!

covid bride and had to move my date and Darcie was absolutely wonderful and flexible, and I will forever be grateful for her kindness during such stressful times. During my trial for my wedding makeup Darcie looked at all my inspiration pictures and discussed color options with me. She listened and took my comments and concerns seriously and I felt heard. I asked to see a couple different lip options and she was so wonderful and patient! I have many freckles on my face and I did not want them covered up and she did an excellent job evening out my skin tone while not covering my beloved freckles. Darcie completely nailed my trail makeup, I wanted a more glam look, and I received so many compliments after I left my appointment. For my wedding, Darcie was punctual, professional, but also so fun to work with! Everyone in my wedding party was blown away by her talent and attention to detail. I had a minor change I wanted to make to my look and she was happy to oblige! I felt absolutely beautiful after I completed my wedding makeup! My guests complimented me so many times on my makeup, because as I danced the night away during the August heat and humidity, my makeup never moved and neither did my lashes! The fact that we have such an incredibly talented makeup artist locally is such a blessing! I will definitely be a return customer for makeup for other events! DO NOT hesitate to book with Darcie, you won’t be sorry!

eup lasted all day/night and looked beautiful!! I had very little transfer of makeup to my wedding dress, but with that much sweat and moving, I expected some transfer. She didn't struggle with anyone's makeup, and we had everything from very fair skin to tan to olive skin tones. The only issue was she went about 30 minutes over - granted she did my makeup, 6 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers! I'd still recommend her to anyone!!
My make-up looked amazing! I've never done airbrush before and it was amazing! I hardly felt the makeup on my face and it stayed on the whole time! I highly recommend Darcie and ai...

d to do airbrush make up for myself and the bridal party. I would recommend this for anyone who has a major event. The make up looked so clean and natural, but also glamorous. My whole bridal party looked like models and felt great. Darcie even had the option for my Mom and me to do a consultation before so we got to see the make up before the big day. I will most certainly use Darcie again for any special occasions I have in the Lansing area.
