We really felt like we'd been given a secret treasure when we were introduced to Bill Wood of Dark Lake Video, a best kept secret -- when our amazing photographer JLB Wedding introduced us. Incorporating video was a late-game decision, but our ceremony was so unique -- full of surprise readings, acoustic and a capella serenades, and proud walk by a very unconventionally large, mixed bridal party -- we knew there was too much sight and sound NOT to capture... that we needed to do so and we needed someone who would get it right intuitively. And do so without making it a huge project for us. WOW! That's Bill Wood. From the very first call, Bill was a total delight -- warm, welcoming, plugged right in, incorporating and responding to all planning right away, flexing to fit our planning and late stage budgeting needs, without missing a beat. Immediately became an amazing, stealth and indispensable part of the team. A collegial, creative, understated and immensely talented total pro. His work speaks for itself. My daughter did not want a video of her wedding, however I wanted it because I knew there would be things I missed or wanted to see again. I hired Bill Wood from Dark Lake Video on a recommendation from my niece's friend. After the completion, my daughter said, "Mom you were right! We love the video!" I especially liked the short video that did a review of the whole wedding to a song of your choosing. It was so well done!

Let me just say BILL WOOD is amazing!! He is so easy to work with, and we didn't even have to tell him what we wanted, he just knew. I have only seen our trailer so far (our wedding was less than a week ago) but from that little snippet, he has left us salivating for more. He totally nailed it! He encompassed the old Hollywood feel onto a beautiful Detroit backdrop and captured our "Old Detroit Wedding" theme perfectly. I cannot wait to see the actual video, but until then I must say he is nothing short of perfect. Best price around (CANNOT BEAT IT) and he gives impeccable quality. I highly recommend!!!

Bill did my wedding June 14, 2014 he was awesome ! He worked really well with my photographer and had great ideas. I would recommend him to anyone!

He was very easy to work with. His artistic views were amazing. So far I have only received my trailer but I loved it. He and my photographer worked very well together. He was reasonably priced for the product recieved. You could tell he didn't just point and shoot he had a vision behind it and I know it will be amazing.

Bill Wood is a great videographer and made the wedding video for our 7/27/13 wedding. At the ceremony and the reception, we didn't even know he was there most of the time. He knows how to get the shots he needs without being invasive. While we were out taking pictures after dinner, he came too to get more shots and was so kind and funny. He even held my hand when we were walking down some stairs at one point to make sure I didn't trip over my dress. We just got our wedding video proof a couple weeks ago, and it's wonderful. Bill didn't miss any of the important moments, and I love the music video to our first dance. At the last minute before he sent out our proof disc, he also went the extra mile to add a "behind the scenes/blooper" reel because he thought there were so many funny moments at our wedding that we might like to see. Overall, Bill did a fantastic job, and he is an amazing value (we paid him around $1000 all together). Many videographers charge three times that amount, and Bill could too if he felt like it! His work is worth the money. Thanks to Bill, we will never forget a single moment of our special day.

My husband and I worked with Bill, who was very professional, always responded promptly to emails, and got us our video very shortly after our wedding! Bill was able to capture the most beautiful moments of our wedding, but stayed out of the center, so I barely noticed him filming! Bill was friendly and very easy to work with. We absolutely love our wedding video, thank you!
