We had our own personal host who took care of us the entire night, making sure we ate! (Because you literally forget to stop, drink or sit down and eat!) she made sure we stayed hydrated, and had everything we needed, she was absolutely amazing, and tentative. Our appetizer and dinner menu was one of a kind, and delicious. I cannot explain how warm and heart felt their whole team was, how grateful I am we chose Dark Steele’s team and Gavin and Jills chef and hosting skills. 20/10 recommend them over and over again.

They were so easy to work with, flexible, and offered amazing suggestions (both food and other vendors) throughout the planning. You can really tell how much they care about their clients and their business. The food was DELICIOUS and met all our expectations. My husband and I are big foodies, so traditional wedding food just wasn't going to cut it. We had grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup shooters (AMAZING) with pork belly wrapped shrimp for appetizers, and bourbon and brown sugar glazed chicken with root veggies and a melon, prosciutto and goat cheese salad for dinner. All of our guests were raving about the food, and we couldn't have been happier! We definitely recommend the Dark Steele Gastro Arts team for your next event. At first we didn't know what we wanted on our menu. Only that we wanted the food to be easy to handle in more of a feast style setting. We realized that wasn't a typical choice and weren't sure how to convey what we needed to bring this idea to fruition. After getting to know us Gavan gave us a few options to start with and in the end snowballed into a beautiful eccelectic menu for the Chinese/Afghan palette we were trying to accomodate. This was a real test of creativity. Everyone was bursting at the seams with how full they were praising the cooks accomplishments through the evening. "So good" "Omg did they grill these?" "I LOVE all the finger food" . We couldn't have asked for a better evening with the food to top it off. Our families are all about food and we loved every bite!

fs and caterers, so we actually gave them full reign on creating a menu for our Chinese-Afghan wedding. In addition to asking for a menu that was culturally representative, we gave them the added task of presenting and serving the food in a feast style setting. They came back to us rather quickly with a first draft of the menu, to which we made only very minor revisions. To say the least, just the names and descriptions got us excited for the food. It was amazing to have a menu created specifically for our event with unique dishes that were representative of us. They kept us updated throughout the process and kept in touch prior to our wedding date. They really gave us the confidence to trust them with this piece of our special day. When the day finally came, I was shocked at how well prepared the Dark Steele team was. They are serious professionals and it shows in their work ethic.
Their dishes AND service we absolute hits with our guests. Everyone had something great to say about our food and the presentation. We could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Dark Steele made the process painless for us, which is always a plus when planning a wedding. We were delighted every step of the way, from inquiry to clean up.
