I’m so thrilled that we hired Darling & Daughters for our wedding florist. Maria and Whitney were amazing to work with. They were so excited about my ~vision~ for the wedding and really brought it to life in spectacular fashion. All of the arrangements were absolutely stunning (particularly my gorgeous bouquet). For our ceremony, they thoughtfully designed a beautiful asymmetric visual, and we were able to repurpose the individual components for the ballroom. For the table arrangements, my parents had very strong opinions about tall floral arrangements, so they designed two beautiful and lush sets of low arrangements which were absolutely stunning, as well as some hanging greenery. The bouquets were a particular highlight. My bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses, and the bridesmaid bouquets were absolutely perfect for tying the overall dress aesthetic together. My bridal bouquet was a total showstopper. Everyone’s jaws dropped when they brought it into the bridal suite. Finally, Maria and Whitney were just lovely to work with. I kept coming back with more thoughts and ideas and they were happy to incorporate additional elements into their design. They were very collaborative, eager to make their gorgeous seasonal flowers fit seamlessly with our other décor choices. The whole process of working with them was seamless!

Darling and Daughters nailed the florals for our wedding! The bouquets were absolutely perfect—I had a specific vision for peaches, corals, yellows in the bouquet, and they really listened to what I was looking for and made it real. Maria and Whitney at Darling & Daughters were the most warm, wonderful humans - our favorite vendors during our whole wedding process by far - and we'd work with them again in a heartbeat. Working with them didn't feel transactional and yucky like it so often does with ~wedding industry~ things. They listened to us, they heard us, and they put together an absolutely gorgeous floral design that was exactly what we were hoping most for: a warm, whimsical, homey vibe for our backyard wedding. D&D did all the flowers for my daughter's wedding. The plan was to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors and dinner inside . Due to inclement weather all were moved inside. D&D did an amazing job of transforming the inside into a natural garden center of flowers and plants, utilizing everything that had been planned for outdoors. It looked like a design that had been planned for months. The quality of flowers and plants was outstanding. Everyone was in awe.

I had the opportunity to work with Darling & Daughters Floral (Maria & Whitney) for my February 2022 wedding and it was beyond a pleasure working with them! Working with Maria & Whitney was incredibly easy - they were responsive, flexible, took direction well, and were also able to make pivots and advisements based on their deep knowledge of what would work best. I had a very particular vision for what I wanted and seeing their designs come to life was nothing short of magic. My bouquet was simply the most gorgeous one I've ever seen, the chuppah was better than I could have ever imagined, and the chandelier was above and beyond my expectations (you could smell the flowers dancing under them), and the table scapes were gorgeous. Everything was stunning and our families and friends can't stop talking about it! I cannot stop looking at the photos and reliving all of the magic! Maria and the Darling & Daughters team made my dreams come true—and that’s not an exaggeration. I have truly never seen such beautiful florals, I thought only celebrities or royalty could have weddings decked out in gorgeous tablescapes and greenery wrapped staircases. Throughout the planning process, I felt like Maria was the only vendor that I could just absolutely open up to with my wildest wedding visions. I gave her some incredibly long-winded and “flowery” (excuse the pun) descriptions of what I wanted my wedding to be like, I referenced photos, artwork, instagram accounts, TV shows, movies, etc etc. Somehow, she actually understood what I was trying to convey (and to her credit, she seemed very excited about my visions!), and brought my dream to life in, honestly, the most dreamlike way possible. I was so incredibly touched when I saw my bouquet, and I was honored to have the privilege of carrying it. The team beautifully draped berries, greenery, and blooms in the bouquets and throughout the wedding. Everyone came to our sweetheart table just to admire the scene Darling & Daughters created. I wanted everything to be opulent, ethereal, almost ghostly, and ephemeral (see how hard I must have been to deal with?!), and I got EXACTLY what I wished for! I cannot thank Darling & Daughters enough! Maria was hands down my favorite vendor to work with throughout the planning process and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again if the occasion arose!

Literally exceeded my expectations, so beautiful I cried when I saw the bunches of peonies. The flowers were my favorite part of our wedding day! I found them thanks to Marriage and Mimosas event planners.

Darling & Daughters exceeded all of my expectations and then some. I may be biased, but I do think our florals were the prettiest I've ever seen at a wedding. Not only did Maria and her team curate the most fabulous (locally sourced) wedding florals anyone could ever dream of, Maria also became a counselor of sorts to me as we planned and re-planned our wedding due to COVID. Darling & Daughters has the most beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets I've ever seen. I first saw their arrangements in my favorite DC bakery, Buttercream Bakeshop, and knew that was the florist I wanted for our wedding. Maria is so easy and fun to talk to - she turned my very rough vision into MORE than I could have imagined. On top of exceeding my floral expectations, Maria was so flexible and worked so much with us on re-planning our wedding. She was with us every step of the way and was available to answer any question or concern I had along the way. The arrangements and flower choices she chooses are so unique and dainty. Darling and Daughters knocked it beyond out of the park for our intimate 30-person September wedding. Maria was nothing but a goddess who provided stunning, lush arrangements replete with blooms that impressed all who saw them for our 1) wedding shower 2) to mark our original wedding date and 3) for our actual wedding, all while being respectful of our budget. Maria was with me through venue changes and extensive back and forth -- I had a lot of opinions and vision! She went above and beyond to be flexible with design elements for us. I cannot sing her praises enough. I spent a lot of time viewing floral portfolios and Maria's sings both in-person and in photos. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Working with Maria was the absolute highlight of my entire wedding planning process and it is hard to put into words how truly incredible she is. From the moment I first saw some of Maria's work and spoke with her on the phone, I knew that I had found someone special and never looked back. Maria is one of the kindest, most creative, and most genuine people there is and I could not feel luckier to have gotten to work with her throughout the wedding planning process. I know very little about flowers and had what felt like only a vague sense of what I wanted color and design-wise. But, Maria has an inexplicable talent for listening to a bumbling bride who is excited, nervous, clueless, and in need of guidance and translating her thoughts into something that is exactly what she never knew she wanted. Even though I did not meet Maria until the wedding day itself, I instantly knew I was in the best of hands and trusted her to make complete magic - a dream she completely hit out of the park. She also made herself completely available at any time throughout the wedding planning process, whether chatting on the phone, via email, or otherwise - making me feel as though I had met her a million times before. My breath was taken away when I finally saw everything she created for us on the wedding day - bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, centerpieces, a sweetheart table, decorations throughout the reception, flowers for our cake, and the most spectacular pergola design you've ever seen. We got more compliments on the flowers than any other aspect of the wedding and my heart is so full each and every time I think about the beautiful flowers. Maria was also extremely patient, flexible, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process - answering my tons of questions, working with me to make our designs fit our price point, and more. I cannot say enough good things about her and can't wait to find another excuse to work with her in the future!

I have been planning my wedding with Maria for over a year. We had numerous calls and a walkthrough at our venue, the Willard Intercontinental, to finalize our vision. Maria was always so patient and a true pleasure to work with. Nothing could have prepared me for how absolutely stunning the florals looked on our wedding day. I live in Arizona and our bride lives in DC..My daughter planned everything about her wedding , but I did ask to speak to the florist.We had a conference call ...5 minutes..I love flowers and the wilder the better..color, unusual flowers..not typical. My daughter let me have my chat and did Maria listen..The chuppah done with copper rods, and flowers one could only dream of were there. Now, the bouquet was a mix of flowers that literal took your breath away. Maria listen so well in our short visit and we cannot tell you how thrilled we were. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria and her team. They created the most breathtaking, beautiful, vibrant, romantic floral arrangements for my spring wedding. I knew from the start that I wanted my flowers to be different, I wasn't really a fan of the "tight" and "manicured" looks of flowers I had seen and experienced in dozens of other weddings. DarlingDaughters fit exactly what I was looking for (if you have time check out their instagram because I because I was AMAZED!)-Maria and her team worked very closely and personally with my family to create the vision we had in mind and I can only say that on my wedding day I was brought to tears by their creations. Luckily, my photographer was able to capture their beauty because I will literally be dreaming about these flowers for years to come.

The level of detail and care she put into our wedding day, made us truly feel like we were so important to her. When I walked into the ceremony space, it actually took my breath away. And I never expected to feel like Maria was a friend who poured her heart and soul into making our wedding day so magical and beautiful and special. I had 1,000 things on my mind leading up to the weekend, but the flowers and decor were not one of them, because I trusted Maria completely with it all. Goodness, where do I begin with all the wonderful things I would like to say about Maria and her work for my May wedding? Like others, I knew from our first conversation that Maria was the one to hire. In that first conversation, Maria spent over an hour on the phone with me gleaning my vision for my day. Maria was such a JOY to work with from start to finish. She truly has an eye for flowers and the product was more beautiful than we ever thought possible! She is such a kind person, and we could tell she cared from the minute we contacted her! She consulted with us multiple times, developed a Pinterest page of flowers for our wedding (which I was so excited about!), and worked tirelessly with our budget and vision to deliver a breathtaking collection of flowers. We were all blown away by the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and centerpieces she provided. Last minute, when our table count was lower than expected, she threw in a gorgeous welcome piece. I was just so excited to meet her in person when she delivered the flowers, so I could express to her how grateful we were for her efforts and care. She even used flowers from her own garden! Maria goes above and beyond, and we will forever be thankful for her part in our special day!

Maria was always so quick at returning my emails and answering all my questions. She made the planning process so easy and even accommodated last minute changes for me. The end result was BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you so much ❤️

Maria was incredible to work with. She is positive, professional, and has a great sense for what you want but can't articulate. The bouquet and arrangements that she created for me were stunning, original, and just what I had asked for. On top of that, she went out of her way to make our difficult wedding timing and schedule work, getting my bouquet to me early in the morning and setting up the rest of the flowers in a tight window between 5 and 6pm. I can't recommend her enough if you are looking for a talented florist who will tell it like it is, will over-deliver on her promises, and is just a sweetheart.

Darling & Daughters designed my bouquet, boutonnieres, and corsages for my wedding. From start to finish, Maria exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to make sure that my bouquet and other pieces were absolutely perfect. After a few months of emailing back and forth, Maria and I met the week of the wedding to finalize blooms and touch base and she is one of the warmest, most infectious and kind people I've ever met. Even though I had never met her before, she felt like an old friend and put me so at ease. 10 STARS!!!!!!!!! I was a stressed MOB (Mother of Bride), but when I reached out to Maria she was absolutely wonderful!!! Her sweet personality put everything at ease. After a short convo and the Bride and Venue she put it all together and the Brides wedding bouquet was absolutely stunning!!! The flowers just podded with color and freshness which was exactly what we wanted for this outdoor Garden Wedding!!! She also made the boutneers and placed the flowers on the cake. (Buttercream Bakery --Amazing) I am definitely going to use Maria's services again and would highly recommend Darling & Daughters for any occasion!
