Darling Photographers

Darling and her team are absolutely amazing and truly made our wedding day incredible! We feel in love with her after meeting her at our friend's wedding and seeing the final photos. She brings such a positive energy to the day with the best ability to capture those special moments while keeping the timeline moving. She helped us manage the entire photography process, from selecting our package to guiding us through engagement photos and picking which photos we wanted on the big day. I truly believe her organization and time management was the main reason the day went so smoothly! She has an amazing talent and attention to detail. She delivered the final photos ahead of schedule, and my husband and I truly were blown away. She exceeded our already high expectations. The photos were truly stunning. I was so impressed by her ability to photograph our large families and make everyone look amazing. My husband and I aren't used being in front of the camera, but she made us feel so comfortable and capture beautiful shots. We cannot thank her enough for capturing all the special moments (getting ready, first look, bridal party, ceremony, family, reception, and especially sunset photos)! From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Darling.

Cannot recommend Darling and her team enough!!! From the day we had our initial phone call with her to see if we would be a good "match", Darling made my husband and I feel like a part of her family. She was so welcoming and warm, and just an absolute blast to talk to!! Our engagement session was in 40degree weather (we were dressed like we were at the beach!), and Darling and Julie did a great job of capturing the perfect photos, while also being quick so we wouldn't freeze!! For our wedding day, Darling and her team did an AMAZING job of capturing the get-ready photos for the bridesmaids/groomsmen as well as Tyler and I. After the ceremony, when we were taking photos with the entire wedding party, Darling and her team even managed to get us all singing a Backstreet Boys song while she was photographing (not even sure how that one happened, but nevertheless it was such a wonderful moment). We had so much fun and it just felt like one big family reunion!! Darling was literally the PERFECT person to help Tyler and I capture the most magical moments of our wedding day---WE LOVE YOU DARLING!! <3

Darling was an outstanding hire for our wedding. We booked a 10 hour package with two photographers and engagement shoot. Her photos look natural and clear. You can really see the details in her photos. Her personality is contagious. My husband and I do not like taking photos and were worried we would be awkward in the photos. Darling made us feel natural and comfortable and she captured wonderful shots. The engagement photoshoot was really worthwhile because we were able to get comfortable taking photos and working with Darling. Darling and her team are professional and very hardworking. She captured all of the moments at the wedding and never stopped working. She also really helped us envision and plan our wedding day. She sent a wonderful book explaining how to get ready for our engagement shoot and wedding day. We were hesitant on having a first look, but we are so glad we did per Darling's advice. It gave us more time at the reception and also ended up being a nice private time together.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Darling and Julie. They were outstanding!! Not only do they take beautiful photographs, their professionalism and personalities were amazing. Will undoubtedly be the sweetest photography team you'll ever meet! One thing that was very important to me was that we found a photographer that could really capture the candid moments- capture the intimacy of the ceremony and first look, but also the fun at the reception and all of the personalities of our guests and wedding party. Darling took time to send a questionnaire and speak with us on the phone prior to our first photography session to really get to know us as a couple and what we wanted or didn't want when it came to our photographs and our wedding. Darling went out of her way to assist me with anything and everything I needed while planning the wedding. She quickly responded to all of my questions and provided expert insight. She even took the extra time to assist me with many questions that were not photography related- talk about above and beyond! And let me tell you, they were troopers for our engagement photos. I was set on having our engagement photos while the cherry blossoms were blooming in DC. Not only was Darling exceptionally flexible with rescheduling the date when peak boom was pushed backed (not once, but twice), but she came out at 7 am in 30 degree weather and 20 mph winds to take our photos. She even gave me her scarf in between shots because I was so cold. She made the day so much fun and captured true smiles and laughter from my husband and I. Then our wedding. Again, Darling came to the rescue! If I hadn't already learned that DC was unpredictable, I was reminded that day when there were protests in front of the Capital Building (where I wanted our first look to be) and road closures prohibited our transportation from getting to our meeting spot. Julie was with my husband and Darling stayed with me and the wedding party. They were in constant communication and quickly came up with a backup plan for us. We had a gorgeous, private first look at Library of Congress- and it was more perfect than I ever imagined. Then in true form, Darling made my dreams come true and encouraged us to go to the Capital Building for additional photos, despite the large crowds. So we had the opportunity to take photos with the protesters as we walked over and in front of the Capital Building. Our portraits are unbelievable!! I am so beyond happy with the quality of the photography and the overall experience with Darling Photographers. If you have not already booked your photographer- you absolutely must book Darling!!
