We hired Dash just under a year ago for our wedding last weekend. They were communicative & helpful! We wanted some extra uplighting which they provided, a gobo which was AWESOME...
, and of course, our fabulous DJ - DJ Brandi - who was fabulous from the second we met her all the way to the end. She MC'd beautifully, she DJ's like a master and she was overall, so great to deal with. We'd recommend Dash to everyone, we were so happy with their service. Super shout out to Brandi who was phenomenal throughout our whole planning process & made our day so much more special!
As my rating suggests, we were extremely happy with Dash Entertainment for our wedding. First of all, they have a fantastic website that really lets you get to know the DJs with bi...
os and sample mixes from each DJ. I would listen to the sample mixes at work to get a feel for each DJ and contacted the owner (DJ Nahchey) about my preferences. He was extremely responsive and even had some suggestions of DJs I had not considered. I then selected the DJ I thought fit our wedding best (DJ Amara) and got in contact with her directly. She was extremely professional, nice, and just a joy to meet over the phone (I think she offered to meet in person as well, but I was living across the country at the time). After falling in love with her as our DJ, the process of finalizing a contract for her through DJ Nahchey was extremely easy.
Throughout the buildup to our wedding, I cannot say enough good things about DJ Amara. She was extremely responsive (usually responded within a day for e-mail and was always available for a call) and extremely helpful. As there is so much going on with weddings, sometimes you want advice and she gave us some fantastic advice. Some other vendors would say "well, it’s really up to you" and not offer any suggestions, but DJ Amara had a full list of suggested songs for the various parts of our ceremony and reception. This was extremely helpful as even if we didn't pick one of her suggestions, it got us thinking along the right track and made our decision much easier.
We had DJ Amara for both our ceremony and reception and she did a fantastic job. She did a great job getting all the music right for the ceremony and even was able to improvise the music to fill in a dead spot when I was too busy crying and forgetting what I was supposed to do. As the transition from the ceremony to the reception could have been problematic (it was walking distance and the DJ booth/speakers/microphones, etc. had to be moved), DJ Amara did a fantastic job and the transition was seamless. We had some fun requests for walk-in songs for ourselves and wedding party (including mixes pre-made by our wedding party) and she had it all down perfect.
Throughout the rest of the night, she played all
the songs we requested for certain events (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, cake cutting, etc.) and all the music she played for the dancing totally fit us and our party. She could feel the vibe of the crowd and the music we wanted and was perfect. I cannot tell you how many people came up to us and said that this was the most fun wedding they have ever been to and DJ Amara was a huge part of it.
If you are looking for a DJ for a wedding or any other event, I couldn't recommend Dash Entertainment any more highly.
Nahchey was the perfect DJ for our wedding, he listened to our music preferences and played exactly what we wanted to hear. The party was going til 2AM and we were begging for mor...
e! We wanted a club feel at our wedding and not so much a typical "wedding dj" which he totally respected. He spoke when he needed to but let the music do the talking and lit up the dance floor. He was great!
Didn't need any direction, could read the vibe of the room and adjust the music accordingly. Understands multiple music styles. Kept the party going. Guests kept commenting, "Wo...
w, you have a really good DJ."
DJ Nahchey's string quartet played beautifully during our wedding ceremony and during the reception. They were totally discreet when needed but always provided the necessary ambien...
ce we asked for at all times. Originally we had wanted a string trio, but after talking to them and they suggested a quartet for better sound, we agreed and are so glad we did it. The only issue we had was that they play a lot of classical music and not a lot of contemporary. In the end, though, we picked all the classic songs and were very happy with what we chose because it will always be timeless. I would highly recommend DJ Nahchey's string quartet for any wedding!

We hired DJ Nahchey of Dash Entertainment based on a recommendation from our wedding planner. We knew we certainly wanted to go the DJ route and we only interviewed Na...
hchey as we didn't feel the need to interview anyone else after meeting him. We knew he was the perfect fit for our wedding from first meeting him.
I corresponded directly with Nahchey several times in the lead-up to the wedding, and he was always quick to respond within a couple days. On the wedding day he had a few simple questions for us before he was due to start, and he asked them at an opportune time without interrupting the flow of our day at all. We really appreciated his tact and professionalism throughout the evening. We had a smaller wedding, but a tough crowd, with many different ages and people from every corner of the globe so one-size-fits all was not going to work with our group. Nahchey was able to read the crowd and get everyone moving during the evening. His music choices during dinner were spot on. Many people commented it was the only wedding where they'd felt compelled to get up on the dance floor! That's a show of true success. My fear was an empty dance floor, and he ensured this wasn't the case!
On top of being a great DJ, Nahchey is a really easygoing, but highly professional person. He MCed the evening, ensuring he got everyone's attention when required, but not coming across as cheesy at all.
Nahchey is very accommodating and was able to provide additional services that we considered at various points in our wedding planning (such as a slide show screen, etc).
I would highly recommend Nahchey for your event.
With his experience spinning at clubs and A-list events, DJ Nahchey is the perfect DJ for your wedding and/or A-list event. We were worried about ending up with one of those "chee...
sy" DJ's and he is anything but that. He made our announcements with the exact tone we were looking for, and he was EXCELLENT at reading the crowd and spinning in/out of songs depending on the energy level. You just cannot go wrong with DJ Nahchey!
Dash provides the best of both worlds with experience with both contemporary settings (clubs, etc.) as well as weddings. I was looking for someone who was able to mix music genres,...
create mashups, and recreate a club experience on the dancefloor and he did that perfectly! He was totally flexible with all of my music requests (and I had a lot including some very specific Spanish music requests). He also was an excellent MC for the wedding party entrance. I would highly recommend him if you're looking for something a little more modern. He is not your average wedding DJ although because he is so flexible I'm sure he would be willing to make that your experience if that is what you are looking for!
DJ Nahchey did an amazing job at our wedding. The music was exactly what we wanted. He was very open to using whatever music we wanted and adding music that he thought we would lov...
e. So many people commented on how much they loved the music. At one point during the dancing I caught a glimpse of him, and he seemed to be really enjoying himself and smiling at the fact that the dance floor was packed. I think he takes a lot of pride in his work and really seems to enjoy what he does.
I would recommend him to anyone who wants a lively wedding with great music!
We got lot's of compliments on our D.J.
Dash Entertainment came highly recommended to us and they did not disappoint. With so much other stuff going on with the wedding planning ...
it was such a relief dealing with them, we gave very little guidance on the music direction and they knew exactly where to go with it; night went without one lul in the music.
They were very knowledgeable of music selection and super professional, my only regret was that I never got a chance to properly thank them for the great job they did.
DJ Nahchey was excellent. We were given a lot of freedom with the music selections, and he was open to making any changes that we requested. There was no cheesy wedding commentar...

DJ Nahchey with Dash Entertainment was amazing. Throughout the wedding and after the event, our guests kept telling us how perfect the music was. We wanted our dance floor to be pa...
cked with dancing guests all night and it definitely was. Nahchey really took into consideration what we wanted in terms of music and added his own unique mixes as well. The music appealed to both the older and younger guests. Choosing DJ Nahchey was probably one of the best decisions we made.
I highly recommend DJ Nahchey. He was a pleasure to work with and professional. He spun some good tunes and provided a great vibe for our wedding, while catering to our musical ta...

on with Nahchey from Dash Entertainment. He listened to the details concerning her
venue and what she envisioned and was extremely professional. He truly made my daughter's wedding a memorable experience. He voice quality was articulate and professional without being obtrusive. The music was exactly what my daughter requested and the timing was also perfect. There was dancing throughout the evening! Many guests called us after the wedding to comment on how wonderful the music was.
My hubby and I used DJ Nahchey from Dash Entertainment to create a 4 or 5 hour CD for our reception. Our Wedding was in Mexico and I didn't trust the resort DJ to have all the musi...
c we wanted. We had a call with DJ Nachey and discussed our music style and emailed him a list of songs that must be played and other songs that we liked if he could fit it into the remix. We also asked that some songs (for ex: Stevie Wonder songs) be kept as pure to the original as possible. Even with such an eclectic selection of music (Daft Punk, Journey, even some Elvis Crespo spanish Merengue) he was able to mix it all together so that the music fit perfectly and the music never stopped during our reception which is what I wanted. I had heard of people creating iTunes Playlists for destination weddings but the problem with that is there would be breaks between each song causing everyone to stop dancing. At my wedding, it felt as if we had a DJ there live mixing it up for us with no breaks.
I got so many complliments on the music and am happy with my decision. I highly recommend DJ Nahchey if you are considering creating a CD for your reception abroad.
a DJ can make or break the whole tone of the wedding. Thank you Dash Entertainment and DJ Jon. My wedding was amazing. People would not get off the dance floor and we had a blas...
t. Jon played all the perfect songs. He was really good at reading what people liked and went with it. It was a great mix. Thanks again, you helped make our night perfect!
DJ Eric recently DJ'd our wedding and he was absolutely wonderful! He played great music all night and had everybody dancing until the very end of the wedding. My dad, who generall...
y dislikes all parties, loved DJ Eric and was so happy to see everyone on the dance floor enjoying themselves. He was very respectful of of our "definitely do not play" list and had an amazing mix of songs going that pleased all ages at our wedding.
I would highly recommend DASH Entertainment, who also has extremely reasonable pricing, especially considering the top notch service. Our DJ was so personable and went out of his way to introduce himself and let us know that he was there to do anything we needed of him.
Dash Entertainment, and owner Nahchey Storer, are wonderful to work with - very responsive and accommodating. I booked my reception DJ and ceremony string quartet through Dash. A...
lex, the string bandleader, was helpful in music selections, his bandmates played beautifully. They did the traditional chamber music for the ceremony, and Alex helped me with options for each part of the processional and recessional. During cocktail hour, they livened it up with a mix of jazz and big band type songs and kept the mood light and fun.
Our DJ, Jon Brown, sub-contracts with Dash, and was amazing. My husband and I are country music fans, but many of our guests were not. Jon was able to balance our tastes by mixing songs to keep people on the dance floor all night long. He also was great at making the songs for our individual dances shorter with fade outs and such, so that we weren't dancing for the full 4 1/2 minutes of the song. He has great Emcee skills, and kept th evening without dominating the reception. Best of all - Jon's got some great tricks up his sleeve! Our best man referenced the TV show 90210 in his speech, and Jon was able to cue up the theme song to play out of the speech. People continue to talk about how great it was.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced Dash's services were. I was able to book my DJ and my string quartet for less than many of the other dedicated "wedding DJs" quoted me for DJ only services. I got fabulous music throughout the evening: classic elegance for the reception, great upbeat sounds to set the mood during cocktails and a super fun party to round out the night with zero "cheese" that it seemed came with many of the traditional wedding DJs!!
